We had a delightful week at Cuatro Vientos. The kitchen was well equiped for our Thanksgiving dinner. The house is conveniently located in Los Olivos and has a beautiful view of the hills and vineyards. It's a very comfortable and well maintained house and we all really enjoyed our visit. The owner had a comprehensive and helpful notebook with instructions on using the house and on local attractions. We visited many wineries for wine tastings, and also made a trip to Hearst Castle and Big Sur. I highly recommend this house and the area for a lovely vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a nice, relaxing trip largely due to your home and lovely surroundings. I don't think that we needed anything! Thanks for sharing your home. Sunrises over the pool were beautiful. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect. Would love to come again sometime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was the perfect house for us. We were here for our daughters wedding at the Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse. We spent 4 days with our closest friends able to relax amongst all the activities. Weather could not have been nicer. After the wedding we unwound for a day sitting by the pool. This is a terrific home in a beautiful area. We hope to return but will always have fond memories of the past five days here. Figueroa Mountain FarmhouseDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My fiancee and I got married in a vineyard in Santa Ynez. I needed a house for my side of the family to stay at, and found this house online. Noel was very patient and easily available for any questions or concerns during our stay. The house was beautiful! It is a one story house so no stairs were needed to be navigated by my 70-plus old parents. We all live in different parts of the US, so the living room was a great way to maimize spending time together. For food, we drove and bought food from Los Olivos Grocery. This was less than 5 minutes away, so we saved money eating out and still enjoyed good food and each others company. The furnishings were very complete, we did not lack for anything in entertainment and kitchen appliances. Excellent bathrooms and plumbing meant good hot showers. My 'wedding getting ready day' went well with the 3 bathrooms. Location wise, this was a short drive from the reception vineyard, so my family drove home safely after the wedding. Everyone know how that goes! Lastly everyone loved the view from the patio! We sat on the lounge chairs and swam in the pool and the jacuzzi to 'decompress' around the wedding activities. The view was magnificent and the outdoor area was well manicured. Our memories of our wedding, will include the wonderful pictures and laughter and joy of our stay at Noel's house:). I would love to come back, hopefully sooner than later.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Cuatro Vientos was almost absolutely perfect for our family reunion for a wedding in Solvang. It was beautifully furnished and equipped, and we received excellent and accurate assistance throughout the reservation process. Other relatives in town for the wedding dropped by -- and returned -- since we had such a great spot in which to relax or entertain, as the moment warrented. The pool was refreshing and a treat for all, and we spent most of our time on the huge veranda overlooking the pool and hills beyond. I felt like we were in Tuscany. It was particularly helpful for us to be able to walk into Los Olivos, a charming wine-infused town. I would say the only negative concerned beds -- all were queen, rather than a mix of queen and singles, which precluded all of my children from joining us at the house. One bed across from the fantastic master bedroom, was as hard as a rock, and my daughter ended up sleeping on top of the down comforter. These issues may not be stumbling blocks for other renters, however. I have already recommended Cuatro Vientos to all of the people who visited us and will continue to do so in the future. It was a great house -- beautifully furnished, comfortable, and a gracious place to stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This space was beautiful! There were five of us, but we could have fit plenty more people. Would be a great retreat for four couples. Downtown Los Olivos was literally minutes away. There were tons of kitchen appliances (even a pizza stone) and the bedding was sooo amazing. We all got the best night sleep - and it was a bachelorette party! So thankful to Noel for allowing us to stay in her enchanting home.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our group of 7 "girls" had a great stay here, it's a beautiful home. We had some difficulty in getting the jaccuzzi heated (switches, knobs not well-labeled), and the BBQ condition (lack of propane, not very clean) left a little to be desired, but it ended up raining most of the weekend anyway so while these were amenities we were looking forward to, they were not greatly missed. The home and grounds are well-maintained and extremely comfortable. We would love to go back again and stay at this home!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The property is more beautiful and comfortable than imagined through the pictures and description. Very beautifully decorated and completely functional for a party of 8. Beds and pillows comfy and down comforters on every bed. Well equipped kitchen, high end stove top and double oven as well as a bbq out back. Did I mention the view? Rolling hils of Los Olivos very tranquil, no noisy neighbors. Soo much better for a group than staying at a hotel! Save money, cook in and enjoy the amenities. Instructions clear and reasonable ( strip beds, take out the trash, leave stuff where it was, clean the dishes). We are already talking about next year!! Thank you Noel, it was spectacular.