We stayed here June 2010, the 2 stars are for the view. The bedrooms are very small. Only 1 of the bedrooms has a closet. The 3rd bedroom is a joke, if you really dislike your mother-in-law then give her the 3rd bedroom, which is actually an old porch/ laundry room with no air condtioning. If it rains mom in law will be sleeping in a damp bed. We went the last 3 days without hot water, had to go to my moms and the tennis club to take our showers. We also had the toilets and drains back up in to the house after it rained. The owners are very nice and did send roto rooter out to fix the drains. We called about the lack of hot water and they said we needed to go into the basement to repair the problem. Tried to do that but the spider webs were enormous and the dirt floor was creepy no one wanted to walk through them, decided we would rather live without hot water. The furniture is old and worn. The beds are uncomfortable. The owners had cleaned the day we moved in, I cleaned for 3 more days after arriving and it still was not very clean. We told the kids to pretend you are camping and over look the dirt. Both back and front door wood steps are not super sturdy and there is not a decent path for elderly parents to safely enter the home. Deck furniture was all falling apart we were afraid to have anyone sit on it. The view is spectacular and easy access to the beach across the street.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

What a view!!!! Amazing sunsets right off the deck. Centrally located to everything. If you want the Ritz this is not for you but if you want privacy and a good time check availability. We will definitely go back and bring family next time. If you like to visit wineries, there are at least 10 near St Joseph. The town is in walking distance and a car really wasn't necessary. Thanks for a GREAT week.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1993
About the owner: We have been doing seasonal rentals since for over 20 years! We have also traveled to bed & breakfasts, inns and rental homes throughout 49 states and we have used our lodging experiences to hopefully make your stay more pleasurable.
Why the Owner Chose St. Joseph:
We chose Silver Beach because it is where my grandparents used to vacation in the early part of the 1900s. As a child my parents also brought me to Silver Beach Amusement Park and I cherish the fond memories I have of this area.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
The very unique benefit is that we relax. In the warm months, we sit on the deck and watch the waves, the weather and the people! In the cold months, we sit and relax and just watch the beautiful cinema of sky and water that is ever changing.
