Go Green in Maine: Welcome to the Emerald Isle also known as Mount Desert but best known as Acadia.
The spectacular Acadia National Park is within easy walking distance to several trails right from house! You can also bike or drive to other Park entrances depending on what trail or activity you would like to pursue.
Mountains, lakes, and ponds are as lush & clean as a tropical forest. Quick walk to Somes Sound ,and axcess to it.
Live green with hardwood floors, wood furnishings even in the kitchen, no formica here! This is a charming old 'Bar Harbor style' Victorian cottage and is reminiscent of a simpler time long ago.
Privacy in back yard with umbrella table, picnic table, and two grills for outdoor living. Enjoy a large vegetable garden, green lawn & flowers.
L.L. Bean offers a free 'Green'bus all over Mount Desert Island, off Island (Ellsworth) and Schoodic Point. This is a great way to get around without using your car! (You can bring your bikes too as there is a bike rack on bus) Runs day & eves.
This is a dog friendly home, however your pet must be up to date on 'all' vaccinations, including kennel cough, and monthly flea and tick prevention.
There is a leash law in Northeast Harbor and Mount Desert Island and cleaning up after your dog on this property and while walking in town or in Park is required and expected!
(Will expect interior to be free of dog fur etc when checking out as a courtesy to our next guests)
