This unique architectural marvel is a hidden oasis in the peaceful village of Manzanita! The house backs to a wildlife refuge so it is the perfect place for wildlife spotting and it sits just a block off the beach!
The three bedroom house features a spacious kitchen that is fully equipped with a large dining room table that seats 8 with views of the wildlife refuge to the north. The kitchen gives way to a cozy living room with a flat screen cable TV and a wood fireplace. There is small staircase that leads you to a delightful reading room that is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of the world as there are ocean views to the west and views of serene forest views to the north. The master bedroom is on the main floor as well and it features a private bathroom and a comfortable king sized bed to make each night as peaceful as can be.
The lower level of the house features two bedrooms, each with their own unique design. The bunk room has sliding glass doors that lead to the lower deck - it is the perfect place for kids to play and explore nature as there is an abundance of wildlife to seek out right out the back door. The second bedroom on the lower level features a loft bed that has picturesque views from every angle. There is a full bathroom and a laundry room on the lower level as well.
The property is surrounded by a wildlife refuge and the upper deck and the boardwalk walking path provide a perfect setting to read a book or take in the scenery. It is such a unique home that it was selected to be shown in the Manzanita Tour of Homes last year!
Manzanita is a gorgeous small town filled with boutique shops, restaurants, galleries and a long stretch of sandy beach. For those that seek a little more adventure, Oswald State Park just north of Manzanita provides an excellent surfing beach as well as beautiful hiking trails and view points. You can take in the most beautiful view on the coast from the top of Neahkahnie Mountain to the north.

Nice clean place. If you don't like periodic frogs songs during the day and night (not very noisy, but you will hear them) - bring earplugs. I liked this place. The place is beautiful. A lot of birds and even fawns. The shoreline is more like a bay, because it is closed from the right by big green hill which often has clouds or fog on it's top.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house was exactly as it looks on the web site. Everything was top notch! The details in the home are so well thought out. We loved hanging out in the library and looking at the birds and scenery. A quick walk to the beach was perfect for us. It was also great to walk along the beach to town. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I have spent the past two President's Day weekends at this wonderful home. We love the fact that it is close to the beach. The interior is first rate and very comfortable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family of 7 met up in Manzinita after the hectic Holiday's to just relax and be together. This was the perfect place. The property is beautiful and well maintained and the location was perfect. Close to the beach and every need was already addressed, even a cheese grater in the kitchen drawer. Thank you for all of your attention to detail. We will rent from you again without question! Amazing place. We were stunned by how beautiful this rental was. We have rented many houses in various vacation locations over the years -- on the Cape, in Ontario, others in Oregon -- and never had such a terrific rental. The place is beautiful, from the art on the wall to the surroundings to the furnishings.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

6 sisters stayed here for extended weekend. it was perfect. the sleeping accomadations were great. kitchen big and well stocked, we enjoyed fixing meals and sitting around the large dining table for meals. we shopped at local markets and farmers markets. loved sitting out on the back balcony in the morning w our coffee talking and listening to all the birds. the beautiful beach was 1/2 block away to enjoy long walks. the house was clean,relaxing, and probably the best place we have stayed for our sisters weekends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was perfect for our vacation in Manzanita. Whether we needed to spend some time alone or time together, there was a spot for it all. Easy stroll to the beach or to town. Rating: 5/5 Our Oregon vacation. Our stay in Manzanita was lovely. The home is beautiful. My husband and I from PA had the master suite on the main level. My son, his wife, and one year old had the lower level. This gave all the privacy for each family that was needed. The wildlife area behind the house was great.. and the walk to the ocean took us 2 -3 min. The frogs were croaking, lots of birds flying near, and a serene setting. We could not have asked for a better home- decorated perfectly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The home provided everything needed for a longer weekend stay. It feels safe, solid and very cozy that you almost don’t want to leave the house to check out beautiful Manzanita with its beaches and state parks. The home is in close proximity to the beach with a phantastic view on a little wetland with birds, ducks and lots of frog noise of course.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
