  The house was a great value. House is outdated carpet in the bathrooms but for the price it was well worth it and would stay here again in second.

  We received fantastic services from the first email inquiring to book. When we got into the house, we were greeted by a lovely basket of goodies. Thanks for making us feel comfortable. The house itself needs a very deep clean. We went and bought a cleaner just to remove dust from the headboards and lamps and remove a film from the counters and tables. The carpet is so dated and worn and should have not even been placed in areas like the bathroom and dining room. Many of the windows did not close once they were opened unless pushed from the outside. The pool needs to be resurfaced as there are chunks coming off. The phone mever worked in our entire 13 day stay, despite 3 request to fix it. We racked up some nice cell charges when booking tourist things? I know the house has been sold recently, and we will likely stay again if it sees some remodelling. It is close to the beach, although with two kids we'd be nuts to walk along a busy road with no sidewalks. Nice location, short drives to all things that we needed and wanted to see.

  We received both prompt and friendly service from Great Vacations --Linda Sylvester answered questions and was down to earth and knowledgeable about the Lei Ohana, the house that we rented. The location of the house was perfect, spacious for out family of 9, and so wonderfully close to Poipu Beach. We liked the house--the kitchen was easy to work in, BBq grill was nice to use, 3 bathrooms and bedrooms gave us privacy and yet we could get together in the open and bright family area. The dining area was a little dark and could have used a brighter lighting arrangement. One of the best things about the house was the location--so close, yet quiet and on the end of a cul-de-sac. My family would go back in a heartbeat!

  We rented the main house and the cottage was used by my mom and her husband. The main house is a great size, especially since it was just for two adults and two small kids. It could easily house 6 people (in 3 bedrooms). The house is kid-safe and we did not use a baby gate. The only safety issue might be the sliding glass doors to the pool area, so we left them closed often. The kitchen was well-equipped by the rental agency and came with soap, coffee, spices and a few other items. The kitchen tools and dishes were handy. My only complaint, and one that is not obvious from photos or other reviews (here or on vrbo) is that the house needs some updating. The carpet looks 20-30 years old (I grew up with the exact same carpet, as my mom noticed when she saw it). The bathroom sinks and toilets could also be updated. Everything was cleaned well but are still pretty old. I don't expect furniture or fixtures to be new in vacation rentals but it was surprising to see, based on the rental price. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The washer/dryer was efficient and pretty new. It came in very handy when there for an extended stay. The cottage was a great price for the size and was in good shape. If we were traveling just as a family of four next time, we would probably not rent the main house again. It was a good value when renting the cottage as well. We stayed there in December and it was unusually windy during the entire trip (9 days). Since the pool is not heated, despite it being about 75 degrees outside, the pool was too cold to use. The location was in a great location in Poipu. We often walked to the beach (about 10 minutes' away) and everything else was only a short drive.

  This house was Home to our adult family gathering (4 couples) and was perfect for our stay. Separate, private bedrooms joined by common areas made it great for sharing the space. Everyone shared in cooking and spent group time readind, chatting, or watching movies. Beach is in walking distance, perfect access for snorkeling or sunning. Short day trips took us everywhere we wanted to see. Swimming pool made water and sun fun available for 88 year old Mom and for those seeking quick and easy relaxation

  Taking our whole family to Kauai for Thanksgiving was such a great idea that we are making it an annual tradition! Service was superb. We even mailed over a box of things for ourselves and they put it in the house for us. Amenities were beyond our expectation. A few minor things were not working (hot tub and outdoor TV) but everything else was over the top. Lots of room, tastefully furnished, an atrium bath in the master to die for (everyone wanted to try it at least once), fully furnished kitchen with all the gadgets you needed and more, friendly and helpful staff. It is a short walk, couple of minutes, to Brenneke's Beach, and everything you could want to do is in the area. We rode horses on the beach at CJM; we dined at the Hyatt; we went to the farmer's market and craft fair at Brenneke's, we snorkled and swam and the kids surfed and rode body boards at Shipwreck Beach and Brenneke's...all walkable distance. If you are a golfer, we are not, there is a first class course at the Hyatt too. Stores and shops abound from Brenneke's to Koloa including Poipu Shopping Center and the new center at the turn about. You lack for nothing! The Great Vacation Properties are fantastic.

  This is a great place to stay in Poipu. Close to many good restaurants, some within walking distance. Close to great beaches too. Comfortable beds, quiet surrounding and beautiful bird sounds made this a good choice for us.
