  This was my first stay at a VRBO property. I made arrangements and was told by the Assistant Property Manager that the Unit would be available early in the morning as my sister was flying in from Santa Fe ahead of when I would arrive by car. She arrived and a man answered the door. Said he was waiting for another Unit to be ready and would not be out until around noon. My sister was stranded with her luggage with no where to go. When we finally got into the unit around 2:00 p.m., the first thing we observed was a dirty towel with hair hanging in the bathroom. There were not enough bath towels, paper towels and no hangers in the closet or iron/ironing board. Yes, the unit was upgraded in some aspects. But there were dowels in the windows because they didn't have locks. The linen in the hide-a-bed was so bad we could not use it. The drains in the sink and bathtub would not drain for hours. I will say that the owner did try to make things right. He went out and left a bag of newly purchased towels, paper towels, kleenex and hangers at our doorstep. He later went out and bought an iron and ironing boad. Truthfully, if it weren't for the deposit, we would have found another place to stay. The only positive thing I can say is the ocean view. But the rest, including the exterior, was a disaster and a complete disappointment.

We strive to make our residents happy with the apartments they are in. We feel they should be comfortable and at home and enjoy the great surrounding of the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. Our place is considered the best location and the best condition of any that I am aware of. We obviously got off to a bad start with this individual, but I personally replied to every request that was made and was unaware of any other problems, or I would have done my absolute best to satisfy her. The unit she was in was recently remodeled with wood floors and granite counter tops. Everything is like new. The ocean view from here is outstanding. We strive to offer great service, but realize every one's expectations are different. We feel our place provides a better environment than any other place in town....including the hotels! We provide a wonderful place to live, both for short term stays and for years! In fact one of our residents has been at this location for 18 years, and we have several more that have been here for more than 10! I know I made every effort to make her stay here enjoyable....I am so sorry she did not sense that. Sincerely, John Whitehurst Channel View Property Owner

  I was happy to arrive and have easy wheelchair access to my unit. I enjoyed my time staying with these folks. They were accommodating, very customer service oriented and went above and beyond to assist me get everything I needed, including a weekly house cleaner and a woman to run errands for me. I don't know when the last time was that I had such an easy vacation. Thank you.

  I would love to recommend Channel View for any romantic getaway. It was peaceful, tranquil and had amazing ocean views within walking distance to anything and everything you could ever require. It made our special V-day that much better. I can't say enough and will be back next year with my hubby for some much needed R&R!

  I am a visiting professor here for 6 mo. and am *highly* impressed with the cleanliness, tranquility and friendliness of this accommodation. Anytime I have a question, I am always greeted with immediate response and a friendly smile and have had all of my expectations met and in some cases exceeded. I would recommend this to anyone who is traveling here for work or pleasure and the location is so ideal that one doesn't even need a vehicle! 5 stars all the way!

  I was scheduled to stay in this condo for 5 weeks due to work in Santa Barbara. I arrived to a dirty condo. I had to make other sleeping arrangements for the evening. Once I got into the condo the linens, bathroom and living room were covered in an inappropriate white substance. I tried to get out of the lease even if I would lose my deposit but the owner was completely unwilling to budge. I would not recommend this property or company at all.

  I came here to visit schools with my son who is getting ready to go into college and was very impressed with this rental. I was on a very tight budget and didn't have a lot of wiggle room and the Owner's worked with me to accommodate me and ensure I wasn't wasting $ on expenses while here. Everyone here were very friendly and my son even met a professor who was renting long-term and was able to find out more about one of the colleges he was interested in attending! Not to mention, the Owner is a well-known Realtor in town and was able to assist with initial conversations of possible buying a small home here. Needless to say, the experience was GREAT and I would recommend this place to anyone who is needing something affordable, clean and service oriented. They'll even arrange for a weekly cleaning service to come in and someone to pick up your groceries! :)

  My husband and I came to SB for a romantic getaway without a car and we found this to be the *ideal* location for a vacation. We walked everywhere! Beach, grocers, post office, large grassy park that went on for miles...it was fabulous! The unit was also nicely appointed. Clean, beautiful furnishings and modern. We really had no troubles. Kimberly who manages the property was a doll and was available as the Owner of a local Concierge business to set up romantic outings for us and recommend wonderful restaurants. It was truly and unforgettable vacation.

  I stayed in one of these immaculate rentals while on a work assignment for 2 months time. It was a beautiful place! Quiet, nicely furnished and CLEAN. The management was also very helpful and were quick to address any questions I had. I will definitely stay here again and am recommending it to all of my friends who need a little R&R. :) Thank you!
