San Cristobal cabin description

Taos Goji Eco Lodge and Farm is nestled in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. These charming, historic log cabins are in close proximity to Taos (11 miles) and the Taos Ski Valley and Red River (30 minutes). Fully furnished, and situated on a 40 acre goji berry farm, the cabins are surrounded by national forest with a great view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

The Cabana Sol is 325 sq ft and has a queen bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove $ fridge. The bathroom has a shower/tub.
There is Wi-Fi on the property and the cabins have gas heaters and a pot belly stove to keep you warm. There is a laundry facility on the property and a play ground for children. There are also larger cabins and casitas on the property available for rental. Please inquire.

Originally designed to house sheep herders. Aldous Huxley and D.H. Lawrence lived and wrote in the cabins. They are renovated, but still have the rustic country feel!

We raise organic goji berries and have baby chickens and mini goats grazing in the summer.

The land has creeks, ponds, aspens and cottonwood trees, flower gardens, stone paths, goji, raspberry and apple orchards and great views of the mountains. We use only green cleaners and recycle. These historic casitas and cabins offer a great country retreat for writers and artists, couples who seek solitude and families who would like to experience living on a farm in the country side. It is a great place to just to kick back in, take walks or fish. Our place is also a bird sanctuary and a couple of dedicated bird watchers counted up top 100 different species! There is a play ground outside and we are adding animals to our petting zoo. Drinking water comes from our deep wells.
During summer we have fresh, organic vegetables available to guests and during late summer and fall there are plenty of apples to pick. Beginning in mid-April, gourmet breakfasts and dinners are available at extra charge. Massages, baby sitting and horse trail rides are available by appointment.
We are located in the countryside and city slickers may be dismayed by the lack of street lights and the quietude at night. Our internet connection gets spotty during rain storms and snow. Depending on your cell phone provider you may have to drive to the post office or up the road to get reception.

We’re not a motel or hotel: these are clean, rustic country cabins, a perfect place for creative individuals drive who desire to take a break from the hustle and bustle of civilization or to bring your children to appreciate country living. This is also an introduction to camping or glamping for families who want a degree of country comfort. This is a place to get away from the TV and computer games. Don't panic, Taos is a only 15 minute away!
Taos Ski Valley reminds us of the Swiss/French/Austrian founders' roots blended with the traditions and customs of the local Hispanic and Pueblo Indian cultures. Being the home of extreme skiing, this is just not a resort for experts, with many beginner and intermediate runs. The ski school is one of the nation's best. It also has an excellent children's day care and ski facility, both skiers and snowboarders are welcome.
Taos is home to more than twenty sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The Taos Pueblo has been occupied for nearly a millennium and is considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited community in the Unites States. The Taos Pueblo was added as an Unesco World Heritage Site in 1992 as one of the most significant historical cultural landmarks in the world;

There are many ways to explore art in Taos. Taos is an old art colony since 1899. Some of the artists' studios have been preserved and may be viewed by visitors. Many of the historic sites are homes and studios of artists, including the Mabel Dodge Luhan House.
Eanger Irving Couse House and Studio, Joseph Henry Sharp Studios, the Leon Gaspard House, the Couse/Sharp Historic Site and the Ernest Martin Hennings House. On Ledoux Street, just south of the Taos Plaza, are the Ernest L. Blumenschein House and Harwood House.
There are three Art Museums in Taos: Harwood Museum of Art, Taos Art Museum and Millicent Rogers Museum that provide art from the pueblo Native Americans, Taos Society of Artists and modern and contemporary artists of the Taos art colony. The town has numerous art galleries and there are several houses of the Taos Society of Artists.
