My family really enjoyed the stay at the Savannah Lark. It's very comfortable, warmed and well decorated. The price is a bargain for 4 of us ( me, my wife and my parents) and we couldn' t be happier. It's about 1 mile south of River St. and short walking distance to most of the attractions in historic Savannah. The house has a nice, small courtyard with lovely smell of Jasmine and it is 100 feets away from Crawford Square. I found out that it's easier to get to the townhouse by get on Ogelthrope St. and right on Price St.( one way street). We will stay here again if we go back to Savannah.Thank you Larry.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

It was a perfect place for our trip. Everything was clean - and my husband is picky about that. It was as though we had stepped back in time. We parked the car and walked everywhere. His restaurant suggestions were spot on. The 17hundred90 was lovely. We felt very much at home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Savannah Lark. It was within walking distance of River Street and many of the beautiful squares Savannah is famous for. The property was as described on the VRBO site. It is not luxurious, but it is very comfortable and a great value considering the location. It was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking and there were plenty of extra linens. The courtyard area was a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The owner provided all the info that we needed as well as some great recommendations for places to eat and shop. The only cons would be that parking can be difficult, but if you've been to Savannah before, this will not come as a surprise. Secondly, the traffic noise can be bothersome, especially at night--atleast if you are not used to that sort of thing. However, neither of these things would keep us from staying here again. This was our first time using VRBO and the experience was hassle-free from booking to payment to actually staying at the property--which is what you want when you vacation--no hassle, no stress! We are looking forward to our next trip to Savannah.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed in this townhouse for our son's wedding weekend. There were three of us and we had plenty of space to spread out and were very comfortable. The only issue we had was with parking when we first arrived on Wednesday evening. There were no spots to be had around the townhouse and we had to park one street over. But this was minor compared to the great location of the home. We were close to some great eateries as well as most of the wedding venues. The kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of the washer and dryer. We would love to visit Savannah again some day!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place is everything it claims to be. We stayed here for 4 nights in September. It's a close walk to everything. It's in a very safe neighborhood (just a little noisy from the street on occasion). The home is very well maintained and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and all the linens are nice. You can't go wrong if you decide to stay here. The owner is wonderful to deal with. I would love to return here someday, and I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were a family of 4 staying two nights in Savannah. The house was very comfortable and very nicely furnished. It was also within walking distance of all that we wanted to see in the historic district. Larry was very easy to deal with and our deposit was returned promptly. We would definitely recommend this house to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers

We recently stayed at this wonderful home. It is very comfortable and just a few short blocks away from the action. The stairs were a little tight but other than that we had no problems or issues. If you want to stay somewhere with charm and not just a hotel room then stay here! We had enough room for everyone to spread out and not feel like we were cramped. If you stay here it is just a short walk to J. Christopher's the absolute best breakfast in Savannah (so good we ate here twice). If you have young children with you this is a very good place to stay as a pack-n-play and baby gates are provided.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We went to Savannah for my sister's graduation from SCAD and wanted to stay together and this townhouse worked out great! We had room for the whole family and the comforts of having a home instead of just a hotel room. The pictures are accurate as is the listing description and the property is clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and answered my email in a timely manner. There is off-street parking and it is an easy walk to many of Savannah's attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this town-home. We had a great time.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The place was dusty and had an odor upon arrival. The dryer was full of sheets and towels that were not dry and had a smell.Owner response: Sorry you had disappointment upon arrival with some unfinished cleaning issues. The previous tenants had not left until the morning of your arrival and there was a limited time window for the cleaner. Usually she does an outstanding job and I have received compliments on her in the past.

My daughter & I stayed in this house for a long girl’s weekend. The location was perfect for walking in the Historic District, and just a few blocks from a stop for the (free) CAT shuttle that is great for when your feet get tired. The owner recommended some restaurants and other places nearby that we happily checked out. Parking can be hard to find in Savannah, at this location it is readily available right next to the building. I’ve visited Savannah many times, and hope to be able to stay in this house again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We visited Savannah for a long weekend with our 18 year old son and had a wonderful time! This property was exactly what we expected. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. This was the perfect house for our family. We had two small children and no car. We were able to walk anywhere we needed to, and the house was perfect for us when we got back. Everything is in great shape, and clean. A must is Parker's market a few blocks away. We will definitely be returning to savannah and staying here!Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

