Our stay in Turks and Caicos was simply perfect. We are so happy that we were able to stay at this Leeward cottage. The location was wonderful as it was close to everything we needed and easily accessible by bike. David was so lovely to pick us up from the airport, take us to the grocery and then to the bike rental office to get our bikes. We were completely ready to begin our Turks and Caicos adventure in no time! We settled into the cottage quickly. It was wonderfully arranged and had everything we needed for a comfortable weeks stay. We enjoyed cooking our meals and enjoying them on the wonderful screened in porch at the back of the cottage. The neighborhood of Leeward is amazingly quiet and peaceful. It is only a moments bike ride or quick walk to the lovliest beach on the island. We were also very pleased to be so close to Big Blue Unlimited adventures and water sports company. We spent almost everyday with them in one way or another. We went on their Heart of the Islands tour, a Kayaking adventure to Iguana Island and through the mangroves and a two tank scuba diving trip that was simply breathtaking. We also did the scuba refresher course with them beforehand since we were a bit rusty. We really enjoyed eating lunch at the Flamingo and Da Conch Shack and loved the pastries and fresh bread from Caicos Bakery. We just cannot say enough good things about our stay at this cottage and the beautiful Turks and Caicos. Thank you so much again and again to David and Amanda for making certain our trip was simply perfect! We would return to the cottage in a heartbeat! Erika and James DeckerRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you James and Erika, it was a delight to meet you both and so happy that your vacation will be memorable. We look forward to hopefully having you stay with us again sometime soon. Best regards and please do recommend the glorious Turks and Caicos Islands to friends and family. David and Amanda

The Allamanda Villa was exactly what we needed! From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. David and Amanda made us feel as if we'd known them for ten years instead of ten minutes. They were so incredibly nice and every suggestion or recommendation was spot on. The Allamanda Villa was comfortable, cozy and perfect for our week long vacation. Everything from the beach style decor to the screened in back porch where we had our morning coffee daily was intimate and wonderful. We will definitely be staying at the Allamanda Villa on our return trip to Turks and Caicos!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had an excellent stay at the cottage in TCI. The owners were out of town for the holidays and had a local friend pick us up. She was so kind and prompt and showed us the around to the best places and local grocery stores. It is a simple 2 minute walk to the must beautiful beach we have ever seen! We loved our stay and will definitely plan another trip to TCI and to David & Amanda's cottage!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Angel, Many thanks for your wonderful review. We do hope to meet you on your next trip to TCI, David and Amanda

We just returned from a week of staying in this adorable beach cottage! I've already started recommending this property to other couples looking for a relaxing beach vacation. David and Amanda were extremely helpful and even ran to the store when we needed a can opener!! They are terrific hosts! They were always available if we had questions or needed recommendations for activities or dining info. The cottage is excellent for two people and the property is exactly how it is pictured here on the website. There were no surprises!! Thanks again David & Amanda for a magnificent time...this was our 8th time to TCI and by far the best experience! We are already looking forward to a return visit!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It was such a pleasure to have you stay with us Lesley and John. Perhaps one day we shall say hello to you on our next trip to Atlanta. Look forward to seeing you both again. Take care, David and Amanda

We spent eight nights at Alamanda Cottage. David is a super host - welcoming and never shy on recommendations (e.g. the Conch Shack, on Provo, Wade's Green Plantation, on North Caicos, and Mudjin Harbor, on Middle Caicos). When we arrived, as promised he picked us up at the airport and drove us to the supermarket our first night, when we did not have a car yet. There was even a bottle of white wine awaiting us at the cottage. On Turks and Caicos, the water is pristine and the sand as soft as flour - a marvel! Staying at Alamanda and renting a car (a must!) gave us an opportunity to explore Provo in a way you would not do if staying at an all inclusive; we really appreciated this. I f you plan on going to Turks and Caicos, would we recommend this place? Absolutely! Sylvain and DanielRecommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful for us during our stay on T&C. We're a young family with a tiny toddler, and we managed just fine in the Leeward studio. It's a hike from the crowded Grace bay village, so we'd recommend a rental car if you're coming to the island to be near the "action". If you're more inclined to stay in a safe quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from wide-open beaches...this is your place! Not far from the Leeward marina where you can catch a ferry to North/Middle Caicos islands.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you Ian for your kind words. It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hope that TCI was the rest you needed. We also hope that we helped to make your trip memorable. Warm regards, David and Amanda

