  It was a very nice weekend ! The house is right on the lake, so if you have a boat or jet-ski you can keep it by the dock. House is awesome, very clean, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, very nice neighborhood !!! Highly recommended !

  The owners were responsive and helpful, and available at any point of our stay. The beds were comfortable the rooms were very clean. The view of the lake (in Autumn) was breathtaking. The open floor plan was perfect for family visits. I would recommend this home - absolutely! It's a nice location for wine tasting, visiting apple cider mills and chocolatiers. It's a Ranch home and is perfect for older folks who may have issues with steps. Also perfect for 2 familes traveling together with kids. (The only issue was the "loudness" of the pump that is in the "bunk" bedroom closet - it's only loud for the person(s) in that back room. But the owners are planning to insulate it and the issue should be resolved soon).

  The previous reviews attest to the desirability of this vacation home. The owners have not skimped on any details; their home is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The view as you walk in the door was certainly outstanding but discovering the quality of the furnishings and appliances, the comfortable furniture and the attention to detail was the most pleasant surprise. I'm not sure how they do it, but the owners are very attentive, yet not at all intrusive; they clearly want their clients to be happy and enjoy the use of the vacation home. We were pleased to see that the back yard is fenced on 2 sides (with the third side being the lake) so our little dog could be outside without a leash. The house is as described and depicted in the listing, you won't be disappointed! We also had some internet issues, but feel that they have been completely resolved at this point, due to the willingness of the owners to "do what it takes". They are already making plans for soundproofing the noisy well pump and they are so diligent in thier desire to have a great property I am sure they will make the changes as quickly as they are able. BTW, there is not a mailbox, so if you wish to forward your mail for a longer stay, do so under "general delivery". The house sits in a quiet cove and the 3 season room is a lovely place for meals, or to sit and relax. The surrounding area is charming, with some of the best chocolate you've ever tasted (Chocolate Garden)! There is also a cider mill with fresh cider doughnuts that are darn tasty, as well as, several local restaurants in the area. The owners provide information regarding the rental of a nice pontoon boat for those who arrive without a boat. We stayed in this property for 2 weeks, with our adult children visiting part of the time, (total of 6 adults), we all agreed that the house and Paw Paw lake are both places we would easily recommend to others.

  Our vacation at Paw Paw Lake was very enjoyable! The house was perfect for our multi-generational family. We especially used the 3 season room. The fact that the public boat launch was so close & we had our own pier made using our boat very convenient. Coloma & Watervliet were both quaint little towns with plenty of restaurants, wineries, antique stores to visit. We especially enjoyed the Loma movie theater. The proximity to Lake Michigan beaches was also good

  This home far exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness, upgrades, and size. The house included anything you could need such as linens, kitchen utensils, seating, etc. One of our favorite elements was the sun room, we ate almost every meal out there! We also brought our boat on the trip and it was very easy and quick to load the boat at the nearby boat launch and then kept it right at the dock at the house. This was a PERFECT boating (skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, etc.) lake, very quiet and easy to get around. We also enjoyed the location because we were able to easily jog around the area through scenic streets that surround the lake. In addition we enjoyed visiting the nearby towns of South Haven and St. Joseph. There were just a few things that would be helpful to know when planning a visit here. The main one is that the third bedroom has a pump, water heater, and water softener in the closet. This pump is very loud and can be very startling when it goes off in the middle of the night. We originally had a 7 month old baby sleeping in that room, but had to move her because she was awakened so often. Also if you are an avid fisherman this might not be the lake for you. My husband spent 4-6 hours a day fishing at various times and only caught 4 fish the whole week. Also we learned that Paw Paw has an algae problem, so swimming right off the dock was not very appealing, but the water out in the bay and in the main lake was deep enough that swimming was enjoyable. Finally, the wireless internet had intermittent service, and it was very slow. It was usable, but if you plan on using the internet for work it may be a problem for you. Overall, we would still say our stay was excellent! I just included some of the drawbacks so people can plan their vacation accordingly.

  Owner response: Hi Mary, I'm glad you liked our place and had a good time. Thanks for the comments on the issues you had. We have addressed the internet situation; it was apparently not password protected and therefore unauthorized users were cluttering it up. We are working on the water softner situation, this is the first time we have heard about it being a problem. As far as the fishing, I'm sorry your husband did not have much luck during his stay. Paw Paw Lake has fishing tournaments every week because it is known for their abundance and variety of fish. There was one this morning, and my husband and I watched a fisherman catch a large mouth Bass right in front of our house. I don't know what else to say about that. And finally, The Paw Paw Lake Association has already implemented a treatment program to reduce/eliminate the algae/weed problems along the shorelines and throughout the entire Lake. It will be getting better with each treatment but is obviously a work in progress. Hope to see you again soon. Thanks again!

  My husband & I celebrated our Anniversary at this beautiful home (lucky us!) The owners even had a cake waiting for us, as well as many personal touches to make you feel welcome. The listing photos are beautiful. But we were blown away when we stepped in the door. I can't say enough about the cleaniness & organization. It's beautifully decorated, with so many ammenties, cooking supplies, Weber Grill, bikes,etc. We so enjoyed the large stereo & open concept of this comfortable & immaculate home. If it's a day of fun boating or just reading by the relaxing water feature: it's all there & more. It was so hard to leave, and we can't wait to return. Thanks Judi & Oliver.

  Our family rented this lovely home for Labor Day 2011. The home is so inviting and was immaculate! Judy and Oliver welcomed us with some delicious cheesecake, and couldn't have been nicer! We fell in love with Paw Paw Lake, and would definitely considering staying here again! Thanks for everything!

  We had the best time staying at this vacation home this summer! Our family of four had plenty to do and my three year old was more than content with fishing in the lake off the pier and taking rides in the paddle boat!!! The couple was so accomodating and friendly it felt like we were visiting family. The decor was so beautiful we instantly felt at home the second we walked in!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about this vacation home! Great summer vacation!

  My family has been vacationing on Paw Paw Lake for 13 years. Our experience in this home just last week was the best week ever. The owners could not be more accommodating. The home is extremely inviting and cozy; very clean and excellent use of sleeping space (two bunk beds in one room). The location on the lake not only provided serene views but also the "no wake" traffic kept all our water toys from banging off the dock. Don't be discouraged by the owners living near the rental property.....other than when we moved in, the only other time we saw them was when they towed our daughter back to the dock on her stalled waverunner! Definitely coming back next year.

  This lake home is exactly as it shows in the photos. It is immaculate with every amenity that you could imagine. The owners were wonderful and even had a welcome basket when we arrived. They live near by and noticed that we didn't have a boat so they purchased a paddle boat for us to use!! I can't say enough about this gem of a house and the owners. The location is also fabulous, we went to St. Joe and Southhaven if you enjoy Lake michigan towns and beaches. Thanks Judy, we will definately be back . Hopefully even before next summer!
