  My girlfriend and I couldn't have been happier with the cabin. The place was spacious but really cozy. The location was quiet and serene with seating outdoors to relax and enjoy the views. Plus, Kate was very accommodating and took time to show us around, including a walk down to the river. Also, it's less than a five minute drive to downtown Healdsburg. All-in-all, I couldn't recommend it more.

  We had some friends that had stayed here last year and after we saw the pictures we couldn't resist. We have always traveled to Napa so this was the first time for my family and I to try Sonoma County, let alone Healdsburg. We first got into town and Kate the owner met up with us to give us keys and a tour of the property. It was everything we thought and more! With it's gorgeous views of the valleys and quiet atmosphere we knew we had made the right choice. After some dinner recommendations from Kate we decided to try out Scopa and we must have been there all night. Amazing food, wine and we sat outside on a unusually warm night. Coming back to the property it only took a few minutes from town. Thanks again Kate for making our stay perfect and I highly recommend anyone who is looking at this property to come because you will not be disappointed!

  The little cabin was great - clean, comfortable and Kate was the most gracious hostess. She was flexible with our arrival time, which was so helpful, as we stopped along the way from SF and ran late. The cabin was cold, but this time of year, it tends to be cold. The space heater in the bedroom worked just fine. We will come back! Thank you, Kate!

  This darling cabin is located on Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg. When you walk up to the front door you feel like you've walked into a story book. The outside fireplace is charming and it feels like you are in the middle of a grotto. The cabin has everything you can dream of and ~ yet ~ it has the charm of days gone by. It is well stocked with movies, flat screen tv, dishes, towels, flowers, hot tub etc...you are totally surround by the beauty of nature...It's about a five minute drive to the town of Healdsburg ~ great shopping and fabulous resturants. Fun place for a girls weekend or a romantic night for two. Also, an outstanding Christmas gift (cerificate) idea for adult children. Kate, the owner, couldn't have been nicer. Thanks for the memories....we'll be back!

  This cabin is incredibly charming (and clean) on a beautiful lot with amenities that made us feel at home and on vacation. We stayed only for one weekend (to attend a wedding reception) and loved the feel of being in the woods in a pine cabin with a kitchen and sun room overlooking a gorgeous vista of oak trees, vegetable garden, vineyard in the distance. The owner responded immediately to our inquiry prior to booking, and she followed up with a warm email after we departed. She also met us late at night when we drove in. We loved her recommendation to visit the Downtown Bakery on Center St. Her descriptions of floating down the river make us want to come back for a longer visit next summer! If you would like a relaxing vacation retreat in the woods, this is an ideal location. We loved it!

  My wife and I had been invited to a wedding in Healdsburg and we needed a place to stay during the event. A motel room with a view of the parking lot and freeway was going for $300/night! No thanks. We have stayed at several VRBO homes in the past so we decided to see what might be available. We struck "Gold"! The cabin was much more than we ever expected from the pictures. Very secluded and incredibly quiet. Spacious living area with beautiful views toward the Russian River and the vineyard covered hillsides beyond. The property is huge and there are several areas to sit and enjoy the views and the sound of silence. The owner is most helpful and can direct you to any local activities you may be interested in. The wedding we attended at BarnDiva was beautiful and returning to the "Cabin" made our visit to Healdsburg extra special. We only wish we could have stayed longer - next time.

  I have stayed here twice with my spouse and we plan to go back again. It's a lovely little cabin in a spectacularly quiet setting in the wine country. The family that owns the property live next door (don't worry, they're not that close) and are just the nicest people. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway, and the bed is really comfortable and hard to get out of in the morning! If you're looking for a place to just chill, you couldn't do better.

  The Cabin HBG truly does have everything you need for a wine country getaway. It was only a few minute drive to downtown Healdsburg where we dined at the amazing Zin which is a must for anyone traveling here! After spending much of the day driving through Alexander Valley our favorite part was coming back to the cabins and sitting on the outlook point watching the sunset over the Russian River. Thank you Kate, the effort you put into your cabin really made every moment of our vacation the best that it could be. We hope to visit again, real soon!

  This was my first trip to Healdsburg and I am so happy that I stayed at this cabin! I am from Rhode Island and this was my first time visiting the west coast. My first impression of the cabin was absolutely jaw dropping. It was more then I could of anticipated. It was the cutest cabin with views of surrounding vineyards and the Russian River. Kate couldn't of been any kinder and I enjoyed the history behind her cabin and made the stay all the more memorable. The town of Healdsburg was amazing and ate at some fabulous restaurants such as Scopa and Barn Diva. The fireworks show was outstanding and my husband and I had the most incredible time. Kate thank you so much for the trip of a lifetime and please hold our spot for next fourth of July as well! Ciao

  This cabin, perfect for two, that sits above the Russian River (you can't see it from the cabin, since it's on the hill above the river) was my birthday surprise from my partner. And what a lovely surprise it was! It feels like a special place, almost like you're in the country even though you've only gone an hour out of the city, with the picturesque vineyards across the way, the chickens next door (thank goodness no roosters!) and the baby herons making a shocking amount of noise in the trees above the river. And oh, the sunsets! The house itself is great, with a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy bedroom and many fans (remember, it was hot!). You can feel the love that went into decorating it. The shower was a little close for my big shouldered partner, but I had no trouble. Another reviewer had it right -the pictures don't do this justice. But the best part of the house is the outside- sitting in the garden while BBQing or going to the backyard to have some wine and cheese while watching the sunset. We had a fun time walking down to and hanging out at the river every day (it was in the 90s, and the river felt perfect!) and going to town at night (you have to try Barndiva!) Thanks to Kate for letting us make use of her river chairs and inner-tubes and being so wonderful and helpful herself! I wish I could keep this a secret, but they always come out. It's a great spot that I highly recommend and hopefully will be back to!
