This was our first time at Kure Beach, NC. We did a Saturday to Saturday rental over the Labor Day Weekend. We could not have been more pleased with The Turtle's Nest. It was exactly as advertised and pictured, ocean-front, convenient, well appointed. The beach was lovely, and not crowded even on the holiday weekend. The owner might consider a blu-ray/dvd player for the Master Bedroom, But other than that we had no complaints about the unit. The only disappointment we had was the lack of "fine dining" anywhere convenient. Havana's was the closest to really good and inovative dining, Jack Mackrel's was great one night and mediocre on a return trip. We had 2 umbrellas delivered each morning, which was great, and we had sheets and towels delivered to the unit rather than bringing our own. Everything worked out very well. We are considering reserving the unit again for next year, before someone else books it.

Stayed for 4 days this may. Great Location. Wonderful view from the deck. Condo had everything you would want for a nice stay in Kure. Weather was amazing. Saw 6 dolphins from the deck one morning. Would recommend this condo to anyone who wants a very nice place to stay. Would like to come back to this place every year. Nothing bad to say about anything with this condo. Would give it 5 stars. If you want a wonderful place to stay this is it.

We stayed at Turtle's Nest for a lovely long week-end in April to celebrate my brother's 70th birthday with his wife and my sister. We found the condo to be just as described, very attractively decorated, comfortable, and clean. Everything has been recently updated except for the kitchen cupboards. The location was beautiful and offered beautiful views of the ocean from both the master bedroom and living room as well as the outside deck. The beach was super accessible, with beautiful sand to walk on and lots of shells to collect. I even found a prized shark's tooth nearby! It's obvious the owner has taken special care of this condo and made it comfortable and stylish for everyone to enjoy. The condo is managed by a local rental agency. They were okay to deal with but not as friendly as the owner. Be sure to read all the details and expectations of the contract and understand when all the payments are due. We elected to bring our own sheets and towels and waive the insurance. There is an army base nearby and they practice helicopter maneuvers so you will get to see some action during the day. Otherwise the area was quiet and fairly secluded. We were on the go a lot so I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the condo and beach more. There is much to see and do and many restaurants in the Wilmington area. Our favorite restaurant was Jerry's Place - great service and food. We went to the Food Lion for groceries. Took the ferry boat out to Southport for some great views of the Cape Fear area and visited the pier at Kure Beach for some fish and pelican action. The roads are rather confusing so get a good map of the area. We had a great experience renting at Turtle's nest and I would definitely recommend it and rent again.