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We took my parents up to Los Olivos for their 50th Wedding Anniversary and stayed at this property. Our group included me, my husband and our two kids 12 and 9; my sister and her husband; and my parents. It was really an ideal location for us because it offered comfort and convenience for us to all spend time together for our celebration. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed sitting in the sun in the backyard enjoying the views. We also used the jacuzzi several times - my kids especially enjoyed it - and the stars were amazing at night. The owner has everything provided that you could possibly need for your stay and it is extremely well-organized and clean. I did have one question while we were there and my phone message was returned within 15 minutes. There is a huge selection of books, all stored alphabetically by author that we all had fun browsing. For the kids there was a great horseshoe pit in the backyard, bocce ball set and a hammock. They also had access to Wii games and a piano to play in the family room. The adults enjoyed relaxing and having a spot close to town for the quick grocery trip. We also spent a day wine tasting and another day we played golf. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a spot that feels luxurious and relaxed at the same time.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I just returned from a weekend at the hacienda. It was perfect for our group (4 adult couples). Every couple had a comfortable bedroom and only 2 couples had to share a bath. This place is a gem. It is walking distance to the small town of Los Olivos, and was great in every way. Having our own pool was a special bonus. We all loved it and will be back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My husband and I had the privledge of staying at Noel's beautiful Hacienda with 6 of our closest friends. The house was amazing and the short walk to the town of Los Olivos was really nice. Lot's of wine tasting without having to drive was a plus. There is a small sandwich cafe in Los Olivos called Panino. There are some oudoor umbrella tables and the sandwiches and salads are fantastic. We had lunch there two days in a row. The pool and spa at the house were wonderful for relaxing in the afternoon and evenings and the views in the morning and at Sunset were breathtaking. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The pictures and descriptions of the house were accurate and the house was spotless when we arrived. We took a drive to Solvang one day, which was only a 15 minute drive, and on the way stopped at the Quicksilver Miniature Horse Ranch. I can't say enough about our trip. Our group has done several trips like this and I believe we all agreed this was one of the nicest and most relaxing. This house has the style and beauty that adults will enjoy. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a family or group getaway. Thanks Noel. We will definitely be back! So quiet at night with just the sounds of crickets and frogs. The pool and spa are wonderful. The owner keeps this property impeccably clean and she is extremely warm and welcoming. Cuatro Vientos Vineyard Hacienda was the perfect place for our family to prepare for the wedding of our youngest daughter held in late January. The hacienda was more beautiful in person than the website could possibly portray. A great setting for some of the pictures taken before the afternoon wedding at Matteis Tavern. We highly recommend dining at Brothers Restaurant at Matteis. Excellent food and service!!! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Great kitchen, dining and living room areas. Beautiful pool and the hot tub was enjoyed by several of our guests. We look forward to visiting several of the many wine tasting rooms in Los Olivos on our next trip to the Hacienda!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Cuatro Vientos! Our entire group could not say enough good things! The rooms were very nice, beds were so comfortable! The kitchen is all updated with gorgeous stone counters. And there is so much room, we weren't on top of each other at all. And the outside was fantastic too! The pool was amazing, we grilled dinner one night, and fires each night in the fire pit. Plus you can't beat the view of the rolling hills with grapvines right on the property, running down the hill. Each day we made the short walk into downtown Los Olivos. It's dark at night (so bring a flashlight), but such a nice easy walk.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had such a wonderful experience at Cuatro Vientos that we started planning our return trip before we even left. Two days was not nearly enough to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of the home and the grounds (as well as Los Olivos and the wonderful people who live and work there). Next year, we'll go for a full week. There ended up being just three of us on this trip - it was wonderful and very relaxing to spread out in the house when we wanted, and then spend time together cooking, playing the piano and enjoying the beautiful backdrop of the mountains and the vineyard from the infinity pool and jacuzzi. Both sunsets and sunrises are absolutely stunning at Cuatro Vientos, and I highly recommend rising early with the sprinklers to watch as the sun rises from behind the mountains and the sky turns gold, with mist rising from the vineyard. Likewise, bring some warm clothing and lay out on the chaises long after the sun sets and watch as the Milky Way puts on a show, unrivaled in most areas. Cuatro Vientos surpassed our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return. My thanks to Noel for welcoming us into her home and providing the environment to create life-long memories.