  I was definately skeptical about how the home would be once we showed up and my group would be disappointed based on how we imagined everything from the pictures. As it turned out from the very minute we opened the door the property exceeded every single persons expectations in the group. It was much larger and nicer than we anticipated and the view was absolutely amazing. Sure there was a few minor things we came accross through the week that weren't working or perfect, but they were all so minor and insignificant in comparison to even mention. Next time we're planning a vacation to South Padre we aren't interested in even looking at what other properties are available for rent and calling the owner of this one to find out if it's available.....and if it wasn't we'd probably reschedule the dates of our vacation around when it was. Thanks for everything we had a blast!

  We had a wonderful experience staying in the Palace Home in South Padre. We love to fish and were able to daily although our neighbors tried to take the pier from us most days.That was our only complaint,There should be a sign that says private pier. The home is like a seen from " Life Styles of the rich and famous" It is absolutely beautiful. I would recomend this rental to all.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

  The house itself was very nice, but there were so many things that did not work properly that it was very disappointing. The blinds were broken, the hot tub did not work, the microwave did not work, several of the shower heads were broken, the outside deck lights didn't work, the freezer part of the refrigerator was broken and filthy! I was also disappointed in the condition of the guest towels and the pool furniture. The television was great, but we never could get on wifi. The pool ,the dock and the view were fantastic!! We loved being outside!

  I rented this property to take my grandchildren to the Island for a quick get away and I found the house nice and spacious. The only disappointment that I had was that the microwave did not work, it would come on for 9 or 10 seconds and then shut off without warming a thing. Other than that it was acceptable and I would definitely come back again. The only thing I can say is that if you plan on staying anywhere take of the place as if it were your own, it helps the owner and the next person in line to staying there.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
