We stayed for five days over spring break and had a nice time. The house is older with a few updates but comfortable and has a good layout for a family of four. The fire place was nice as was the hot tube on the ground level, especially after a long day of skiing. Chris the owner was easy going and responsive to a request for fire wood. The sliding glass back door was a little wonky and some new shades in the master bedroom would be good for privacy in the summer time, But these are easy fixes and Chris is probably already on it. The house is centrally located and it was easy to get in and out to the mountain. The location is wooded and quiet but close by a bike path that would be convenient in the summer time. For the price it was a great deal compared to lodge condos or some of the other properties we looked out.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Our stay at this house was very nice. The location is great. It is close to the village mall, sunriver lodge, and mt. bachelor. The fireplace was very warm and cozy. Unfortunately all the keys in the place did not work on anything such as opening the hot tub. Some electrical outlets did not work. One of the stove burners also did not work. There also was not a microwave. It may have said that there wasn't in the review though. It is however very clean. The local contact does a nice job of cleaning it, but if you have questions and call her she does not answer her phone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: My wife,Nicole, and I purchased the home in 2003. We truly enjoy the great skiing, cycling, and outdoor recreation the area has on offer.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
In the summer, Sunriver offers immense opportunity to cycle on the smooth, uncrowded roads surrounding the resort. In addition, the resort offers access to the numerous, crystal clear lakes surrounding mt. bachelor. In the winter, the world class skiing of mt. bachelor is conviniently located 15 miles from the resort. Sunriver is the nearest full scale resort to the world class skiing at mt. bachelor.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Several unique benefits about our property is that it backs up directly to one of the numerous biking and hiking trails surrounding sunriver. In addition, the home is located at the very back of the east butte cul de sac which results in a greater amount of privacy than other homes in the direct vicinity offer. Our home is a mere 5 minute walk to the new aquatic center due to open in early may.
