The Fig Tree home is located on the largest lot in the settlement of Hope Town and is ideal for weddings, corporate retreats or family reunions. The Lot stretches from the Hope Town Harbour and lower road to the upper road and ocean view. It is literally next door to the Hope Town Harbour Lodge. If you need more bedrooms than we have in our home, the Lodge is the only Hotel in town and next door to our home. Our guests have easy access to the fine dining, and beach bar, boutique and open air terrace for sunset cocktails.
The home is a combination of historic design with modern amenities. The front of the home is on the upper road of the village. It is just steps to one of Hope Town's best swimming / snorkeling beaches. There is a large living area with 60" flat screen HD TV and comfortable furnishings. The home offers high speed Internet and a personal home network for multiple computers.
The bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed and a full bath. The kitchen overlooks the Harbour and boasts a breakfast bar as well as a separate dining area. Upstairs has a large master suite with a Queen and an ensuite bathroom. The second master has a Queen and ensuite bathroom as well.
The best feature of the home is the expansive outdoor deck with a large outdoor grilling kitchen and bar. It has new outdoor dining and lounge furnishings and is overlooking the Hope Town Harbour and Lighthouse. The deck leads to a private 100’ dock. There is a specially reserved golf cart parking as well as gated private dock. The dock offers complimentary runabout docking up to a 30 foot boat - Optional 60’ boat slip with metered power. This home will become a family tradition. Just on market for first time and we would consider long term leasing.
Our home also has a newly installed Auto-Start Generator, which is important in the Bahamas
We have been visiting Hope Town for over 30 years. When we decided to retire and buy a home here, we utilized our extensive rental experience on all locations on the island and purchased this home because of its ideal location.
We wanted a house that was within walking distance for us and our guests to the restaurants, bars and boutique shops in the settlement without the need of a golf cart.
We are renting out home, because, we made the decision to live on our 54 ft boat full time while we still have our health and desire for adventure on the high seas.
You are invited to come to Hope Town and enjoy this home while we are cruising the Bahamas.

Why Hopetown:
We have been coming to Hope Town for over 30 years and rented homes all over the Island. We love being in the settlement because a golf cart is not required. Over the years we discovered that a big plus for us was, for our kids and guest to be able to walk to breakfast, lunch or dinner, beach etc. If we rented out of town and our golf cart was gone, we were stuck at home until it got back.
