On the Course At Bear Trap
Our Platinum rated home is located on the sixth fairway of the Black Bear Course at Bear Trap Dunes. Bear Trap Dunes is the premier daily fee golf course in the Bethany Beach area. This links-style, 27 hole course will challenge golfers of every skill level. The club is complete with practice range, chipping area (including bunkers), and putting green. The Clubhouse is a friendly place for after round drinks at the bar, or a great dinner in what some call the best restaurant in the area.
Our home has spectacular views of the golf course and evening sunsets, from every seat in our family room, srceened deck, or sun deck. The platinum rating on this newly built (2003) townhome indicates top of the line furnishings and decorating. The kitchen is fully equipped for those wishing to prepare gourmet meals. Amenities include microwave, dishwasher, ice maker,as well as various small appliances. The kitchen and dining area are open to the large family room that boasts a 36 inch flat screen TV with DVD/CD player and stereo surround sound. While enjoying this entertainment center from the comfort of the leather sectional sofa, you may also treat yourself to the warmth of the gas-fed fireplace . There is a screened deck in the rear of the house, a sun deck to the side, and a welcoming wrap-around porch in the front of the house.
Golf is not the only first class recreational activity to enjoy at Bear Trap. The resort has 6 Har-tru tennis courts, 2 outdoor pools(one located less than 200 yards from our townhouse), 1 indoor pool, and a state of the art fitness center. The community provides a shuttle to Bethany Beach. Bethany Beach is a quick 3 Mile ride from the shuttle stop directly in front of our house. The shuttle departs every 20 minutes, and drops riders at the boardwalk. The shuttle allows you to bring chairs and other beach gear.
The sleeping quarters include the master bedroom on the lower level, furnished with a queen bed as well as a pop-up trundle day bed. Adjoining the master bedroom is the double-sink bath with large shower and separate commode. The second floor has three bedrooms, two of which contain 2 queen beds in each room, and a third which contains 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. All four bedrooms have ceiling fans and 23" TV's with remote controls.
A 'Jack and Jill' style bathroom is on the second level and a powder room is on the lower level. Quiet games or reading may be enjoyed in the living room located in the front of the first floor.
