Charming Old Village Windmill - Short Walk to Beach and Town
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Magnificent Lighthouse Beach and Chatham Village are both just under a half-mile away. Our central location means that you can walk to the beach in the morning and walk to dinner in Chatham Village at night. There is no need to worry about traffic or beach parking.
The Windmill Cottage is located on a dead end street, two houses from the shore of the Mill Pond. Our water-view location, provides a nearly constant ocean breeze which helps keep things cool on the hottest days. An outdoor dining area and gas grill is provided. You have the ability to walk out the door for a swim in the Mill Pond. There is a public landing roughly 100 ft from the entrance providing the perfect spot to launch a kayak.
The interior features hand hewn pine beam construction and fine woodwork. A steep stairway provides access to the second floor bedroom where the gears of the mill remain in place.
This is truly a one of a kind rental.
Why Choose Chatham?
The Old Village of Chatham is one of the few places on Cape Cod that has remained largely untouched and unspoiled by development. The streets are narrow and lined with flowers and cottages. The beach is spectacular and adjoins Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, Massachusetts' only federally designated Wilderness Area.

We are at this moment staying in the windmill untill friday the 3rd of Aug. The surroundings are wonderful and you can walk to the town and beach. The windmill is just adoreable. It is quite small but i had enough space with my two daughters. There is no micro wave but a cooker and big fridge. The garden is nice too and the bed is very confortable. I would really recommend it to everyone, just perfect!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed our 1 week stay in the Windmill. The location was excellent and the property was clean and well maintained. Great shops and restaurants in walking distance. Would highly recommend for 3 people but might be a little tight for 4. The Lighthouse beach in walking distance is one of the nicest beaches we have ever visited. Would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