Thank you David, Amanda, Olivia and Ella for a wonderful stay at your beautiful guest cottage, and for welcoming us to TCI and your home so warmly!! Allamanda Cottage was a perfect fit for our family, and you all went above and beyond in ensuring that we felt comfortable and welcome. Also: your patience with and kindness towards our two-year old will not be soon forgotten!! She is still talking about your treehouse, and her sojourn to the beach with “the girls”. Thank you for never once making us feel like a faceless, nameless number, or simply a credit card, as can be the case with so many large resorts. Potential guests: Don’t be fooled into thinking you need to stay further down the coast in the center of grace bay, or directly on the beachfront. This little cottage is exactly as described above, and only a few minutes easy walk from one of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches on the face of the earth. The colour of the water is stunning. The texture of the sand is perfect. The crowds are nonexistent. The beachcombing is stellar. (How many types of seashells can you find?) The sunsets are indescribable. The quiet walk home, and the time spent together with family or friends is simply priceless. The whole package: a simply unforgettable vacation. All of the best that TCI has to offer is only a short drive or bike ride from this cottage, and you are equipped with everything you need for a perfect yet affordable getaway. On an island where most accommodations charge a higher rate per night than is charged for an entire week at Allamanda Cottage, this place should be at the top of your list. We will be recommending it to all our friends and family when they come to visit us at our new island home later in the year, and we hope to keep in touch with this great family when we finally make it to ‘town’. All the best from sunny but frozen Montreal! -Caitlyn, Trevor and Adelaide-Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear Caitlyn, Trevor and Addie, It was such a delight to meet you all, Addie is just adorable!! We really hope that our cottage 'made' your trip memorable and look forward to seeing you all back on your return. Best wishes, David, Amanda, Olivia and Ella Warm regards, David and Amanda

Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for and the pictures depict exactly what you are getting. Small, quaint guest house that is close to the beach, quiet, very clean, safe, and comfortable. Being in Leeward, the area was very quiet and close to a beautiful section of beach which was not overcrowded like the stretch along Grace Bay. Though when we wanted to find a little more excitement, it was only a 15 minute bike ride (bike on the sidewalks!) for us to head to the main Grace Bay area where the action was. If you have a car, it's no more than 5 minutes there. We walked a few times too (along the beach and the road). David also offered to take us in many times during our stay for groceries, etc if we wanted. If chartering diving or other things through Big Blue, it's only a 5 minute bike ride to the Leeward Marina. For the ferries, it's just over 10 minutes to bike to where they come in. Our days were busy on the beach and doing activities such as diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and cycling. Caught the ferry to North Provo and cycled around there as well. The beach along Leeward and Grace Bay is very long. One can swim and walk for hours on the velvety soft sand from Leeward Marina all the way to Turtle Cove uninterrupted! David made some great suggestions on things to do/see and who to talk to, plus he's very knowledgeable on anything you want to know about the island and area. Our Fav Food - Da Conch Shack, Pizza Pizza, Jamaican Patties, Fresh Bakery, Yoshis, Grille Rouge, Seaside Cafe, Barracuda (North Caicos), IGA gourmet grocery. A big treat for me was the screened in deck on the back of the guest house in the brush. Any meals we made at the guest house, we ate out there. Very peaceful and really adds to the quality of the stay there as it's quiet, private and feels separate from the house (I couldn't hear anything my fiance was doing inside while I was out there). I spent many warm, relaxing evenings on that deck reading and watching the resident geckos chase bugs around the screen (they were on the outside of course!). I left two books there for the next guests to read - Treasure Island: such a fun, classic book that is a must when in the Caribbean! and - Born to Run: an excellent read on American ultra runners and the Mexican Taramuhara tribe runners. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others. David and Amanda are excellent hosts that made us feel welcome and at home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Jason, it was such a pleasure to meet you both and we certainly hope that your trip will be memorable. You are so welcome to come back and stay with us at any time. Amanda and David, thank you so much for letting us to stay in the cottage! The description is accurate, the cottage is small but neat, very clean, tastefully decorated, and it has everything what we were looking for. The owners are very nice and helpful. There are few roads to the beach: 4 min, 10 min and 15 min slow walking. The last one was good to explore the Leeward community and see the fine properties. We rented the car for three days for shopping and driving around, but we found out that one day would be enough, specially because the driving on "opposite" road side and impatience of other drivers. The beach is soooo good, we regret every "wasted" minute we have not spent there. You can walk miles and miles...picking up amazingly big shells...swimming in very clear turquoise water...playing with fine white sand...everybody is relaxed and smiling...just wonderful. I would recomment this property for tourists on a budget looking for the best beach! You would pay this weekly price for one or two nights in low end hotel. Not for the nightlife/shopping/party seekers.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Jamilia and Igor, Happy and healthy 2012. It was so good to meet you both and we are delighted that you both had a relaxing vacation in TCI. Hope that you can visit us again one day. David, Amanda, Olivia and Ella

