**VERY Clean Cabin with an amazing Wall of Glass for wonderful views and great star gazing! Perfect cabin to reconnect and get away from it all!

When we go on vacation, we always worry if the place is 'clean' so we pride ourselves that our cabin is clean!

All of these pictures are of our cabin and were taken on July 10, September 15, 2011, March 2012 and October 2012!!

WE WILL RESPOND TO YOUR request quickly. If you need immediate rsvp, please call us.

*When you make a reservation, we send you updated current events, maps and 'What to Do' information so you can prepare your perfect vacation!

Our family invites you to stay in our 'home away from home'. We love our home and want to share it with you and your family.

'A Walk in the Clouds' is owned and managed privately, by the owners. No rental companies and no frustration trying to find rental agent. No lines, no wait and no check in hassles-leave your home and come right to the front door of your vacation getaway.

The minute you open the door and walk in, you will be swept away with the panoramic views of the mountains from the wall of glass on the entire back side of the cabin. Our 1100 square foot cabin has a master bedroom loft, with a comfortable king size bed! (Guests ask us all the time where we purchased our mattress!) There is a full size pull down plus a twin love seat pull out as well. Our cabin sleeps 2 adults with 3 children (total of 5 people) comfortably.

The cabin has a high vaulted ceiling, charming modern kitchen, with new wood floors, kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, a dining area, pool table, stacked stone gas fireplace, full sofa, stereo with CD player, and 2 Large Flat screen LCD TV's with cable. There is a large covered porch with wooded mountain views, including a spacious 8 person hot tub, rocking chairs and charcoal BBQ-perfect to soak in the views and release the stress of everyday life.

HERE IS THE BEST PART: The sky view! The reason we named our cabin A Walk in the Clouds was for a few reasons but mainly because after a long day of shopping and sightseeing, we crashed in our bed for the first time, turned out the lights and were amazed with the sea of stars in the sky view windows. It felt like we were lying in a clear top tent in the middle of nowhere gazing at the most beautiful sky. And, when the clouds pass, you feel like you are 'walking' in the clouds. But of course, we were in the THE COMFY king size bed; you get to 'WALK IN THE CLOUDS', stargaze and watch falling stars until you fall into a peaceful sleep. You have to come and see for yourself and let us know what you think!

You will find A Walk in the Clouds to be one of the most unique cabins with one of the most peaceful surrounding in Pigeon Forge! We have a few cabins to each side of us, but not in front or behind us (and not like in the cookie cutter-developed communities). There are only about 8+ cabins on our side of the mountain! The drive up the mountain will remind you that you are truly on a Tennessee mountain!

Our cabin is perfect for a family wanting to reconnect, honeymooners, or a couple celebrating another year of marriage. Just read our reviews in our sharing memories book in our cabin-we have families join us year after year.

***Our log cabin home is usually MUCH LESS of a nightly cost as the average hotel in PF or Gatlinburg, but we add privacy, the sounds of nature and high crisp mountain top air with five star luxury at no extra cost!***

We hope you choose to stay in our home and we sincerely pray that you make as many special memories as we have- year after year! Thank you for considering staying in our home.

My husband and I stayed here for a little get away in October and loved it, we really was able to relax, but was not to far away from town to eat out. We are already planning to return there this Spring for our anniversary. I would recommend anyone to stay there.

We stayed in A Walk in the Clouds for a week in July. It is a beautiful cabin in an ideal location. It's not too close to Pigeon Forge, and not too far. It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town and retreat to our own peaceful slice of paradise. Located off of 321, the cabin was within minutes of great shows and restaurants. We spent time hiking, whitewater rafting and ziplining, and it was near these activities also. We noticed lots of cabins near Townsend when we spent a day at Cade's Cove, and we were so glad we hadn't booked one of those. They were just too far from town. Regarding the interior of the cabin, it is in great shape. The furniture and linens were all very nice. We were very pleased. I would like to recommend a neat restaurant very near the cabin, that we discovered on our sixth day of vacation. We wish we had found them sooner! It is called "Friendly Falls Food & Stuff" and is located right on 321. Pass the turn-off for the cabin (Hidden Hollow) and continue on 321 for 1/8 of a mile. It is on your left. This restaurant has outdoor seating across a long deck that overlooks a BEAUTIFUL waterfall!!! The view cannot be beat!! A precious couple renovated the restaurant and opened it 6 weeks ago. They have prior restaurant experience and serve delicious food. We ordered burgers, pulled pork, and fish...it was all good. Also, don't miss their appetizer of kettle cooked chips and homemade french onion dip -- it was amazing!! You can also get a sack lunch to go for hikes in the Smoky Mountains. I guess I went on and on about this restaurant, but we wish we had found them sooner and I just wanted to let future guests know since they are PAST the turn-off to the cabin.

