This recently purchased home has been remodeled to include hardwood floors, brand new appliances and beautiful new furnishings. No detail was overlooked in this well appointed vacation rental. Views of the 1st hole of Seascape Golf links can be enjoyed from the front of the house, while the back offers sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean from the second and third floor balconies. This is a SUNDAY TO SUNDAY rental.
Upon entry on the ground level, there is a huge master king suite with sitting area that includes a pull out sleeper sofa and built in media console. This room spans the entire left side of the house. A full size bathroom is adjacent. The right side of the downstairs is a giant game room equipped with pool table, foosball table, a full size stainless steel refrigerator, generous leather sofa, overstuffed chair, leather ottoman, and large built-ins housing a 40" flatscreen, blue ray player, and Bose ipod dock. This room accesses the pool deck area and large back yard where cornhole boards, a very large pool, two barbeque grills, and an outside private shower are located. This area has a privacy wall-not fence-enclosing it.
On the second floor, there is also a front door, with large porch furnished with two benches. The right side of the hall hosts two master suites with full baths, and queen beds. One queen master has access to the large back balcony where 6 custom built adirondacks beckon you to sit and enjoy the sweeping blue horizon view. The left side of the second floor has two bedrooms that share a jack and jill bath with a bathtub. The front room is furnished with a pyramid bunk (full size mattress on bottom, single on top). The back bedroom has a queen bed and access to the balcony. All bedrooms on this floor have flatscreen tvs with DVD players and cable. The washer and dryer are located on this floor as well.
The top floor is elegantly appointed with navajo butter leather sofas, rattan chairs, and lovely red coffee and end tables. There is a beautiful gaming table that provides poker, backgammon, chess, and checkers. A spacious wet bar stores all of the amenities needed for the savvy bartender. Diners have the option of a formal table that seats 8, a bay window kitchen table that seats 4, or a bar that seats 3. The kitchen has two dishwashers, all brand new stainless appliances, including refrigerator with ice maker, and every possible amenity for those who love to cook, even on vacation.
There is a 40" flat screen, gas fireplace, blueray player and Bose Ipod dock in the living area. This floor also has a powder room, huge balcony with two large tables/chairs and adirondack chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view. The 6th bedroom, located on this floor, is a king master suite with large bathroom, two walk in closets, a flat screen, and dvd player. All mattresses are brand new pillowtops, with hypoallergenic pillows.
Linens are not provided, but can be ordered through Ocean Atlantic Rentals.

This home is beautiful and well equipped. Everything you need for cooking small or large meals. Very comfortable atmosphere with plenty of room. Everything that is listed in the description is accurate and the property is clean and well maintained. I would recommend anyone to stay at this house and enjoy all it has to offer.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is beautiful. Had all the amenities we could ask for. Kitchen was large and two dishwashers did the trick. Spent lots of time in the pool as well as the game room. If you have a large group this house is perfect for you. Only downfall for the week was all the stickers in the grass. :) We will be renting again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

I would defiantly recommend this house as a place to stay. The ad and pictures were very true to what was awaiting us. This house was by far the nicest, cleanist, most convenient beach house that we have stayed in. The owner has defiantly set the bar high for any other house to compare. My only complaint would be that we did not have enough time to stay longer. We hope this house is available for our next trip to OBX.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

House was exactly as advertised. Couldn't have ask for anything more. Furnishings were very nice... better than what you expect to see in a rental home. Kitchen was extremely well equipped... everything we needed was there. Living area was large enough to accomate all guest. Bedrooms were very nice as well... it was great having enough bathrooms so everyone could get ready at the same time. House was clean and ready for us upon our arrival. Pool and Game Room areas were very nice. There was enough things to do without having to leave the house if you didn't want. Location was great. Easy access to the beach and a short drive to any where you wanted to go on the OBX. Owner was very helpful to address any questions or concerns we had. Was very quick to respond to our inquiries. Would highly recommend this house to other vacationers and would certainly use it again myself.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We didn't have the best weather this week, so that is where you really appreciate all this house house to offer!! When we arrived the house was very clean, which we were very thankful for! The kitchen was stocked nicely with everything we needed. I missed having 2 dishwashers when we got back home! There was privacy for all the families and a bathroom for everyone!! The game room was great and the pool was amazing!! Since the weather wasn't great, it was nice to have a pool right there so we could swim anytime!! I hope we get to go back someday:)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My Family just spent a glorious week at this property. The owner was extremely responsive when addressing a problem. The photos depict the house exactly! This property was the cleanest one we ever rented in five years. The location is great; bike rental right up the street and bike trails all around the house. The bike rental is extremely reasonable. Also did a wave runner tour with Kitty Hawk Kites -- recommend them for a great time on the water. I would definitely recommend this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent a very enjoyable week at Blue Horizon. It was by far the cleanest and most well stocked house we have ever rented. Everything there was in fabulous condition. The outdoor furniture and pool furniture seemed brand new with plenty of both. The location was perfect not only for getting on and off the island but as well as touring about the island. Having the golf course right next door was perfect. Our family would strongly recommend Blue Horizon to anyone looking for a PERFECT rental home in the Outer Banks! Fabulous house! Not so great weather the first two days, but the last two days were great. We all had fun hanging out and going shopping. Some went surfing, but the water was too cold for most of us. We especially loved the third floor which was where the beautiful kitchen was and the game table. I'm surprised we didn't wear it out. The third floor easily handled having everyone for Easter dinner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am a mother of three boys (twins 21 and an 18 year old) and a beautiful English Golden Retriever named Irie. Married for 23 years, I have been teaching sixth grade English in Virginia Beach for twenty years. As my boys are growing up, and I have some time off in the summer, I have recently decided to start transitioning into the vacation industry and have acquired several Outer Banks properties. My hobbies are reading, entertaining, and southern cooking!
