This 3 bedroom 2 bath condo located on beautiful Gorgona Beach is part of Playa Serena Resort gated beachfront community. This beautiful condo isn't a short drive to the beach or a short walk to the beach, this condi is ON the beach. From the balcony of this 19th floor home you have a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean and a spectacular mountain view as well. Condo is new w/ all appliances, a/c, WiFi, pool, equipped exercise room, etc. We can accommodate up to 6 people.
Coronado is just 3 km away with Hospital, Catholic Church, Synagogue, Banks and 2-24-hour Super Markets with Pharmacies. Nearby you can travel to El Valle mountain village with: Thermal Springs, Treetop aerial ride, peaceful mountain forest trails and Handicrafts and Farmers markets. You can drive or take tours of the Panama Canal, or visit nearby towns and enjoy natural tropical settings, Rainforests, Ecoturism.
Additional details: Fully equipped condo: All bedding, towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels are provided. The condo is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances, dishes, silverware and knives, table-wear, comfortable furniture, beds and patio table and chairs. We have a porta-crib for those people who have a baby with them.
We have stayed at some rentals that just were not what they advertised. You will have my email address (and there is very good high speed internet at the condo) and my cell phone number in the US. You can email or call me if you have any problems.
We don't have any 'hidden' costs, i.e., taxes, management fees, linen service, etc. If there is a final cleaning/management fee, this will be stated up-front in the rental agreement.
We really love it in Panama and we really love Playa Serena and the beach and surrounding area and we're sure that you will love it also.

We just returned from spending the month of February in Gorgona. Tom and Karen have this 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo prepared with everything. The kitchen is equipped with all you need and the space was great for the 4 of us. Wi-fi was easy and having access to free long distance in North America and a great Weber bbq. The view from the balcony overlooking the ocean on one side and the mountains and fishing village was great. We met wonderful people on our morning walks -an incredible beach and only a 10 minute walk to the fishing village for a fresh catch of sea bass. Just a few minutes to walk to the local sports bar, La Ruina - sit at the bar - and the bus stop is right across the street - 30 cents to the main road! Cabs were easy - the guard would call for us or you can set up the cell phone Tom and Karen have available and for $3. we drove into Coronado with 3 supermarkets - Super 99, the The Rey and and the El Machetazo - best produce We took a bus from the main road into the Albrook Mall in Panama City - $2.50. FYI - when you return, book your ticket in the Mall for Santa Clara and get off at Gorgona - you will need to buy a 'superpass card'' for $1.50 as well, not just the bus tickets - girls - hand.made jewellery @ isle where Chevalier is located at end.. Try to break your money into $20 dollar bills - you have to produced your passport for anything $50 and over in the grocery store. If you need help - Tom and Karen have a wonderful property manager, Carlo - he was there for us, when one of our companions forgot her insulin! There is also a new clinic in Coronado - the Doctor speaks English - $20 to see him! They even have a very good dentist in Coronado close to Super 99. Don't rent a car in Panama City - yikes - not a place you want to drive - construction!! Would suggest if you do, go to the De Cameron and rent one - 1/2 hr away - and drop it off before the day you leave and definitely get a cab to the airport - Day trip - definitely El Vallee - cooler - great market and busy on a Sunday. Grab Oscar for a tour of the Old City and the Canal - he picked us up at the airport - great English and sense of humour and a wealth of info. There are great restraunts and the local paper is now on-line for Coronado/area. We spent our last 7 days in Panama at the Playa Serena Resort Condo at Gorgona. After 3 weeks of sightseeing, we wanted a place to relax and time in the sun at the pool or beach. We were pleasantly surprised when we stepped into the condo. The kitchen was fully equipped and provided newer appliances, large and small. The washer & dryer came in quite handy for all of us. The living/dining areas were tastefully decorated and there were air conditioners and ceiling fans in each room. Cable and wireless internet were provided along with a number of DVD movies, magazines and books. Each bedroom had ample space for our cloths, luggage and Panamanian treasures (stuff). The building has gated access with a security guard at both entrances, and the building is well maintained. The pool and area were cleaned daily and we met many friendly neighbours. There were lots of lounge chairs, tables and chairs available for all tenants to use. Other than walks, we did not spend much time at the beach because of the heat, however the black sand glistens like diamonds when it’s undisturbed. This was my first private condo rental and the website description was totally accurate. Booking with the owner was easy and they provided additional information prior to arrival. We recommend the condo under this listing to anyone who’s looking for a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay in Panama.Owner response: We really enjoy hearing from people who have stayed at the condo and when they enjoy Panama so much it makes us happy as well. We really like sharing the experience here both with the country of Panama and the wonderful people here. We just got back from a week in Panama. The condo was great -- it was exceptionally clean and well-supplied with amenities like a washer/dryer, coffee maker, blender, cooking equipment and dishes etc. The beds were extremely comfortable. You can tell that the owners really love the place. It has all the best features of a hotel, but it feels like a home. The building itself is clean and well-maintained, and the security guards are very careful to check papers and keep the building safe. There is a large pool overlooking the beach, and an exercise room. Lots of English-speakers have bought condos in the building, and they are very friendly. Panama itself was a happy surprise. The country is not at all like I imagined. It's actually quite mountainous, and 30% of the country is now national parks. The mountains are easily accessible -- maybe an hour or two away by car. Because the condo is on the beach, there are ocean breezes, so although the temperature was in the mid-to-high 80s while we were there, it didn't feel that hot. About the owner: We (Karen and Tom) are from Syracuse, NY. Karen is a nurse-practitioner and real estate investor and Tom is a portrait photographer (retired) and a real estate investor. We traveled to, fell in love with and bought a 2nd home in Panama. We just love the area here and the people are wonderful.
Why the Owner Chose Gorgona:
We decided that we wanted to own a condo in a beautiful location someplace in the world that was on the ocean, warm year round, with fewer problems, i.e. hurricanes, where the people are friendly and just someplace that we would enjoy going to each time we traveled there. We found out about Playa Serena Resort before they had even begun construction on the project. So we traveled to Panama to see the location, talk to the developers and see a lot of Panama to be sure we'd like to invest and live there. Well we did it right. We enjoy Panama and the Gorgona/Coronado beach areas even more than we at first thought we would. In fact we now have decided to make Panama more of a permanent home in the near future.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We are located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Panama. Recently we talked to a Panamanian on the beach who had just bought at Playa Serena and he said, 'this is the first 'beautiful' beach you come to from Panama City. In the morning we run barefoot on the beach next to the ocean for around 3+ miles and then go for a swim in the ocean (or the pool). It really gives us a great start to the day. We enjoy relaxing on the beach or near the beautifully landscaped pool area. We're a very short distance from some great restaurants, some of which are even walking distance away. It's fun showing people around the area when they come with us for a visit, taking them to places like The Panama Canal or El Valle for shopping and lunch. Maybe drive to Albrook Mall or into Panama City for shopping. We have some friends that can arrange a fishing trip, complete with boat, bait and tackle if that interests you.
