Plymouth house description

Love the serene environment that this home provides. Work just 5 miles away and when I return to my home it is like being up in NH on a private lake. Being so close to historic Plymouth, its rich culture is just around the corner. Summertime on the harbor is such a treat. Everything from Plymouth Plantation to the Mayflower is such a gift. Some of the most beautiful beaches and golf courses are right here in our own backyard.

This home is fully equipped with all the amenities one would need for a fun filled week on the water. Two bedrooms, one with king bed with sliders to deck overlooking the water. Second bedroom has twin beds. A small office/sitting room is located off the dining area. All rooms have T.V.s. Fully equipped kitchen with dining area has sliders to deck overlooking the water. Lower level family room with sectional sofa, T.V., another dining area as well as a sleeping loft. Sliders open to the expansive back yard, impeccably landscaped with fruit trees and perennial gardens. The home boasts two recently updated bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub.

Keywords: Tranquil, serene lakefront property. Great swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. No motorboats . Private beach with firepit on this gem!

PERFECT is the word to describe this property. Comfortable house with lovely views of the pond just steps from the deck. The grounds are beautiful and private. The water is crystal clear, good for swimming and fishing, and there is a double kayak and paddle boat for your use. Sandy beach area is great for sitting around the firepit in the evening. Try the outdoor, hot water, private shower--it's great. The location is convenient to all Plymouth & Cape attractions but you might want to just sit back and relax at this tranquil spot. Barry is a great host who takes pride in his property and it shows! We have booked for next year already!

The house is beautiful. The yard is fantastic. The pond is serene and very clean. My husband fished everyday. Barry has fishing pole and a tackle box. The paddle boat and kayak were wonderful. After a busy day of sight seeing it was so nice to come home to the peaceful cottage every day. We took the bus to Boston (at Barry's recommendation). Best way to get there! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation spot that feels like home, you will love this cottage.

My family just returned from a great vacation in Plymouth. The house was clean and well-maintained. It was very comfortable for our family and our visitors. We enjoyed waking up to the view every morning. The owner was friendly and responsive. The house and yard were safe for our 3 year old daughter. We loved the beach, boats and floating dock. The waterfront location made it very easy to entertain the kids. We hope to vacation here again next year!

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler and had a great time. My brother, sister-in-law, and extended family also came to visit with us here and they all had nothing but compliments for the place. We used the kitchen, BBQ, fire pit, canoe, and paddle boats. We would even swim across the pond every day for exercise. Every morning my husband and I had some alone time on the deck drinking our coffee and enjoying the beautiful view of the pond. Our toddler really enjoyed the house, deck, and grass yard as well. We felt the house and yard was very safe for our 14 month old.

Having arrived at Logan Airport from the UK we found the journey to Plymouth fairly easy thanks to Sat Nav which is a must for getting around. We had an idea from the website of what to expect from the house but when we arrived it blew us away! The view across the lake is breathtaking and the facilities fantastic. The house was immaculate and very comfortable to return to after a tiring day sight-seeing! Barry was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble, even providing Smores for the chimnea! We spent 2 weeks vacation here and found it an ideal base to mix adventure with relaxing, we easily could have stayed another week. The boats Barrry provided for the lake were brilliant fun and made our holiday - something other rentals didn't offer. We loved Boston (baseball, shopping Newbury St, Quincy Market a must!), exploring Cape Cod(Driving up to P/Town, JFK Museum in Hyannis, Cape Cod Mall) , a day trip to Mystic CT (Aquarium, Old Mystic Shoppes) and still time for the Premium Outlets at Wareham (40 miles away but well worth it!!). Plymouth is about 15 mins drive and has great restaurants (Mama Mia's, Crabby Shack). We must recommend British Beer Co restaurant for food and Marylou's for morning coffee, both are near the supermarket in Cedarville (10 Mins drive). We all agreed this was one of the best family holidays we've ever had and have taken home some wonderful memories, thank you Barry!

My wife and I (with my in-laws) spent 6 days in Barry's lakefront home and loved it. The property is very clean and tranquil. We came out to visit the Boston area and wanted a central location we could stay in order to visit Boston, Cape Cod, and down into Newport Rhode Island. This house was perfect. It's about an hour to an hour and a half away from all of the above destinations. I wish we had realized what we were getting when we booked here, because if we had known all the fun activities that we had at our disposal we would have planned more time to just relax at the lake house. *Fire Pit *Horse shoes *Paddle boat *Row boat *Fishing poles The only con I could really say is that the second bed downstairs doesn't provide much privacy. The house sleeps six, but it's probably better for a family of six rather than two couples. This house would be absolutely perfect for a couple and three to four kids. With that said, if we ever come back out to MA, we would definitely love to stay at Barry's Lakefront home once again.

We had a wonderful family vacation here. Barry was great to deal with. He takes great pride in this home, and it shows. My two grandsons had so much fun catching bass, pickerel, and even sun fish. We would sit and watch the fish jump. It's a great pond to swim in too. We sat around the fire at night. It was so relaxing. We enjoyed all the sites in Plymouth, and still had time to enjoy this Little bit of Paradise.

We had such a wonderful time at this house on the lake. Even though the weather was chilly and rainy we managed to get in plenty of fishing, boating and relaxing. One of the best parts of renting this home was the homeowner Barry. Barry is easy to work with and takes excellent care of the home. The paddle boat and row boat were a huge hit with our two boys. We ventured into Plymouth and enjoyed Plymouth Plantation(an absolute must), the Mayflower II and a whale watch with Captain John boats. We took a trip into Boston too. We enjoyed the sights in the city and a Red Sox game at Fenway. Boston is only about 45 min away and an easy drive. The home itself was equipped with everything we needed. It was very quiet and relaxing. We will never forget our wonderful getaway at this lake house in Pymouth, MA.

My wife, 17 year old daughter and myself stayed here recently at the end of a month tour around the US from the UK. Where do I start about this gorgeous little bit of heaven. Possibly sitting on the little beach in the evening baking marshmallows over the chimenea, floating on the natural spring lake on the provided rowing boat or pedal boat. Maybe cooking steaks on the Webber BBQ whilst listening to the birds and squirrels in the forest or even fishing. My daughter would say sunbathing on the floating pontoon was the best. This house is stunning and this is reflected in the warm reception from the owner, Barry, when we first met. He maintains the property to the highest of standards and is so helpful. If there is any problems he gets it sorted out quickly. It is about 10 mins from a huge Shaw supermarket and about 20 mins from Plymouth Harbour where we had the best Whalewatching experience with Capt John's. The harbour grill that Barry reccommended in Plymouth is lovely as is Jetties for a coffee and breakfast roll in the morning. The best sandwiches in the world. The location of the house is perfect for getting around Mass. and if you like golf then there are plenty of courses near the house. We had the best time ever and will be booking our return in the future. We love the house and we look forward to seeing you soon Barry. Thank you for the most perfect perfect time.

Charming home filled with all the equipment necessary for a fun-filled vacation. The photos do not do it justice! Each morning we would enjoy coffee on the deck overlooking the well manicured lawn & pond. Such tranquility! Afterwards we would sometimes go the short distance to the canal for wonderful walks(or biking) along the water. Other days were spent exploring all the wonderful sites that Plymouth has to offer. Too hot?? Spend the day floating in the pond or take the kids out on the paddleboat. And of course, what better way to end the day than toasting marshmallows on the beach! I can't wait to get back to this little bit of paradise!
