We had the most wonderful beach getaway here - everything was truly amazing - the home really is right on the beach! Beautiful views from the whole house and especially wonderful was the feeling of being on the beach even when we were in the house! The home is spotless and comfortable with walls of windows looking out to the water. The kitchen is very well equipped which we appreciated as there didn't seem to be much of a selection of restaurants in the little town...we didn't mind because the house had the best view in town anyway... (Great Tillamook ice cream in town!!!). Gorgeous beach - hardly anyone on it and you can walk for miles. Beautiful place - we will absolutely be coming back!

We loved staying in this home. We were constantly astounded at all the amenities the owners have provided. The location was perfect: we opened the back door and stepped right onto the beach. Traditionally we stay in a hotel at the each beach, but this home experience made us happy that we tried something different. Next time we travel to the northern part of our lovely state--we will definitely want to stay in this home. Thank you.

The townhouse's location is amazing, walk off the patio into the sand. A few steps through a sand dune and your on a beautiful sandy beach. It is so close, that our baby monitor worked perfectly from the house to the beach. The beach goes miles in either direction with Twin Rocks off to the south and mountains in the distance. Great for walking barefoot, building sand castles, and building fire pits for smores. The house is spacious, updated, clean, and bright. We made all our meals in the kitchen (really well equipped) which had a beautiful view of the water. The house is set up for families with lots of toys, books, games, videos, and beach gear on hand. The laundry room was great-- we left with suitcases of clean clothes! The unit has outdoor parking and a garage partially converted into a playroom. We put my husband's kayak in there at night. Perfect fit. We can't wait to come back!

Surf's Edge was everything you would hope a beach house would be. Extremely clean and smoke free which is very important to us. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary equipment you would need to make great meals. The house was beautifully furnished, making a comfy and cozy atmosphere. The view was fabulous, such easy access to the beach. The owners of Surf's Edge clearly thought of everything to make this a fantastic getaway. Surf's is truly a home away from home. We hope to come back soon.

Our arrival was later than we had hoped but on a cold rainy night we were greeted with warmth inside. I quickly rushed over to take a look through the blinds on the ocean side and was taken back - it was amazing. Though dark - the sea was rough and wild with beautiful white tipped rollng waves and the beached stretched farther than the eye could see. We so much enjoyed our stay even though the weather somewhat unpredictable. It was fun to sit at the dining table play games and look out over the ocean. The home was comfortable, quiet (which was amazing since it is bumped up against another townhouse) and when inside looking out I felt like we were the only people there. The kitchen was nice- with needed utensils and the beds comfortable. We hope to return in the future and possibly take our grown up family with us... (or not!) :0) Missed out on DragonFly Coffee Shop and Scones - they looked out of business - perhaps just shut for winter..... Thank you to Therese and her family for a lovely and much needed respite.

My sister, husband and I stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful townhome. It is right on the beach and was close enough to Seaside and Cannon Beach if you wanted more shopping. We went to Tillamook also. The townhome was in terrific shape and was extremely clean. We had some great neighbors that brought us fresh crab (they were from Idaho) and we didn't hear anything from the other 2 townhomes. It is extremely quiet and just a wonderful place to vacation. Went to the Cow Belle restaurant for breakfast and ate tons of clam chowder from the fast food place on the main street of town. The place is comfy cozy and has everything you would need. Loved the fact that the beach wasn't crowded at all at the beginning of Sept. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing this jewel with us.

My mother-in-law said it perfectly: When you walk in and look out at the beach the stress just melts off! We had a great stay at Surf's Edge! The home is very clean and very well appointed and the views are amazing! We loved being right on the beach. Our kids got up early each morning and ran straight out the back door to start searching for sea shells. We rode our bikes through town and loved that we were close enough for short adventures to Cannon Beach and Tillamook. Therese was wonderful to work with. What a great vacation!

We stayed at the Surf's edge a few weeks ago and we can't wait to return next year! The home is beautiful with all the amentities you would need. We felt right at home! The view is breath taking. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and watching the sunset from the patio. The home is beautifully furnished and the beds are very comfortable. If you're looking for a place to stay on the Oregon Coast line the Surf's Edge is the perfect choice!

This townhouse is perfect! A very short walk down a sandy path right to the beach, ocean views from the first floor, and master suite upstairs. Perfect for families, with 2 masters, bunk beds in both, and bathrooms for each room. The kitchen is well stocked, beach towels are provided, plenty of linens/towels, and a w/d in the unit is perfect for traveling with kids! The decor is very nice, the home is very clean, and the owners are great to work with! We will definitely be going back. The main street is a block away, with the coffee shop practically out the front door. We loved the quaintness of this little town, not touristy, but with everything we needed.

