At night you will wrap yourself up in comfy 300 to 400 thread count sheets and nice beds. Bear's Den offers fine mountain living at a great value from our spacious decks and great room to the privacy of 2.5 acres surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. - Pet Friendly: Bear's Den is a pet friendly home. We allow pets for a nonrefundable $125 per pet fee. We ask our guests to clean up after their pets both in and out of the home. Other restrictions apply per rental agreement.
- Wheelchair Accessible: We have a 5 foot wide ramp which has a slope of 1 to 6 at the bottom and 1/12 (ADA guidelines) at the top. The main portion of the home is wheelchair accessible, but our bathrooms are NOT. We make no claims on accessibility beyond the ability to enter the home from the main level to the parking area.

We are Bob and Tonya Williams and we started Mountain Bear Cabins with the purchase of this awesome home. We now have 5 wonderful vacation homes from Nantahala to Dillsboro. We also own the Dillsboro Chocolate Factory and live in the area with our 3 kids.
Why the Owner Chose Nantahala
This place is awesome and it is close to everything in the Smokies. Bear's Den is less than 2 miles from the take out on the Nantahala River and is less than 10 minutes to Tsali and Lake Fontana. Bryson City is no more than 15 minutes away!

We offer great small lodging and consider ourselves as small lodging providers and you, our guest. We strive to provide excellent service and live within 20 minutes of all 5 of our homes, so if you need something special, we can make it happen or do our best making it happen and if something ever goes wrong, we will be there for our guests. Bear's Den is one of two homes we have available in the heart of North Carolina Smoky Mountains. It is a wonderful 3 level home w/ 3 full baths, kitchen and 3 bedrooms and a bonus room. We feature only Hot Springs spas in our homes. It has a nice view of Wesser Bald and is located on 2.5 secluded acres tucked in the Nantahala National Forest just outside the eastern end of the Nantahala River Gorge. It is minutes away from white water paddling, mountain biking at Tsali and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
