Vacationing in the White Mountains offers a multitude of activities. We are 1.5 miles from Lake Chocorua and 3 from Silver Lake. Hiking trails are nearby. We are only 10 miles from Conway where there are restaurants for every taste and shopping at many locally owned stores as well as outlets. The scenic Kancamagus Highway is 8 miles away.
Built in the 1930's, the cabin features a field stone fireplace, centered between the kitchen and living room.
Description: There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a queen, each with a bureau, window seat and closet. Windows crank out to let in the summer air and the sound of peep frogs and/or crickets at night. There are two twin beds on the far side of the living room. Perfect Getaway Cabin!
Perfect Getaway Cabin!

We stayed a week at the camp, and the owners Ted and Becky are very inviting, helpful and did everything they could to make our stay great in New Hampshire. Upon our arrival at the camp, the cabin was clean, and much much bigger then the pictures indicate. A letter was on the kitchen table from Ted and Becky welcoming us, which was really a nice touch. The cabin itself is full of antiques such as a very old phone on the wall, and such. Games and books, along with pamphlets of attractions in the area were available in the cabin. We brought our two childern with us, ages 15 and 9 along with my wife and myself and had a great time. A great homepoint for trips to Mt. Washington and points all around. We came back after hiking all day and set up a nice campfire right outside the cabin with wood provided by Becky and Ted, feet away from the cabin. If you are on the fence on whether or not to stay at the camp for any reason, let me assure you that this is the perfect place to stay. Becky and Ted are the perfect host and hostess, that are far enough away not to bother, but close enough to help at any second. It was our pleasure to meet them, and stay at the camp for a week!Owner response: Thanks! We love our renters!

If you are looking for a charming, well-located, rustic cabin in the woods, with a great view of the mountains from across an open field surrounded by trees that show off their fall colors right in front of your door... look no farther ! The "camp", though rustic, is clean, well appointed and comfortable. The owners home is located in the same field (close, should you need them) yet set far enough away and out of sight to make one feel completely alone. The "camp" is close to lakes and hiking trails, the Kancamaugus Highway and all of the outlets for shopping. We were here to get away from our busy lives, to unwind for a few days, surrounded by nature and it couldn't have been a better choice for us. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We kayaked 3 lakes, hiked and found time to read our books in the sunny field right outside our door or on the cozy couch by the wood stove in the evenings. Anyone looking for a place that is off the beaten path ( but not too far) and close enough to the "Lakes Region" and the " White Mtns" to easily access both... give Becky and Ted a call ! They are knowledgeable, helpful and genuine people who will answer any questions you have about the area or the "camp". We look forward to getting back there again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Recently two dear friends and I brought our 14 year old daughters to this sweet spot tucked into the eastern edge of the White Mountains. When we arrived we found the "Camp" clean and orderly with everything we needed at our fingertips. There was even a lovely bouquet of wild flowers greeting us! The Camp is very private and quiet and a wonderful place to explore. Sitting around the campfire with our daughters was one of the many highlights! Caretakers Becky and Ted were available when we needed to ask them for suggestions of places to explore or had questions about the local history. They could not have been more gracious. I believe I speak for all six of us as I highly recommend the "Camp" and hope that we can soon return...I imagine the fall colors must be spectacular!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This NH cabin is well-appointed and accomodates six very comfortably. It is situated on the edge of the forest and has a fantastic view across an open field to Mt Chocorua. One can see literally hundreds of stars in the night sky. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The owners answered all our questions in email in advance or in person upon arrival. There are climbing trails, canoeing and swimming in mountain lakes. I have recommended this property to friends and family and actually my brother and cousin have stayed there since our visit this summer. This is a great place to enjoy the White mts.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

The peacefulness and view can't be beat. The beds were comfortable; I found that the lamps were well located and their light enabled cozy nooks for reading almost anywhere. The round dining table provides perfect seating for a hungry group. The field was nicely mowed. We loved the proximity to the Barnstormers summer theater, and to hiking on Moat Mountain. Also, nearby is a canoe rental where we paddled down a river to a lake.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I stayed in the cabin last year and very much hope to be able to return next summer. Rustic and cozy, well kept and clean, the cabin made for a perfect getaway for my much needed vacation. The cabin is privately located at the edge of a field, with the historic and lovely main house and barn out of view. At the far end of the field is a trail that leads through the woods to the Chocorua River. It was lovely and peaceful there. Mt. Chocorua, with trailheads within a few miles, looms over the field. Imagine climbing it one day and looking out the window the next, knowing you'd just been to the top! Somedays I lazily read a book and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. On others I explored the nearby areas, such as Chocorua and Silver Lakes, Mt. Washington, North Conway and more. And on cooler nights I'd snuggle up beside the wood stove and be totally relaxed and content. The caretakers, Becky and Ted, were a delight-- kind, genuine and helpful. I can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
