The lodge had everything we needed! Cell phone and internet in the lodge would be nice (there is internet connnectivity in the community center) but other than that, it was laid out nicely so everyone could get a good night's sleep and wake up to a lot of fun options of games to play if they didn't want to head up to ski.

My family and I have stayed at this cabin a number of times over the years, and have seen the owners transform it from a great place to a phenomenal place! There is a ton of room for everyone, wide open kitchen, great dining room for meals and games, modern amentities and appliances. The hot tub is clean and big, perfect after a long day on the hill. Bedrooms are comfy and warm. And of course the house is very close to Baker! If you stay here you will have a blast!

No cell phone, No high speed internet? Perfect!! Our family really enjoyed our time away from it all.... The cabin is not isolated or rustic by any means but located in a very nice gated community of chalets and vacation properties. It's quiet and there are plenty of trees for privacy. The property was very clean and well maintained and has a BIG kitchen well stocked with pots, pans etc. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin. Most vacations we've been on you are crowded in a small hotel room and have no choice but to eat all your meals in restaurants - this was a really nice change and kept the family engaged. A large table in the dinning area seats 8 and there are very comfortable couches in the living room for watching the satellite TV or watching the DVDs. The Hot Tub was the high point of the day after some tough hiking on nearby Mount Baker. The North Cascade area is one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. (when the weather cooperates!) Restaurants and a small grocery just a couple minutes away (Chair 9 Pizza right up the road has free wifi as well as great pizza if you can't live without either). Don't expect putt putt, go-carts or other tourist trash for kids with short attention spans, but if your looking for stunning mountain vistas, old growth forests draped in moss and crystal clear alpine lakes, this is the place for you! We will definitely return to the Bakerlodge.

The whole experience my group had in this house was a disaster. The house had no heat when we arrived. It took almost the entire night to heat up the main house area so most of us were wearing our coats and hats while eating dinner. The loft room's heat did not work at all, forcing members of the party to sleep on couches and the floor. The hot tub was broken the entire weekend, and the owner knew there were issues prior to our arrival but failed to disclose them. Although a electrician was brought out to the property on Saturday and guarenteed that the hot tub would be up and running, it was no warmer than the day we arrived. A ski cabin without a hot tub is useless in my book. Because the loft area which had several beds in it still did not have functioning heat on Saturday, a space heater was brought in my property management. This ended up heating up the loft but also nearly started a fire. The plug and outlet were smoldering and had to be immediately unplugged. The kitchen is functionable but I would by no means identify it as gourmet. When it takes 30 minutes to cut an onion because the blade is so dull that is not a gourmet kitchen. If you plan on cooking, I would highly recommend bringing your own equipment. Based on the multiple failings of this house, we were given a discount on our stay which helped rectify the situation to some extent., and the owner and property manager were pleasant to deal with as well. All in all, however, we would have preferred to just have paid the full amount and have a heated house, a functioning hot tub, and a gourmet kitchen. Our expectations were definitely not met and we will not be returning.

Owner response: The area lost power 2x that week. Yes, our mountain home and the Tub were cold upon their arrival. We spoke directly with guests, our local manager personally visited the home twice, and even went so far as to build a fire FOR them. Sent a contractor out to check the Tub and verify systems were in proper working order. We did everything to make them comfortable and satisfy their demands. They were given a refund as the (not broken) 600 gallon Hot Tub did not have time to reach above warm during their 2 night stay. We've hosted many families over the years with nothing but praise for our comfortable Cabin.

I am the organizer of a group of families who have gone on a weekend ski trip to Sun Peakes the past 2 years and decided this year to move it closer to home. We spent the last weekend of November at Bakerlodge and had an amazing time. The weather didn't cooperate as the ski hill was closed but we fully enjoyed the amenities at the lodge and at the nearby pub. We will definitely look to come back another time.

