My husband and I rented the Modern Beach House for ourselves, his parents and our dog for Christmas vacation. The house is beautiful and so well considered. The spa-like bathroom and the property's incredible landscaping were a huge hit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Modern Beach House and Tyron was terrific to deal with. Thank you for having us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Modern Beach House was all ready for us at our per planned time of arrival. Tyron was great in going over the operation of all the amedaties. The area the house was in was ideal for exploring the Sunshine Coast . The house was so fine that we could have spent the whole week there enjoying the beautiful views. Would highly recommend and definetly revisit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent an entire week at this beautiful house...on our honeymoon! We loved the pictures online...and loved the house even more! It really is beautiful; so open and spacious! Not a huge house, but more than enough space for two or even four! The house is so well equipped...anything you could need is here. Loved sitting on the deck to enjoy the spectacular view..never tired of it..Within walking distance to Sechelt (30 min one way) which we did a couple of times. One suggestion, a marker of some kind needs to be placed outside, so as to identify the house when driving by...easy to miss..especially at night..Ty was great to deal with and made us feel at home right away and showed us all around the property. Would definitely recommend a stay here! We really didn't want to leave!Recommended for: Romantic getaway

Spotlessly clean, this beautiful property embodies the very best about West Coast living. From the soaring bald eagles to the lush landscaping and access to the sea, relaxation is the only order of the day. We could easily have stayed a week in this extremely comfortable and zen-like home. It is my coastal dream property!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The stunning views, the house, the eagles, the privacy, the hot tub.....the perfect getaway. From the minute Ty greeted us at the door, the Modern Beach House experience blew us away. Loved the Japanese style landscaping, the awesome gourmet kitchen, and the heated floor in the bathroom was wonderful. The only way to experience beautiful Sechelt. We didn't want to leave! Two thumbs up! We will be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway

My husband and I decided to run away from work for a weekend, and booked this amazing accommodation last minute. Everything was perfect, the location is stunning and every square inch inside and out has been meticulously designed. We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Ty was great to deal with. The photos don't do it justice - a genius way to create the ultimate WOW factor upon arrival. I'm on the fence about giving this a perfect review but only out of fear that it will be fully booked the next time we want to come back - which will be very soon. Loved it, loved it, loved it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Fantastic views,property very well cared for.Modern everthing, we enjoyed our stay, close to everything. We would recommend this to everyone. The photos do not do the house justice, it is fantastic.We plan to return.Stairs to beach are very steep!! Wood burning fireplace great. Heated floor in bathroom,shower out of the ordinary.Sitting in hot tub January 01 watching humming birds feed on flowering plants so peaceful.Eagles landing in trees out front of deck.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were having a hard time deciding if we wanted to stay at a few different places or just one place along the coast for our nine nights, and we're very happy we decided on one place and that this was it. Even the front door is marvelous, and once we got through it, it was "ooohs" and "aahhs" for quite some time. The things that came in handy were: the kitchen is fully equipped, and laundry is on site. The things that we were looking forward to and were not disappointed were: hot tub overlooking the ocean, the overall feel and appreciation of the decor, the proximity to what you need in town and what you want in privacy, wifi that worked right away and without issues (if you still have to conduct some work on holidays), the fire stove for chillier nights. The things we were happily surprised by were: that awesome wall-free shower that just about makes you feel like you're showering in the garden (leave the outside door open too), the ability to have alone time in different areas of the property, and how could we not mention the folding doors...rain or shine, having the side of the house open to the view and elements was very cool, something that regular patio doors just can't give you. We are, unfortunately, avid tv and movie watchers at home, and we surprised ourselves by not watching a single program during our ten days - it felt like a place where you could renew a sense of just sitting and being (the hot tub helped, as did the library). There's no reason that a family with children wouldn't enjoy this home, but personally I would think this would be more of an escape home, so that's why I'm not selecting those options. As long as the stairs to the beach are not an impediment (steep in some places, rock steps in others), then I think anyone would enjoy this home. This was our 7th stay at a VRBO property, and sometimes the owner/manager can come across as much more of a landlord. So worth mentioning, the property manager who met us at the house was uber friendly, welcoming and charming...if coming here for a girl's getaway, make sure you invite him for dinner. ; )Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have just had a wonderful peaceful experience in this modern home. Fully equipped, with personality plus! Easy living floorplan, amazing bathroom, many good design/architecture books, and fully equipped kitchen. The doors open the whole wall to the ocean and deck...with stairs down to a perfect peaceful cabin where daydreaming begins....a place that keeps you longing for more time.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A beautiful home to spend time rejuvenating on the Sunshine Coast. Located just north of Sechelt, the home is conveniently located for exploring the communities along the Coast. When we arrived and walked through the front door, our first reaction was "wow". The home is impeccable. We were very comfortable throughout our stay enjoying the amazing views from the deck. Our Golden Retriever loved running up and down the stairs to and from the beach/ocean. Well worth the experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had such an extraordinary time at Modern Beach House. The house itself is just amazing and so beautifully and lovely equipped. We felt like home away from home right from the first minute. Thanks for sharing it with us! From the outside you have a spectacular view on the ocean and in the evening you can enjoy sitting at the fireplace and seeing the time go by and hiding somewhere right behind the mountains of Vancouver Island. The other morning we had an awesome breakfast outside and were able to spot eagles flying by and seals laying on a rock in the ocean. What an experience of sunshine coast beauty! Behind the house there is a magical, private stairway to the ocean and the beach where you can have wonderful walks. We loved every minute in modern beach house and left it with great and romantic memories and the feeling that we should have stayed longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This property is a Amazing! My girlfriend and i have stayed up here twice now, and both times came home feeling refreshed and relaxed. The owner has really took time in some amazing details in both comfort and appearance, which allowed us to let go and just enjoy all the things this place has to offer. Watching the sunset while eating dinner by the outdoor fire pit was almost surreal. The beach cabin is also a perfect example of how great and well thought out this property is. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with forest hikes and waterfront walks, i highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This getaway was really the most stress-free, nature oriented way to shed all the worries of the day to day. Being from Toronto, the cliff-top Sechelt experience really brought my love of beautiful British Columbia to new heights. I loved the access to beautiful hikes nearby, the cozy reading cabin by the beach (I devoured my novel while listening to ocean waves and birds fly by), and loved the open rain shower with the view of the Japanese garden. No doors on the shower- I felt like I was going against the rules and loving it! If you ever have a chance... treat yourself to this experience. It's so worth it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