If in the area again, we would most definitely choose this place again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family wanted to explore Savannah during the holidays. This was a great place to stay! The house was comfortable and perfectly situated in the historic district. We walked all over town. The photos accurately reflect the well-maintained property and the owner was exceedingly helpful as I made our arrangements. We enjoyed sitting out in the little private courtyard after a day's activitities. The living area was homelike and having two single beds in one bedroom fitted our family's needs perfectly. An added bonus for us was periodically hearing the clip clop of horse drawn tourist carriages outside our window and envisioning long ago times. I'd highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The townhouse is in a great part of the historic district, an easy walk to anything. We had the good fortune of meeting the owner Larry, and really enjoyed talking with him, and he even gave us a tour of the house. Everything was clean, comfortable, and made for an easy stay. The kitchen is small but very well stocked with new pots and pans and great cutlery. The courtyard was a great bonus and provided easy access and a place to store our bicycles securely. Highly recommend this townhouse to anyone looking to stay a long weekend (or any duration really) in Savannah. Great owner, well restored property, close to everything and priced right; we will definately stay again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My mom and I stayed here on our visit to Savannah, and it was the perfect place. It is in a great location! We were able to find easy parking on the street. The townhome had everything you would need and more. I even brought extra garbage bags, dish soap etc...but did not need it. I totally agree with the review on here that you never heard the neighbors at all. You are within walking distance to everything and this was so nice! It was very cozy and relaxing as well! You cannot go wrong here and I would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Recently we spent a Mothers/Daughters/Birthday Celebration weekend in Savannah and stayed 1854 Townhouse. The location was great as we were able to walk directly down to Bay St. and the Riverfront. The home was decorated nicely with period pieces to match the homes history. The home had everything we needed and more to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed our glass of wine in the courtyard in the evening before setting off for a night of dining and entertainment and then enjoyed the same courtyard in the morning for our coffee. The owner Larry was very helpful and when I emailed him a question regarding the home, he had his housekeeper contact me immediately. She was very nice and helpful. The beds, linens and furnishings were of very good quality. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Savannah and recommend this home for your next Savannah trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

When we first arrived, we were stunned at how cute and well kept this house was! We found parking right outside the gate and never had a problem finding a spot all weekend (WAY better than fighting downtown)! It was exactly as pictured and was comfortable for the four of us. The house was extremely clean and was way better than staying in any cruddy hotel! In fact, we were so pleased to find that there were even condiments in the fridge in case we wanted to grill out! What hotel does that?! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the the living room was inviting. While this is a townhouse, we did not hear a sound from the neighbors through the walls. The neighborhood was extremely safe and quiet. We even felt so inclined to search out food at 3am and felt at ease in the area. We were only a few blocks from Broughton Street which was wonderful for activities, shopping, and restaurants. While we didn't eat there, Screamin' Mimi's is only one block away and has pizza and beer. There were quite a few people there so it must be good. Also, we decided to take cabs for most of our trip. The most expensive one from Bay Street was only $7! The house was super close and prevented us from having to drive everywhere for all the good stuff downtown. Our only complaint about the whole weekend was the extra twin mattress under the queen bed. It wasn't comfortable so we ended up doubling up on the queen. No biggie... We definitely did not lose sleep over such a tiny little detail! I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone and everyone! The owner was SO easy to work with and answered all my questions in a timely manner. He even went as far as to give us his personal number in case we needed help or had questions! We loved the owner, his house, and this trip!! RENT THIS HOUSE (you won't be sorry)!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

When we first walked into our rental, we were pleasantly engulfed by the fresh scent of wood and cool air (it was 90 degrees outside), feeling like we just rode in from the carriage into our humble 1853 abode. It was everything the owner said it was and more. Amenities included an HDTV, internet connection and a stereo with surprisingly excellent bass. The home was nearly soundproof, as we could hear no road noise, or our neighbors. The location is great with downtown attractions only 5-10 minutes away. Especially the Colonial Park Cemetery, a few blocks from us to investigate for ghostly activity. For one of those simple relaxing nights, Screamin' Mimi Pizza is only one street down. The only thing we didn't utilize was the grill and fenced garden patio in the back off of the kitchen, unfortunately it was just too much like summer in Savannah during our stay to enjoy it. But the interior more than made up for it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The townhouse was just as the owner had described it would be. We were pleased with the location and it is a short walk to most anything you would want to see in Savannah. The owner was kind enough to give us many good suggestions for eating out and for sightseeing. Our stay was very relaxing and it had a lot to do with this nice townhouse. We would recommend this townhouse to anyone interested. There are some very nice local eating places close to the house. We are already making plans to visit again!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