We stayed here over the a long weekend in Summer. The lodge is very good with 3 good sized bedrooms with one of the rooms being larger with multiple beds. We were 8 people and were very comfortable. There is a nice sized deck and also a hot tub (though the hot tub was closed in when we went). The lodge also has a large selection of movies on tape and few DVDs and also some books. There is also a good pool table in the basement which was a lot of fun. Also the place is very close to the Mt Baker Ski area and also a lot of nice trails in summer. One drawback we found was it was a bit cold on the lower floor with and the living space. Though bedrooms were pretty warm. May be with the fireplace turned on it would not be an issue.

My family and I have stayed at this home once in the winter and once in the summer. The location is perfect being one of the closest communities to the ski area at Mt Baker plus having several options for biking and hiking in the summer. The house itself is really spacious and can actually comfortably accommodate more than 12 people. The interior is clean with modern amenities such as the large TV and hot tub. It also has all the cooking necessities plus BBQ that you will need.

What a week! We played pickleball and hoops almost everyday and hit the pool. Thank you so much for letting us stay. We've thoughly enjoyed the home. Lots of swimming, bike riding, BBQing, playing in the park, and walks in the woods. It was the perfect location for a summer retreat for our family. We had fabulous weather, lots of grate food and conversation, and loads of fun. Your beds are amazingly comfortable - if we weren't so anxious to get outside and enjoy the spectacular scenery we would have lounged in bed all day!! Since past guest have noted their comments we'll continue the tradition and say that the hot tub is HOT HOT HOT in closing. Thanks for letting us use your lovely retreat in Mt Baker. My family loves to go to the Baker Lodge. Great place to get the family together. Cozy fireplace to cozy up and read a good book. Large kitchen, can have a couple of people whipping up yummy comfort food, and not tripping over each other. Plenty of activities for adults and kids, snow, rain or shine. In the winter it is a short drive to the slopes, and in the summer great to just get out and explore. We have had the pleasure of staying here during both seasons, and always hate to leave. When friends ask about close getaways, we always suggest checking out Baker Lodge. Go and have fun, we do.

It had been years since the last time we planned a ski weekend to Mt. Baker and our families stay at the baker lodge was fantastic. The lodge has an open central layout with the kitchen, dining room, and living room all connected which made for a great place to fire up a nice meal and hang out after a day on the mountain. We brought our five month old and having the bedrooms branching out from the central living area, we were able to put him down upstairs and still have the abilty to kick back in the evenings without waking the baby (we did bring a baby monitor). The hot tub was also an inviting and being on the back of the lodge was a private place to relax after a day on the mountain.

We loved spending the weekend at the Baker lodge! Perfect location for our trip to Mt. Baker and a nice place to relax and unwind after a great day of snowboarding! The house was clean and very spacious with plenty of room for all of us and our gear. The hot tub was very clean. House was well furnished and comfortable. This cabin/home was in a great location for us. We were able to enjoy all the things we wanted to and stay in a nice clean house. When we arrived the house was very clean and well kept up. I would recommend staying here and plan for me and my wife to do so again.

This cabin was sick! I looooove how big it is and all the cool spaces. Its such a short drive up to the slopes for an awesome time. Although it didn't snow while we were here (but thats hard to plan on) it was still very nice up there. At first the hot tub was actually a little too hot but we just opened the lid for a while and cooled it down. We really enjoyed ti up there. Thank you!

Caras 30th birthday - Thank you for the beautiful cabin. It was the perfect place to celebrate the birthday of our friend. The backyard is amazing, we made afire in the firepit and went in the hot tub about 3 times a day. We had planned on taking advantage of the game table but barely left the kitchen!! Love the space to congregate around the island and cook and snack and visit. We'll be back!

We've stayed at the Baker Lodge a couple times over New Years and would highly recommend this space for any type of group: those looking to hit the slopes, comfort-seekers wanting to cozy up next to a fire, families with children of all ages or old friends reconnecting. The kitchen is spacious and has almost everything you'd need-- though bring essentials like cooking oil, s&p and coffee! The games, movies and musical options are in abundance, and the hot tub is fantastic after a long day on the mountain (or, I'd gather, hiking the trails in the summer!) Plus, the owner has always been a breeze to do business with. We will be back!