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family is spread all over the globe, so we decided to meet in the Santa Barbara wine country to celebrate Thanksgiving 2009. It was our best family vacation ever. The home was even more lovely than the photos and description on line. Everything was clean and I particularly liked the master suite, where my husband and I stayed. Cuatro Vientos was all set up for cooking a Thanksgiving feast. Every utensil or serving piece was right where you would expect it to be. We cooked a turkey and a standing rib roast. There was even silver service for 8! We used the counter as a buffet and all sat together at the beautiful dining room table to dine. Several days in late November were warm enough to have breakfast outside by the pool. The jacuzzi at night was perfect regardless of the air temperature. The house was laid out well for both sleeping and partying. My husband and I could go to bed at a reasonable hour while the "kids" could stay up in the family room at the other end of the house to watch movies, talk, drink wine, or play the piano, and everyone was happy. The central location made it easy to find all of the local wineries near Santa Barbara. It was less than a mile to town (Los Olivos), so we could walk to and from restaurants and not worry about having an extra glass of wine with dinner. I'm looking forward to visiting the Southern California wine country again and would absolutely stay at Cuatro Vientos whenever I'm in the area. It was great!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Spent the Celebration of the Harvest weekend here with 3 other couples. House lived up to the billing, pictures were accurate. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds comfortable.Noel and her son live on the property so if you have any questions or problems they are there to take care of or help. The pool and hot tub are a nice touch, although the weather wasn't really swimming weather, we're from Chicago so we did swim ( mostly used the hot-tub ) but we did swim too..When you sit out back you are looking over vineyards and a neighbors horse farm, just beautiful country, however just a short, 3/4 mile walk and you're in downtown Los Olivos. We walk to town a few mornings and picked up bagel's and breakfast sandwiches at a local coffee shop, there are also 20+ tasting rooms downtown. Foxen Wine trail starts about 6 miles to the north-east and the Danish town of Slovang is about 7 miles the other direction. The house loos\ks smaller than it is from the outside but once inside there is plenty of space to rest ,relax, read... but we came for dining and wine tasting and it worked out great for us. The one thing that made the girls uncomfortable is on 2 evenings they heard something scratching on the walls, of course us big bad boys protected them of course and teased as well...It's in the country and wildlife lives there too so a squirrl or raccoon could have been looking for food, which we weren't prepared to share. All in all we had a great time and would recommend to anyone looking for a great starting point for all things Santa Ynez, Santa Maria, and Slovang.....Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days this past summer. Perfect size for the 4 of us. Lovely home, just needs a little TLC. Previous owner smokes and there was a daily smell permeating the house. The pool cover was broken for the first 3 days we were there, pool temp. was very cold. Hot tub never got hot, more like a lukewarm bath, owner was there but it never got fixed. I felt the price per night did not/does not match with quality of the home...Owner response: There were two wild fires burning within 25 miles of this location at the time this party stayed at the Hacienda and the ground was covered with ash and the smell of smoke permeated everything. The pool cover has been fixed. It took two call backs from the company for this to be accomplished. The company is located 75 miles from here so we are at the mercy of their scheduling as they only do maintenance in is this are on certain days. There have been no other complaints regurading the jacuzzi, so this may have been a miscommuncation on the proper way to operate it. Every attempt is always made to fix or repair any euipment in a timely manner.

My wife and I spent the beginning of this Easter week at Cuatro Vientos and if it were not for the fact that the Santa Ynez Valley offers some excellent wine tasting adventures, we would have never left the beautiful patio overlooking the pool and panorama views of the hillside vineyards. This was the epitome of relaxation. Besides the many varied wineries the valley offers, there are a number of three star restaurants (my opinion) within a few minutes of the Hacienda as well as bicycle paths and hiking trails. And if you are into the casino scene the Chumash Indians have a luxurious casino within a few minutes drive. Our hostess, Noel, made us feel like family and since she has lived in the valley for many years she could direct us to all of the local sights. We can't wait to return for our next stay in June.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