This lovely cottage is PERFECT for a couple seeking refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life! Situated on the property of the owners' main house, with its brightly colored yellow and blue, it exudes a warm welcome every time you pull into the driveway, day or night. It offers the perfect amount of privacy, while being in good proximity to all Provo has to offer. The gracious hospitality of the owners extended to us upon arrival in TCI was superb. With a meet & greet at the airport, a nice bottle of wine in the fridge, enough coffee to get us going in the mornings, an emergency pre-programmed cell phone, and spare snorkel gear to use at our leisure – we were quite at home from the very beginning. In addition, the owners were happy to make any number of recommendations for things to do, places to see, dine and shop. From our initial contact through VRBO through the entire stay, they were incredibly kind and easy to make arrangements with. During our trip we felt looked after -- but in a completely unobtrusive and respectful manner. One of the best physical features of the cottage is the screened back porch, surrounded on three sides by lush green landscaping, swishing gently in the wind, providing total privacy from neighbors and cover from insects while still being very much outdoors. In addition, the studio kitchen is well provisioned with the basics for simple meal preparation, the living quarters spacious enough for two people to relax, store baggage and personal items, and feel like you've "gotten away from it all". We never once switched on the TV, but thanks to the internet access at the cottage we enjoyed listening to music from an internet radio station. The cottage is located about 2 minutes drive (or 10 minute walk - at island pace) from one of the most stunning and secluded beaches in the world. We spent the vast majority of our trip sunning ourselves on this beach, enjoying the gorgeous water and, above all, enjoying the privacy it offered. There were literally stretches of hours when we did not lay eyes on another human being. It was HEAVEN to be surrounded by so much natural beauty and have it ALL TO OURSELVES with only the occasional beachcomber or potcake pup to come over and visit with us. This was a first-time visit to TCI by two very experienced travelers. We highly recommend this sweet, reasonably-priced rental to anyone looking for their own slow-paced, sun-drenched, private island paradise.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Abby and Rob, Thank you so much for this amazing review; you really ought to become a travel writer Abby, you write so well. We are both delighted that we were able to MAKE your trip so memorable and we hope that one day you can come back and visit us again.Love to both of you. We had a wonderful time at Turks and Caicos with the help of David and Amanda who did recommand the best sites on the island. The studio is confortable, clean and well-maintained. The pool was very much appreciated, 5 seconds from the studio. The environement is secure and peaceful. We came back with marvelous memories of sunsets, marine life, and the unique blue of the sea. Our charming hosts oriented us to great places to snorkel and pointed out the best restaurants. Tranquility was always au rendez-vous. We recommand TCI at David and Amanda's.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Karine and Diane for your review; it was a delight to meet you and be able to share our wonderful island with you. We welcome you back always and hope that you will recommend our cute cottage to others. Take care. David and Amanda
