  We are from Quebec,Canada and try to spend as much time as we can away from the cold. San Diego is perfect,especially La Jolla,what a great place. The apartment has perfect location,just like the previous reviewer is mentioned,saving money on gas is a big issue,especially with California gas prices. When you can walk to the store or anywhere you need. When we came,it was so clean and smelled so good. It is really comfortable,the furniture,the bed is great,we did not expect it to be so lovely,the pictures do not do it justice. You could see that the owners thought of everything,all we need and more the apartment has. We cook a lot,so it was important. She even has business cards of the restaurants she likes and hair and manicure. The best Mexican was in Chula Vista,La Querencia. .Great food. Also loved Westfield Mall,so many great restaurants and shops.l Thank you,Helena.

  We were visiting our daughter and our precious grandchildren in San Diego.Of course,every visit is a special joy,but this time it was even better since we lived five minutes to their place! We know San Diego pretty well,so the location was very important for us and it is incredibly convenient. We love to walk and Pavlov street is perfect for this or Agee street with Canyin views. The apartment is very very clean, roomy,smells nice, and so surprisingly quiet. Plenty of stores in the plaza,but if you want more,about 5-10 minutes driving ,there's a very good inexpensive fuit and vegetable store Henry's,Tuesday Morning,TJMaxx, Burlington and so many others. A big shopping mall is another 5 minutes away. My husband even used the barber in the plaza and was pleased with the haircut. Sleep is very important for me and I was a bit nervous about the bed,but it was very comfortable . Helena,the owner,is very easy going,she gave us the number of the cleaning person,and that was nice too. I wish I could be back on this balcony where we spent so many wonderful evenings. I really recommend this place to anybody who likes quiet and convenience.

  My wife and I stayed in the apartment for the entire month of March and found it to be clean, comfortable and a great location. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and the location was right behind a shopping area that had many things we needed (Grocery store, bank, library, good restaurants). We were within 20-30 minutes of most major attractions with easy freeway access.Helena responded quickly to all of our questions and was great to rent from. We would highly recommend this rental to all.

  We were staying for a month in Casa Moderne while visiting our daughter in San Diego. I have the warmest memories of the place. It is so nice and quiet,it is such a rarity for the apartment building The apartment is so clean and bright and Helena has fantastic taste.. The bed was extremely comfortable,and it was very important for both of us. We had breakfast in the balcony every morning,it was wonderful! We used public transportation,the bus stops right there around the corner and we got monthly card in the Vons supermarket. Our favorite place was La Jolla Shores with sea lions,gorgeous shore line,caves. Restaurants are plenty,but I mostly cooked since we are on a special diet. Helena,the owner,provided us with all possible kinds of kitchen cookware and dishes. She was also very helpful with advice on sightseeing and transportation. We will definitely come back here again!

  My husband and I stayed in this wonderful condo for a month in November, December. We are from Montreal, Canada, so it was wonderful to spend some time in sunny California. The whole town was decorated for Christmas in a special way, and the shopping and dining were amazing! We loved staying in Casa Moderna, it was so close to everything, we walked a lot and the amenities were perfect for our visit. The condo is extremely clean and comfortable and fully stocked up with everything you need. The owner is very attentive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

  We had a wonderful stay in Casa Moderne. This was the first time that we stayed in an apartment,not hotel. The location is perfect, just minutes from the beach, and really accessible to San Diego's many destination. We were able to enjoy many memorable moments during our stay. The apartment was clean and roomy,lots of towels and linen,all kind of dishes and stuff. Not having to drive anywhere for our groceries, was an added bonus. My advice:it's gets really cool evenings and mornings,so bring along some sweaters. The owners were so nice and friendly,they helped with all our questions. I don't recommend to go to the Zoo,we liked Wild Animal kingdom so much better,my 7 year old could've be happier for the train ride. Overall,we will definitely come back,this so much better than the hotel.

  I was staying in the apartment with my fifteen-year old daughter for two weeks in July. All I can say,it was great! It is beautiful,so clean,and the balcony is a treat. I was just sitting there all the time,even with my computer. The air is so fresh,and the weather is great in San Diego. We met nice people at the pool and even my daughter made some friends. We both liked sushi place there,somebody told us that people out of town come for this restaurant. The owner Helena,was so helpful and friendly We visited Del Mar Fair and watched fireworks under her advice. I wish I could stay there longer.

  My wife and I were staying in the apartment for two weeks before the cruise to Hawaii, and we loved it! It is beautiful, very cozy, and convenient too. My wife even took pictures to use some ideas for our own place. Everything is walking distance, no need to drive and you can save on gas. Of three restaurants we liked “Lorna”, the Italian place. There’s also a library next door where you can get magazines and movies. We visited Wild Animal Park, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter, and Gabrillo monument. Never drove more than twenty minutes. Altogether, it was great experience, and I highly recommend this place to everybody.