My family and I loved our stay in this cabin. The enjoyment started even before we arrived. The owner was great to deal with and answered ALL of my questions. This was our first time using VRBO and we will definately use it again but most importantly we will stay at this cabin again! The cabin was beautiful and the view from the back of the cabin was amazing! I must say the full moon was quite bright one morning about 3:30am but what an amazing sight to wake up to. It was perfectly close to where we needed to go but far enough away that we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. We also were greeted when we arrived our first night by "Doritos" the raccoon. We all loved that! We loved our stay and the owners made it even better by being so kind and accessable. Thank you and we look forward to staying again.

You gotta love "Doritos"-he is the cutest racoon in TN!

What an incredible place...A Walk in the Clouds! What an Amazing view of God's beautiful creation! Just wanted to say to the owners...thank you so much for sharing your home away from home with us, and tell you how very much we enjoyed our stay at "A Walk in the Clouds"!!! We had a very quiet & relaxing stay in your beautiful cabin! We would highly recommend it to other guests! The owner was very helpful! *The only word of caution would be,..it could be difficult to get to during winter weather without a 4-wheel drive.

It was our pleasure having you as guests and thank you again for choosing to stay in our home away from home. The average annual snowfall in Pigeon Forge is 5.1 inches over the past 17+ years and it rarely accumulates...unless you are in ski country of course. And if you get up to see it, it is so beautiful. Then again, you can go up the mountains to see snow 9 out of the 12 months if you want. It is great to be in 60 degree weather and then 30-45 minutes later, drive up the mountain and have a snowball fight with your family! It is definitely God's country!

Our family set out looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains and it was everything we wanted, and more. The cabin was clean and updated and I loved the glass back wall. Sometimes, I would just sit and enjoy the view from the upstairs loft. One night, I witnessed a spectacular thunderstorm in the middle of the night - it was amazing! We spent a lot of time at the cabin, but took time each day to enjoy some of the great things the Smoky Mountains have to offer. We took a beautiful hike to some waterfalls, we biked Cades Cove, where we saw a couple of bears, and we went tubing (probably my favorite) and white water rafting. We are not much for all of the commercial attractions of Pigeon Forge (my husband called it Myrtle Beach on steroids :) ) but it was nice to have it close by when we needed to run to town for groceries, dinner or internet access. The cabin was so secluded that it was hard to believe that all of that was just a few miles down the road. The only downside, was the road getting up to the cabin. It is extremely steep and we were there following some bad rains and the road was in poor condition. The highlight of our trip, however, was probably the wildlife right at our back door. We had regular visits from the raccoon which we named "Rocky" and towards the end of our stay a mama bear and 4 little baby cubs walked right up to the back deck! I took some great video of one of the cubs munching on one of bushes below the deck. We were up high enough that we never felt threatened, but mama never took her eyes off of us. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime, so, thank you, Tincher's, for sharing your home away from home with us! It was a great family experience - even for our 16-year-old son.

This cabin was truly 'A Walk in the Clouds'. The description of the cabin is quite accurate. The photos are very recent. Everything was exactly as described. While not as private or secluded as we would have liked, we could only hear the neighbors not see them. The friendly raccoon was a daily visitor. We had no problems with the cabin. It was luxurious and beautiful. We enjoyed the taste testing at Moonshine Ridge Gift Shop just down the road. Thank you for providing a wonderful place to reconnect with each other and celebrate 29 years of marriage.

Wonderful place! LOVE the glass windows. After a day of hiking, then relaxing in the hot tub, we laid in bed at night and looked at the stars - where else can you do THAT! VERY clean. Private - you drive up a gravel road, but it is not far from the main road and worth the privacy and to get away from the busyness of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

