Brand New 2 Bedroom Home with Private Pool, 1 Block to the Beach!

  My husband and two girls stayed here over Christmas, the pool was awesome, and we were so close to the beach, everything was very close either on bikes or the trolley, the car rarely left the yard. Very well equipped. Cooked our Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings without difficulty. My only suggestion is it would be nice to have a list of what goes in recycling, every area is different, and we wanted to make sure we put everything we could in there. Loved this house and will very likely return.. Absolutely adored AMI...such a lovely place to visit. Renting bikes was a must for us.

  We have never stayed on Holmes Beach before. This is cute cottage, nicely done. It is a short walk to the beach, has a screened porch on the front and comfortable beds. (Comfortable beds,such a nice change from other rentals.) A very enjoyable place to stay and so close to the beach. Eating places are also within walking distance. Oh, the best of all, great sunsets....

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners.

  We stayed at Ellie's cottage week of Oct.14th, 2011. I was so pleased when we drove up! The walk way was inviting with hanging palms. Has a great screen porch in front with chairs and table, back patio, outdoor shower. Inside....Well it was ADORABLE! Felt like the beach was right in front of the cottage. Pictures don't capture its essence and quaint decore. All updated floors, kitchen with everything you need. VERY comfortable master bed with good linens (a must). Best of all it was just steps to the beach Ellie supplies many beach item's and we spent many hours on the beach, but had our coffee each AM sitting in the screen porch reading the paper. We will rent again and recommend Sea Horse Crossing to our friends and family. Ellie was so accommadating during our booking and stay. I will be renting again with Ellie through Costal Cottages AMI with six of my girlfriends coming in May. She is great and wants all to have a great time, Thanks Ellie and the Scotch is on me!   From the moment we entered this bungalow we were charmed. This 1940s cottage has been completely renovated in the most tasteful decor with all of the comforts of home. All clean, shiny and brand new it was more than we expected. Ellie was so delightful to work with and I would highly recommend the property except I wish we could keep it our little secret. It is convenient to everything! The screened porch is delightful and just a short stroll to the most beautiful beach where dolphins swim by daily. We have already booked it again. Thanks Ellie!

  Owner response: All visitors do love the porch where you can "people watch" and enjoy the breezes!! We do have to pay the Dolphins a lot to make sure they come by every day but I guess it is worth it!!

  My husband and I spent some time in May 2011, in this adorable beach cottage. Let me first say that the beautiful white sands of the Gulf Beaches are truly right outside your door!! No busy roads to cross or crowds of people to walk over and through…just the sounds of the surf enticing you to join or gently lulling you to sleep at night. How much better could that be???!! The cottage itself is very clean and nicely decorated in some typical and some very unusual “beachy” items. Looking around the house, during our stay, I imagined that the owner is a seasoned traveler, collecting many items from far off places…this made for some wonderful day dreams and also made the home feel like a “home” not just a rental cottage. All new, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, Wi-Fi, very comfy beds and furniture… all the creature comforts of home!! We brought our 17 year old “puppy” with us and he felt right at home, as well! This is truly a special little cottage on a special little Island. We have already reserved for next year and are thinking of maybe going back for the 2011 Holiday Season!!! Many thanks to the Hosts for their hospitality and kindness!!   My husband, daughter, and I rented this property for a long weekend in July 2011. We enjoyed ourselved immensely and found it hard to leave the fantasy and return to the reality. The property is very well maintained and delightfully decorated in beachcomber decor. I appreciated the new kitchen appliances and all the utilities available to us. The outdoor shower got quite a workout as did the jacuzzi tub indoors. Shopping and eating were within easy walking distance. And the BEACH!! Just a short stroll away. We learned that early morning and sunset were the magic hours to be there. We met wonderful folks that were enjoying the gulf as much as we were. We will definitely try to rent from this owner again. She was so accommodating and any questions were answered immediately. Wonderful wonderful time!!

  We sure loved renting this beautiful cottage. It is decorated beautifully and has everything that one would need to enjoy such a fun and relaxing week. We enjoyed our morning walks on the beach and the sunsets are just breath-taking. Great location for shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this rental. Can't wait to go back again.

  My husband and I happened upon this lovely and absolutely beautiful cottage for a much needed time away. We couldn't have chosen a more relaxing, convenient and super-clean rental. The decorating both inside and out could have been from an edition of Better Homes magazine! The care and time taken by the owners in presenting this home and to make guests feel comfortable and special was so apparent, and what a sparkling clean place! From the time we woke up each morning and took walks on the beach until our heads hit the (plush!) pillows--our surroundings were comforting, inviting and perfect. We had a great visit to Mote (?) Marine closeby. While we found the supermarket prices VERY pricey, the convenience (almost) made it ok--and we did take the trolly a few times. We are definitely returning--what a great cottage and my hubby and I both agree THE BEST rental we've had in years--KUDOS to our hosts!

  My husband and I stayed at this property from April 2nd to April 6th, 2011 and had a wonderful time! We are looking forward to booking again for next year. The cottage is immaculate and very cozy and comfortable. The pictures are exactly what you see in person. The owners took much pride in fixing it up. We had NO complaints at all. The location couldn't get much closer to the beach and the beach is absolutely beautiful! Almost anything you need is within walking distance. Many great restaurants as well, including The Bridge Tender and Sunset Grill (not sure this is the exact name, but it is located on the second level with great food and a gorgeous sunset view). The surrounding area is great for walkers and joggers. You can't go wrong with this place.....honest! Can't wait to go back!

  This cottage is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN and ADORABLE!! Walk to everything and if you don't want to walk take the free trolley!! It is a quiet location on a dead end street that stops at the Beach and you are only a few steps away. Plenty of parking, Outdoor hot and cold shower to rinse off after the beach and a screened in porch to sit on. Very well maintained and the owner can be reached very easily by cell phone and has everything labeled in the cottage. I would hightly recommend this cottage! AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!
