We booked this rental after looking at a few others in the Capitol Hill area. It was well suited to our family of four, including two kids. The townhouse was clean and prepped for our arrival. I spoke a few times with Ana, the owner, and she was pleasant and quick to help answer any questions and sort out details prior to our arrival. Our family quite enjoyed the proximity to Madison Ave., and especially the bakery about a block away. The only surprise (and perhaps it shouldn't have been) is that one of the bedrooms is on the main floor-- mind you, with an adjacent bathroom--while the other two bedrooms are on the top floor. Just a small point that would have been helpful with planning. Overall our stay was exactly what we had hoped. We plan on visiting again on future trips to Seattle.

We absolutely loved the location of your townhouse! So wonderful. It’s really easy to get anywhere from there by car, and we had fun walking to restaurants, the arboretum and the beach. It was a very comfortable stay and nice that five of us could be together for a visit. It was the perfect place. . and nice weather too. .so glad we found you.

We booked through the vacationrentals website and chose this apartment based on the location, which also suits our family of six adults for our 3 nights stay. Was great having the convenience of a full kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. The house is clean, tidy and well kept, which makes our stay very comfortable together with the quiet surroundings.

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Seattle with my parents and my sister and her husband. We were in a bit of a bind because of a last minute reservation cancellation at another condo we had rented for our trip. Luckily, Ana was more than accommodating and offered Casana to us less than 2 weeks before our trip. The townhouse is modern, comfortable and very well kept. It is ideal for 4 people as there are 2 full size bedrooms and a 3rd small room, but the 6 people in our group were able to make it work relatively well. The location in East Capitol Hill is great as it is a short drive to downtown (5-10 mins) and there is a nice little neighborhood restaurant and bar area two blocks away. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay at Casana again on our next visit to Seattle.

Casana was a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the gas fireplace was a special touch. We enjoyed sharing meals around the large and comfortable dining table. The property is very centrally located. We particularly liked visiting the UW Arboretum which is close by.

Casana is a great location for your stay in Seattle. The boutique shops and neighborhood restaurants of Madison Park are just steps away. One can also walk to Seattle's Arboretum and to Lake Washington. Although we had a car, at times we opted to use the nearby public transportation. Casana is centrally located to the University District, Madrona, Bellevue, and of course downtown Seattle. Just 30 minutes away is Woodinville where one can taste many of Washington's great wines. The owner has truly made Casana "a home away from home". The townhouse is new, tastefully furnished, and the kitchen lacks for nothing. The gas fireplace is such a treat! Trader Joe's, Safeway, and several excellent bakeries are within walking distance if you choose to dine at home. Cleanliness is very important and Casana was crisp from the sparkling mirrors to the nice linens. Having a washer and dryer available was a wonderful feature as were the plentiful hangers in the walk-in closets. We definitely recommend Casana for your next stay. The owner is easy to reach, helpful, and respectful. Our stay could not have been better. Thank you!

We booked this property for a PNW ski trip with Seattle as our home base. We settled on Seattle as the surrounding areas had great snow in a bad year and some people on the trip were non-skiers and we didn't want to bore them at a resort. Wow, did we have a great time. The snow as fantastic and Crystal Mountain and Stevens Pass are super-legit ski areas reliably 1.5-2 hours away. But on to what the average traveler might care about. The property itself is a three story townhouse in a quaint neighborhood a quick twenty minutes from SeaTac airport. Although it is apparently actually more accurately Madison Valley, but it is pretty much on the eastern border of Capitol Hill and I'm not from Seattle so who knows. It's very vertically oriented, but comfortably accommodates six. The master bed has its own bathroom; both are particularly nice. There is an additional bedroom on the third floor, it is smallish but has ample storage space. The third bedroom is on the ground level and is adjacent to a full bath. The second story is the living room, dining table, kitchen and half bath. There is a nice gas fire place by the couch and the dining area is spacious. Heaters in each room allow for custom temperature control. Overall, the property feels a little small due to the vertical layout, but despite that, it never felt claustrophobic. Literally my only wish with the layout would be another couch or something in the common area. For six, the property is perfect; more might be stretching capacity. The property was very clean and well-maintained. In fact, one could feel the personal touch of the owner positively influencing one's stay. The pictures are quite accurate; it is not exactly luxury, but it is very comfortable, clean and well-located. There are a few decent places to grab eats nearby, as well as a good coffee shop and a cupcake bakery. The best nearby restaurants, though, are in what I believe is called the Pike/Pine Corridor near Madison and 12th, about ten minutes away. In particular, Momiji had amazing sushi, Molly Moon's was mind-blowing ice cream and Cafe Presse was delicious French fare. We had a pleasant glass at The Local Vine while waiting for a table at Presse and many more offerings are nearby. I will absolutely consider this property if/when I return to Seattle and would recommend it to others. It was a fantastic trip for me and I believe having a great place to stay contributed to how much I enjoyed my stay in Seattle.

This was our first time in Seattle. We loved Seattle; we loved your townhouse. Looking around the windows, it was like living in a forest. After the daily trips going back to townhouse became like coming home.

                  Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2008

About the owner: I'm a world traveler originally from the SF Bay Area who spends most of the year in Seattle, my adopted 'hometown'. Having lived in Germany, France, Mexico, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey has allowed me to become fairly proficient in several languages... French & Spanish being my strongest suits. In my spare time, I play a lot of tennis and see as many movies as I can!

Why the Owner Chose Capitol Hill:
I have enjoyed living in Madison Valley since I arrived in Seattle in 1991. It's a great neighborhood out of the hubbub of downtown, but it's super convenient to so many attractions.
