There is also a $100 booking fee via Homeaway.com billing you can pay using check, or Credit Card or Paypal.
I end up using that 100$ money toward cleaning when you leave.
Please note: The $100 is NONREFUNDABLE and is not deducted from the $1595 week rental amount.
$500 refundable security deposit DUE before or at same time as rental or you can approve credit card hold if damage, a $1 charge will be initiated to ascertain credit card is in good standing.
Up to 50% is due 2 weeks after booking to secure and confirm reservation and balance due 2 weeks prior to arrival date. Minimum 120 days cancellation for full refund if less 30-119 days notice will receive credit vouchers for future booking. Less than 30 days no refund period.
There is a $15 per night/per person fee for more than 8 guests regardless of age maximum charge is $250/week for up to 13 people or 5 extra persons equate to 50$/pp for a week. Our home have hosted 30 people but bring sleeping bags over 16 and you will be given breaks for extra people charges.
Dogs may be allowed for a fee and permission.
Small pets are under 20 pounds and cost is $10/day
Pets between 21-40 pounds $15/day or same as extra guests Larger dogs 20-30$ day depending on weight. Pet fees non-negotiable; we encourage people not to bring pets if possible.

My husband and I have been researching various options around the Midwest to take our extended family for a vacation and this place offers the entire package!
We are so glad we took the opportunity to visit and check this place out for a weekend. We feel as though we stumbled upon one of Iowa’s Best Kept Secrets in Vacation Spots.
The Log Home is Amazing – The views are Amazing – the feeling one gets to think about returning for future visits is amazing.

This home is a lovely place to spend time. The view is fantastic and the home welcoming. Our family, minus one son and plus one future daughter-in-law, spent a week laughing, eating, swimming and laughing. The pontoon was a great addition and there was lots of space in the house to spread out or congregate together. Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful home for our annual vacation!

The weather has been great this week. The home is beautiful. We have always liked the idea of a log constructed home. Who could ask for a better view every morning? I woke up the first morning at Dawn and had to a photo of first light from the downstairs hallway.
Having lived in Colorado for the last 27 years I've forgotten the joy of a warm lake.

Thank you so much for the wonderful week! We brought our boat and had it tied to the dock all week. We had the lake to ourselves for the entire week – not only did we rent the house, but we had our own private lake. All five of our children found something fun to do everyday! The accomodations are first rate (the photos are representative of what you get). Tons of room, nice decor and furnishings. It is a bit off the beaten path - which can be good or bad (you have to drive a bit to get anywhere and be prepared for dusty gravel roads), but if you plan ahead and are planning to spend most of your time at the lake - you've got everything you need.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented the property for a couples weekend away and enjoyed every minute. The house was just as nice as the house described and if I had any questions or concernes the owner was quick to respond and always made sure we had what we needed. I am definitely wanting to return in the summer with the kids and enjoy the lake more! Was a little tricky to find but that is also one of the nice things about the property. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends. Instead of buying Christmas gifts for our grown families we've begun taking them on 'mini vacations'. This includes five families with ten adults and eleven children (and an old fat dog). We had stayed in hotels before but wanted to try a get-away that would let us all stay in the same home. We saw this home on VRBO and decided to give it a try. We were blown away by this lovely home-it exceeded our expectations in every way! The views of the lake are spectacular and the home is a comfy beauty with amazing log wood construction. There was plenty of room for all with an area downstairs that was perfect for the kids to hang out. We laughed and talked and watched the kids play in the sand and ate-we did nothing but enjoy each other's company. A great vacation was had by all! We wanted to give the kids a gift of memories for Christmas-instead, they gave it to us. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cabin was the perfect size to host my group of 20. It was spacious enough where you never felt on top of one another, but it was small enough where we were still able to interact. Beautiful view, and really a great space overall.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was perfect. We rented it for a place for my family to spend the weekend and have an 80th birthday party for my Dad. It could not have worked out better. We will be back. We had 60 people show up for the party Saturday and had plenty of room. The only complaint we had was it is hard to find but that is also what also makes it nice.Did you find this review helpful? This is what are family did for Christmas and it was awsome!! The house was REALLY cool and the lake was really fun! We just took it easy and sat around and read books, and the lake was frozen over nice so we took our ice skates and spent a lot of time skating. That was cool! For the last 4 years, my husband & I have taken our children and grandchildren away for a weekend as our Christmas gift to them. They love log cabins! We are limited because we have so many of us and need a fully equipped kitchen, as we cook our own meals. This was it! Close to home, meaning not a lot of time spend traveling, nor a lot of gas... log cabin in the a wooded area, near the lake. The kids loved skating on the ice, since there was not anything for snow left... we played inside games, spent our time together, and enjoyed our weekend! there is enough room for all of us, and yet there is room to get off to yourself when you're needing a breather... so comfy and very beautiful! The views are great! you could come here, any season, any month, and find it peaceful and beautiful! what a way to recharge one's soul! We had a great 5 days aat this beautiful cabin. It far exceeded all our expectations. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of 18 to sprawl. I can't wait for another visit!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time at your cabin - it was everything your advertisement claimed. The weather was too cold to enjoy the lake at all, but the view from the cabin was fantastic. We will definitely plan another trip there with our whole family. We had all our kids and grandkids together and had plenty of room. The kitchen was really well stocked and with 4 cooks at a time in there, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to feed your own crew there. We were so comfortable for the 4 days we were there that we didn't end up going into the nearby attractions at all. We did appreciate the closeness of a grocery store though as we did have to make a couple of runs. All in all, this place is great - try it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
