We were extremely comfortable in this adorable house. The kitchen is large and has all you need, new applicances and even a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The location is great because it's not far from town - 20 min. walk and not much traffic so it's quiet. If you have a car you can get to Madaket Road and into town, Cliffside, etc. all easily. The backyard has a nice deck and grill to relax. We'll be back.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My Mom and fiance and I stayed here for a week in July and absolutely loved it. It was so peaceful and very quiet, a real escape. The house comfortably fits 4 and has a lovely back porch for grilling out or enjoying sunset cocktails. We'd rent it again in a second!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I originally helped my mother build the house back in 1990 and bought it from her several years back. I love Nantucket and have been visiting the island since 1953 (yes, this is a long time ago...) when we would rent for a week each simmer at the west end of the island.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have a wonderful deck in the back of the house that I built with one of my sons. The garden that surrounds it is filled with herbs and flowers. I cannot think of anything more peaceful than a summer morning, book and coffee in hand, sitting on the deck and hearing the birds at the feeder. All this and a short walk to town and beach. It really does not get much better.
