Luxury custom built gulf front home on Florida’s forgotten coast at Lanark Beach, built in 2005. Easy access using elevator, inside stairs or outside stairs. Enjoy your view of Alligator Point, Bird Island, Dog Island and St. George Island. Watch the dolphins, cranes, birds, fish and pelicans from your private dock, mooring, porch or directly from your living room/dining room. Lanark boat launch is 1 minute away and Carrabelle's public boat launch is 4 miles away.
This house has 2 separate rental units:
Dolphin Watch 1 is on the second floor. It has twelve gulf front windows, 1 glass sliding door and a lovely covered porch for your enjoyment. There are two bedrooms, 1 ½ baths, gourmet kitchen, adjoining dining room with large living area. All rooms have ceiling fans, central air & heat, hardwood or tile floors. Covered gulfside porch with seating area.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, walk-in closet, deluxe bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and toilet room. Second bedroom has queen size bed and ½ bath in hallway. Fully equipped laundry room. Gourmet kitchen includes all appliances, cookware, dishes and other necessities. Kitchen bar opens to dining room which seats 6 in front of beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Living area has comfortable sitting group with 37” flat screen TV, DVD, VCR, radio. Bedrooms have TV with DVD.
Dolphin Watch 2 is on the third floor. It has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, kitchenette, small living room and dining room. Two full bathrooms. Large covered porch overlooking Gulf of Mexico and barrier islands. This unit is ideal for 2-4 persons. The rates are lower for the smaller unit. It does not have a washer and dryer.

Public championship golf course-St.James Bay, Wakulla Springs State Park, Ochlocknee River State Park, Historic Apalachicola, lighthouses, WWII Museum, St. George Island, Mexico Beach, Panama City Beach, Tallahassee and more all within a short driving distance.

My new wife and I stayed in Dolphin Watch 1 - the larger of the two. It was very nice, quiet, and we had a great time there. The owner was a gentleman, very friendly, and helpful. The house was very clean, well equipped, and had a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. My wife and I cooked our meals while we were there, went ATVing, and just enjoyed each other and the quiet area. That was the first vacation I've had where I felt refreshed afterwords and ready to go back to work and to life. As for the property and house - they were great. However, if you are looking to things to do - the OHV riding area is very boring to ride in, there isn't much to do unless you go to Tallahassee (which we did), and you will have to drive quite a bit. But, for a quiet getaway with lots of outdoor preserves to walk around/boat in, this is a great place to go and explore. There were countless butterflies in the area - thousands. We came from the east coast of Florida, and it was a little strange having calm water and butterflies everywhere. Bring you insect repellent because there are more bugs than anywhere I've been in Florida (and I'm from Florida). Overall, awesome property. If you like the area - stay here!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We rented this entire home to celebrate my mother and father's birthday because it had an elevator and a boat dock. This is a beautiful home, clean, near the boat ramp, and has an amazing second story view. The owner rents out both floors seperately which is a little strange but I assume not everyone needs to rent both floors. The first floor has two BR's and the second floor has 3 BR's(website says there are only 2 but you can pay extra to use the 3rd BR) that are all locked off seperately. You will pay a la carte for using the BR's upstairs, this is strange. The owner also charges seperate fees for cleaning each floor even if you rent the whole house. I would suggest bringing your own towels because there aren't many on either floor. I would also suggest lugging your bed linens because the owner charges a fee in addition to the cleaning fee to wash any towels/linens after your stay or you may choose to spend hours washing/folding them yourself before you leave. The kitchen is poorly equipped, I was thankfuly we rented both floors because we had to borrow pots and pans from upstairs to make our meals. I even ended up running to the Family Dollar to buy bakeware because there was not one piece in the house. The website states the unit has a grill which we used one evening. When my security deposit was returned the owner deducted for cleaning the grill although the contract doesn't state we were supposed to clean it nor did he mention it when he dropped it off on the day of our arrival. Really unsure what the large cleaning fee covered since we had to wash all our linens and we left the house spotless (we even emptied all the trash and removed it from the house). I've stayed at this wonderful property several times. The bay views and gentle salt air breeze is very relaxing here. Birds of all kinds can be seen from deck. Fishing is great. The unit is super clean, furnished very nicely and comfortable. A/C is cold. Owner is helpful and good guy. This is the perfect place to stay on forgotton coast.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We traveled through here by motorhome and liked the beautiful, natural, quiet forgotten coast. We first purchased a small home then built this home in 2005 as our primary residence. Family additions required us to put this beautiful house on the rental market.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Watching dolphins, cranes, birds, pelicans and mullet jump. The sunrise and sunsets here are so beautiful and peaceful. Also, fishing off our private dock, boating, kayaking, spending the day at Dog Island are very nice benefits of this home and area. The boat launch at Lanark is only one minute away.
