A beautiful Family Vacation Home in a quiet area with Internet & cable, where after a long day you can relax, enjoy one of our many board games, videos, dvd’s, or read one of the suppied books. 4 golf courses within 2 mi. area.
It is a few miles to warm beaches, walking trails and downtown, where you can shop in unique boutiques; feast at fine restaurants; enjoy a concert or picnic on the Village Green.
The downtown area has free WiFi in many areas. You can take in a local theater group play; enjoy an Amusement Center or watch a Falmouth Commodores' baseball game. Hop on a bus to discover Wood’s Hole Village or to visit Hyannis. Get up early and enjoy a full day with a Ferry ride to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket; rent bicycles & enjoy the Shining Sea Bikeway.
See the many museums, historic sites and enjoy one of the many beaches.
Transportation: It is recommended that the renter have a car. Once downtown there is a bus that will take you to Wood's Hole and to Hyannis and surrounding towns.
Dogs: We love dogs we know that you do too. However because of past experience we must charge $100/week per dog. Also we require that if left alone untended, they must be crated. We can supply a crate upon request.
Remember do not leave dog in car on warm day!
Other charges: A security charge of $350 is required. This will be returned to you minus any damages.

We stayed at this house for the week and had a lot of things in various areas of the Cape we wanted to do. We went on a whale watch in Hyannis, went to Water Wizz and went to the beach several days and this was in the middle of where we wanted to go. This was the perfect location to stay at because it isn't a busy area, so you can actually relax after a busy day. At the end of the day, we would go to downtown Falmouth and it would only take minutes! The house was perfect because we had 5 adults and 2 children and we all had plenty of space. We were looking for a place to stay during the Woods Hole Film Festival for 6 to 8 people, some going to the festival daily, some exploring nearby areas every day. From the minute I saw this listing I thought it looked great for our purposes... and it was. First off, George was very responsive and professional about the rental. No surprises (except I didn't see the cleaning fee - but it was a very fair add on & was certainly better than trying to clean up a whole house to make it ready for the next rental on our own!!). Every communication went answered in a timely manner. The house itself was perfect for our needs. Kitchen was stocked & lovely, and the washer/dryer was a great plus. The rooms were clean, there was a lovely screened in porch and backyard, and it's in a quiet residential area. Dolly & George met us at the house and were gracious about giving us the lay of the land so we had no questions. It was a nice base for us and I would highly recommend this home for families or anyone who wants a quiet neighborhood house as long as you have a car. Though, as someone mentioned, the house is just a few miles from the bike trail which ends up in Woods Hole and the ferry for Martha's Vineyard. My husband rode the trail & enjoyed it. Great price. Lovely home. Terrific owners.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The house was awesome, very well equipped and had almost everything (except lobster pot and crackers...lol). My family of 8 really enjoyed the house. George and Dolly were thoughtful and even met us in person to ensure we know where things are. The decor is simple and bedrooms are spacious. After spending the days outside, we usually come back to barbeque dinner then relax in the living room. My infant son enjoyed the layout so much that he often "explored" the first floor himself. The town is beautiful and everything (fishing, biking, beaches, restaurants, etc.) was a short drive away. In addition to the beautiful beaches, our favorite part was biking down the "Shining Star Bike Trail" to Woods Hole. What an outstanding experience! All in all, this was a great house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented George's house for a graduate school friend reunion. There were three families with four toddlers. The house is huge, clean and tastefully decorated with original arts. It is probably an old house but has been recently renovated, which is typical in new England. The fully equiped kitchen and laundry and large yard are big pluses. We brought an inflatable swimming "pool' so that kids could enjoy their splash time while we had a lot fun with the outdoor grill. The owners, George and Doll, are nice. Quick to response via email or phone when I shopped for rental. When we arrived, they had frozen pizza and ice cream waiting for us! The location is a little bit remote if you were looking for a place with walking distance to restaurants or the ocean. You will need a car to get around. It is about 15 minute drive to Old Silver Beach, 10 minutes to the beautiful town of Falmouth and 15 minutes to Woodshole. The location is great, however, if you want to drive around and visit different towns in the Cape everyday. We also enjoyed the quietness and residential feeling of the area. Above all, you really cannot beat the price!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children.
