Why the Owner Chose Sedona
We wanted a vacation home in a world class area that was within driving distance from Phoenix. The Red Rock Escape is with-in walking distance to uptown when we can shop, eat, go to restaurants, and have as many drinks as we want and not have to worry about driving home! We also wanted a guest house so we could have the versatility of me and my wife staying in it while my relatives stayed on the big house or if a single relative or a couple want to visit we would have a place for them to stay.
We also wanted a place big enough to spread out and have some privacy and have some views. We do not realize how good the views are until we visit other homes that claim they have awesome views if you stand on the corner of their property.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The Hot tub with the views in the privacy of the back yard is a great way to wind down after a day of hiking or shopping!
The ability to be ale to do most daily things with out using a car makes life easier and more stress free. We also like having a big front porch for those that might smoke and a big Red Rock Fireplace Room for those that want to watch the fire or sports on the TV (man cave).
We like to look out the windows and have a red rock view especially in the living room and dining room and the Red Rock Fireplace Room

We have stayed at this property the last two years and have enjoyed every minute of it. The location is ideal for walking. You go one direction you go to UPtown with all its shops and restaurants and the other to several trail heads of various degrees of diffucltty. The house itself is very comfortable, with large closets, laudnry and stocked with everything you would ever need to make your stay enjoyable. We enjoy the double sided fireplace on chilly nights, the convenience of wireless internet, and the hot tub is very nice. We have had people in the quest house while we have been in the main house, and it has never posed a problem. We really enjoy the southwest decor of the house from the stuffed chicken to the kachinas. The fenced in back yard is great for our dog. We did not have to worry when we let her out at night that she would take off. We highly recommend this house.

House is in a great location and was very comfy. We were four adults, two children. Loved the central location and the wonderful hot tub. Would stay here again!

I recently stayed at this location for a week's time. The house itself was comfortable in a dated 1970's style. It was nothing special but it was fine. The location was convenient for walking to uptown Sedona. There was nobody staying at the guest house during our stay but it would have been awkward if there had been, as it seemed like certain rooms were to be shared by the master house and the guest house and there would have been little privacy from other renters. The listing specifically states that it has wireless internet and that dogs are allowed. I received confirmation via email from the owner that it would be no problem to bring our two dogs. The owner called us the day before our rental period and asked if it would be alright for them to install wireless internet on our 3rd rental day. Surprised, I said yes, of course. When that day arrived, the owner was very abrasive and accused me of not telling him about our dogs and later about lying about our dogs' size (neither accusation was true). When we returned to the house it turned out that there was still not wireless internet but rather a cable modem that we had to hook up to by the TV. If we wanted to use our laptop (which we had planned for booking tickets and checking out different activities) we had to sit on the floor, in front of the TV, with our laptop plugged into the cable modem. The owner's suggestion was to try to use the neighbor's wireless (which didn't work for us, by the way). We sent two separate checks for the rental and the owner had to be reminded of the check # and date he had cashed it, so he does not seem extremely organized. I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative.

We just got back from staying the weekend in this beautiful home. The views were priceless, the house was VERY homey. We loved it. It was also in a perfect location, we walked downtown. The kids loved the red rock room, where there were games that they played and watched movies. Thank you again for sharing your home with us