We recently stayed at "A Walk In The Clouds" cabin. First of all, upon arriving to the cabin, we realized that it was extremely difficult to find it as it is quite "off the beaten path". The lane going to the cabin was extremely long, steeply uphill, & overgrown. The gravel road was very loose & difficult to maneuver at times. However, we didn't mind that so much as seclusion was what we were looking for! Besides, once you are back on the main highway, it was quite close to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg which was very convenient. When we first arrived at "A Walk In The Clouds" cabin, we were amazed at how beautiful it was & how clean it seemed. We were a little disappointed though because there are several other cabins nearby & this is not what we were led to believe. On our 1st night there, we found a wasp in the bathroom but didn't think much of it. However, we started noticing more & more wasps inside the cabin & upon looking up at the cathedral ceilings we found at least 10-20 wasps inside the house! After calling the maintenance personnel & explaining my husband's severe allergy to bees & wasps, we were told they were going to contact the owners & call us back. After a few minutes, they called us back & told us that since they were unable to reach the owners they were going to come over & take care of the wasps themselves. They came over, killed all the wasps & cleaned up the mess. We told them that we had found where they were getting in & we were told the owners would be notified. We tried to stay positive & continued on with our vacation. They owners called us that night, apologized for the wasps & explained that the cabin had been treated recently before our stay. I told them that it was taken care of & we just wanted to enjoy the rest of our trip. (This all happened by day 2) The following day we spent the majority of the day away & came back late to find more wasps. We spent the rest of the evening trying to kill them ourselves & cleaning up the mess. We again contacted the maintenance personnel who called the owners. The owner called us & asked us what we wanted done. We told them that we just wanted to get some rest as it was very late & wanted the holes closed up even though we only had 1 day left of our stay. The next day the holes were closed but our vacation was over. I thought that the owner would contact us & try to make things right for all the time spent on this but I was wrong. Very disappointing...

Owner response: Thank you for your feedback. I truly appreciate you recognizing the things that are within our control, which is the beauty and cleanliness of cabin, in your feedback. As for the mountain road, it changes daily. And the other cabins, there are some to each side of us, but not in front, back, etc. and there are only 8 cabins on our side of the entire mountain. As for the wasps, first and foremost, forgive us for not responding the way you would have liked us to respond-we truly thought we did our best. Every time you called, we asked what you wanted done, and we did it. I too have reaction to wasps & we understood your concern from the minute we got our maintenance call from Don. A cabin deep in the woods is a place insects always find to get out of 90+ degree weather. From the minute you told us where you believed they were getting in at, we began calling. We called that night & very next morning- for over three hours- for someone to fix & caulk the area. Everyone we called told us “it will be 2 days”! Not acceptable-we needed someone ASAP. Please know Don does not own a 20 ft ladder to get to the peaked area so we had to call the county, other rental companies, to find someone who could come out immediately. We honestly prayed several times that we would find someone who would be able to come out before the two days & we accepted the first person that was available to come out ASAP no matter of the cost. Understanding your concern, and ours, safety is #1priority to us. Prayers were answered & someone was out there and fixed the hole the very next morning! We did call you and we have phone records from our phone to the cabin phone, showing that we called several times to make sure you were okay & everything was taken care. We did not want to call your cell phone & interrupt your vacation if you were out having fun & mind wasn’t on the situation. We felt best to call you at cabin. We did everything you asked & everything we knew to do. We called and asked what you wanted, even if it was to leave immediately (which we would have credited), wanted Don to come back out, etc. we were ready to take care of you. Again, thank you for staying in our cabin. We appreciate your feedback and wished if there was something you wanted us to do differently, or were dissatisfied with what we were doing, that you would have shared it with us person to person so we could have taken care of you; versus after the fact and on the website. Maria & Eric

About the owner: A little bit about our family: we live in Ohio and bought this cabin because it was a place to visit that had something for everyone in our family. It was perfect for just the two of us, or for the times we wanted to vacation with all five of us! The sight seeing, putt-putting, arcades, white water rafting, outlet malls, quaint Gatlinburg shops, shows, awesome restaurants, beautiful mountains, etc. are all just a short drive away from our home in Ohio. Where else can you go from 75 degree weather to below 32 degree weather and have snowball fights in the same day? In the Tennessee mountains.

                          Why the Owner Chose Sevierville:
We bought this home because we wanted to stay connected and keep bringing our family back to where we got married, in the Tennessee Smokies!

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Our cabin has the best kept secret in Tennessee. We have the best skyview & wall of glass to the comfiest bed around! You have to see it to believe it! Being secluded and up in the mountains, many of natures friends will visit. Our most frequent furry guests are our racoon friends. Although we never know when they visit, they usually come around at least once a visit. Our guests have actually nicknamed one 'Doritos' for his love of the snack. The babies are adorable, but please remember the animals are wild and we are guests on their mountain and in their woods.
