  My wife and I rented this house for three months...January through March. It was our first time renting anywhere in Florida and we were looking forward to being there and visiting friends and relatives in the area. We found Melbourne and the Space Coast to be a great place to spend the winter. The people there were friendly, activities numerous, the beaches beautiful and golf inexpensive and plentiful. Even the weather was better this winter than we were told to expect and we definitely plan to return to that area in the future. Unfortunately, we learned a hard lesson in this particular case. We will never rent a property sight unseen again! This property is in very poor condition. It would appear that there has been no attempt to improve or maintain the property since it was purchased several years ago. The furnishings are old and damaged. The pool area is terribly rundown and dirty. For example, the barbecue grill was unusable, rusted out and unsafe. We demanded and got a new grill after a two week wait. The screening around the pool is ripped and loose. We rarely used the pool area because it was just not comfortable. I spent time repairing many items, i.e. window screens and broken door panels on the screen doors...we bought new cookware, utensils, sheets, towels, etc. which we left behind. There is no question that these owners need to have a local manager or at least spend more of their own time involved with their property. I strongly recommend that anyone considering renting this property take the time to investigate and tour the same.

We did everything possible to cater to the incessant demands of this couple, who never stopped complaining about nothing,(no rocks glasses and coffee cups were not to their liking)...called us even about the weather! Of the 47 requests I got for the winter months, I so regret choosing this couple, who turned into a nightmare for us, we've never had anyone stay who has not been totally happy.Please read other review from 3 year return renters! I hope that people can read between the lines here and realize that if any of this were true, these people would not have voluntarily stayed month to month for three months. He neglected to mention that the grill "didn't work" because the ignitor switch had burned out, grill was 2 years old but we ordered and delivered a brand new one within one week, additionally they purchased $400 worth of items for their own use, without our permission and then deducted it from the rent, and claim they left these items at our home, not true.   We are "snowbirds" and had the pleasure of renting this lovley home for 3 consequitive seasons. This home was perfect as it is extremely close to Historic Downtown Melbourne, Melbourne Beaches and also a ton of great golf courses. It's also only one hour from Disney/Theme parks and the Outlet Malls, so we saved a ton of money by just going into Orlando for the day. The house is well maintained, the pool has great morning and afternoon sun, and the house is fully loaded with tv's, comfortables beds, great appliances and kitchen equipment. Bathrooms are large and the one of the pool is great for guests or grandchildren! I would highly recommend this home as it is located on one of the quietest streets in Melbourne with no neighbours behind you, it is a totally private backyard! We enjoyed this area so much so that we settled down a few blocks away!!! This is a definate winner and will not disappoint, we highly recommend this home.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