You had us at "hello"! From the minute we walked in the front door and saw all the space and Cape Cod Style decor and then walked out the back door to the patio and looked over the pristine beach, we were smitten! I literally said to my husband "Do you feel like we're on the set of a movie? Because I do!". Of course, it probably helped that the sun was shining just about the whole time we were there. Totally clean (and I'm a clean freak), kitchen had everything you need. Loved the toys, movies and games for the kids. I even got to read a few novels from the library. It was just our family (with 3 kids) but I wished we had invited another family along, there was plenty of room for 2 families. The bedrooms are huge. We put the baby in a playpen in the walk-in closet to sleep. Owner was helpful and promptly answered my questions. Favorite things: blissful berry scones from Dragon Fly Coffee Shop (across the lane, purple house), Mexican restaurant across the street, thrift store finds (found a vintage silk Lanvin shirt at the Hope Thrift store down the road), and reusable shopping bags with cool design from Flamingo Jim's (make great souveneir gifts at $1.50 each). I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will probably be returning next summer with another family. Did a daytrip to Seaside (too touristy but entertaining nonetheless) and a tour of the Tilamook Cheese Factory (OK,kids liked it, their ice cream is amazing).

My wife & I had a great experience at Surf's Edge. The accomodation was very bit as good (perhaps even better) than what was stated on the VRBO website. Clean, well maintained, comfortable, right on the edge of the ocean, fully stocked with everything a person could need during a stay, pleasant/easy owner to deal with. Would highly recommend this place to anyone! Rockaway Beach is a small quiet seaside town that had all the basic necessities we needed. If you're looking for hustle & bustle, high end shops & restaurants then this might not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a quiet, laid back, beautiful place to unwind, relax & soak in incredible views then this is the place for you!

Our family had never been to Oregon before, so relied completely on the listing information. When we arrived we were thrilled to see it was exactly as promised and more. The property was just like the pictures and very clean, with all the amenities we could ever need. And there were a lot of games, movies, and kids toys to keep them occupied. But best of all was the location right on the oceanfront and easy access to the beach - just a few steps down the property bluff and you're there! We went for many walks (the beach never ended!) and kids could come and go as they pleased. And my husband and I spent every evening on the back deck, with a glass of wine, watching the ocean and amazing sunsets. For the most part we ate at the condo as it was so nice to stay 'home', but we did walk across the street behind the property to a restaurant and had a good supper, with ice cream from the candy store for dessert. We also went on short driving trips to other nearby towns - Seaside, Cannon Beach, Tillamook, and the '3 Capes'. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property to friends/family who want a quiet, relaxing and fun beach/ocean getaway.

We stayed at Surf's Edge with our 5 kids in July and consider it our best vacation of the summer. This is our dream beach house; beautifully decorated, fully equipped and ultra clean! The owner was really friendly and so easy to work with. You can't beat the location; right on the beach AND right in town! I woke up a few times during the night just to look at the beauty of the ocean! When we drove through Rockaway while staying with cousins this past weekend, we looked for Surf's Edge and fondly remembered our stay. We will definitely be returning soon!

My family of 5 stayed at Surf's Edge in early July 2011. Great spot with panoramic view of the ocean and surf. The property is spacious, clean and well appointed. It's best feature is the proximity to the ocean. The back patio empties onto Rockaway Beach. Beach was not too busy either. The town of Rockaway Beach, to me, did not have the diversity of dining or shopping of Seaside or other communities in the area so if you want touristy shopping or high end dining, there are other towns better suited to those. There is a grocery store about a block away and several smaller restaurants within blocks of the property so plenty of food options. We enjoyed watching the dawn/dusk surf from the master bedroom windows and the kids had a great time on the beach and in the ocean. This was our family's favorite place of the spots that we stayed at while on vacation.

from the moment we walked in we were immediately relaxed by the spacious ocean view and 'Twin Rocks'. I don't think I wore shoes the whole time I was there because the soft sand was right there off the patio leading me down to the beach. When we needed additional groceries we just walked a couple blocks to the local market and were set for the evening BBQ and s'mores on the beach later that evening around the beach fire. My wife and daughter wont stop talking about the trip. I would like to go back when the Salmon are in Tillamook Bay or the Nehalem because they are only 10 minutes away. I hear there is good crabbing in the bays there too and you can fish off the Tillamook Bay jetty if you don't own or rent a boat. This place covers all that my family needs and I especially liked that there were not the crowds you find at Cannon Beach and Seaside. The guy who referred me to the place told me he came during winter once and and didn't go on the beach at all but loved every minute of it but I have to get out the even if the wind is blowing. I'm going back for Salmon and plan on grilling one up on the BBQ. This house exceeded my expectations on all fronts and the pics provided helped us choose this rental but they still did not do it justice. lastly, if you can't catch you dinner you can buy fresh fish a couple blocks away at a seafood shop and don't forget to get your kids an ice cream next door. I will be definitely recommending this place to family and friends.

I absolutely love staying at Surf's Edge! The location is perfect, being right on the beach and just a block from the middle of town. You can walk everywhere, whether you want to play in the surf, do a little shopping or have some great food. There's also a coffee shop right across the street! And if you like to bring your own food, the kitchen inside is perfect for that too! Inside is very comfortable, whether you're looking for a weekend away for two or with your whole family. Just what you need for a relaxing beach getaway! I will definitely be staying there again!
