Comfortably sleeping 9, our completely renovated oceanfront bungalow is a cheery, pleasant, spacious place to enjoy the beautiful family-friendly sands of Ponte Vedra Beach up close. From the wide deck, a wooden boardwalk leads right down to the beach, over dunes of palm, yucca, and other native plants. Birds, rabbits, and even turtles inhabit these dunes, so if you should wake up early one morning to catch the sunrise (an unforgettable sight at Turtle Dunes!), you’ll probably spy wildlife. And of course, stately lines of pelicans glide overhead all day, en route to the surf and some dive-bombing fishing!
The deck offers plenty of space for lounging, sitting, playing, and even dining. Our barbecue grill is at your disposal and our chaise lounges are highly addictive! No matter the time of day, the deck usually gets a mix of sun and shade, so you can find just the right exposure.
When it’s time to step inside, enter a sun-washed space with handsome diagonal wood paneling, high windows, and sloping ceilings. Turtle Dunes combines the coziness of a traditional beach bungalow with the lighter, airier ambiance of a contemporary house. The result is a place the whole group will feel at home in right away!
The living area at Turtle Dunes invites you to flop down and enjoy some downtime after a busy day at the beach, on the links, or at the historic sites of St. Augustine. Stretch out on our sectional sofa, turn on the HDTV, and suddenly a problem arises: will you be able to keep your eyes open?! Oh, wait, it doesn’t matter – you’re on vacation! Or, if you’re determined to stay alert, cozy up in one of the chairs overlooking the ocean, binoculars in your lap. You just might see a school of dolphins passing by, not to mention exotic birds at all times of day!
When it’s time for a snack, wander into the kitchen and dining area of the house. Filled with sunlight spilling in from a wall of windows, this area is a cheerful place any time of day. The cupboards are filled with cookware, dishes, and utensils, the appliances are sparkling, and there are plenty of time-savers you’ll appreciate when you’re trying to get the gang out the door in the morning: a microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and most importantly, a dishwasher!
Sit at the table and enjoy your snack while updating your Facebook status (you have free WiFi at Turtle Dunes, and should you need to bring your laptop, rest assured that the signal is great even out on the deck!), or break out the cards for a quick 500 Rummy tournament. You can even use this table to lay out a jigsaw puzzle – you know you’re going to be dining al fresco on the deck anyway!
The living and dining areas at Turtle Dunes are peaceful and relaxed, but the bedrooms are positively serene. Each bed is guaranteed to deliver a great night’s sleep, and everyone will feel at home immediately in our bedrooms. We provide all the fresh linen you need, plus towel sets for the bathrooms and a washer and dryer to keep your linens and clothes clean. There’s even an enclosed outdoor shower!
The master suite is especially nice, with a king-sized bed and a desk, not to mention a private half-bath. There are also 2 more bedrooms on the main floor: one with a double-sized bed, the other with a set of bunkbeds and a TV – a kid’s dream come true! These rooms share a full bathroom with both a shower and tub.
Downstairs, through an exterior entrance, is an in-law suite perfect for grandparents, teenagers, or a second couple traveling with you. There’s a double bed in here, plus a full bath. Privacy is such a luxury during a group vacation – this suite is always highly prized!
Best of all, Turtle Dunes is one of just a handful of beachfront houses along this lovely strip of coastline. Come stay in paradise.

About the owner: My name is Steve Milo and I stay in Vacation Rental Homes when I travel both domestically and abroad. You're within a short car ride of historic downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in America filled with pedestrian walkways with shops, cafes and first class restaurants. We are also close to Daytona Beach and the Daytona speedway and museum. We are also only a 1 1/2 hour drive to Orlando and Disney World/Universal/Sea World as well as 1 1/2 hour to the Kennedy Space Center. Our rental is also a short car ride to Ponte Vedra Beach and PGA golf Course and TPC as well as Jacksonville with the brand new St John's Town Center (with a Costco), Avenue Mall and River Front Arcade. There is also a minor league baseball team and a professional football team and stadium.
