Utila house description
Escape to paradise at the Lavender House. A beautifully constructed beachfront home located at the south shore of Utila at Treasure Beach.
CNN recently named Utila one of the '15 Best Islands You've Never Heard Of' (July 7, 2013)'
Located just 3 miles from Utilatown, and ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT, a getaway to the Lavender House is the perfect answer for newlyweds and couples wanting quiet and privacy or for friends and families seeking to revitalize and just spend some time together.
The spacious front porch has beautiful views of the beach, ocean, Utila Cays and the mainland mountains on the horizon, and is appointed with relaxing deck furniture and a 6-person dining table.
The top floor features a comfortable living room and top-of-the-line, fully-equipped kitchen. The expansive master suite has a luxurious king-sized bed with built-in night stands, two walk-in closets and an office nook. The beautiful bathroom features a couples shower, and his and hers sink and vanity.
The lower floor has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closet. They share an equally impressive bathroom. The lower floor also features a separate entrance and a shared space/kitchenette with small refrigerator.
The Lavender House is attractively furnished, and all kitchenware, linens, towels, and beach towels are provided. Beautiful wood cabinetry, walls and flooring gives this lovely beach home a rustic appeal. The top porch is ideal for drifting away, and the two outside staircases feature benched landings, delightful for curling up with a good book.
There is also an upper deck at the dock for sunbathing and stargazing; or just waiting for the perfect sunset.
Diving, fishing and many other activities can easily be arranged.
Our 24 hour concierge team can take you to the Utila Cays or to Utilatown for shopping or dining. He will even bring you fresh seafood.
The snorkeling just in front of the house is breath-taking.
The Lavender House comfortably accommodates up to six adults. Through arrangements with nearby property owners, we can accommodate groups of up to 20 people.
We also provide a provisioning service so you can arrive to a fully stocked house.
Rental includes one pick-up of all guests from their point of arrival in Utilatown, and one return-trip to your point of departure. Additional trips can be arranged through your concierge team.
If you are looking for peace, quiet, relaxation and escape from the hustle and bustle of a big tourist destination, then we can honestly say, 'This must be the place.'

As a pro builder I was amazed at the quality of the home, the Treasure Beach subdivision and the sunsets, beach, docks were superbly built and well maintained .The custom details are truly amazing in the home.Very romantic place...The beach and the REEF are World Class.Really -you can literally dive the reef 100 ft off the beach there and be totally satisfied.Trish and Dave are there when you need them and respectful of your privacy when not needed..Very pleasurable experience and well book again next year.Waether was perfect..Sand flies were not bad at all..girlfriend got bit ..I didnt..We had aprivate chef one night for dinnere on the lanai.Highly recommend Peter for your romantic evening meal...

Picture postcard perfect
Picture postcard perfect
My wife and two college-aged sons and I spent three nights at Lavender House. The house was much more than we expected as the upstairs was spacious, especially the master bedroom. There were two bedrooms downstairs so each of us had all the privacy we needed. The house is right on the beach and the views from the front porch looking out at the palm trees and beautiful ocean could come from a postcard. We spent a lot of our time in the water snorkeling. The house has a pier shared by the three houses in the area. The pier has an upper level where you can look around or lay out in the sun as well as the lower level. From the lower level, all you have to do is get into the water and you are surrounded by coral reefs with all kinds of fish. You do not need to take a boat ride anywhere to get to great snorkeling. A by-product of the great reef is that the beach is not as much of a play-in-the-sand type of beach because the coral comes right up to the shore in most areas. Dave and Trish were wonderful hosts and picked us up from the ferry when we arrived and took us back when we left. They also helped us with any other needs we had while we were there. One of the nights we were there, a boat came and picked us up and took us to a quaint French restaurant that was only accessible by boat. We had a lovely meal there. The weather was very nice for us while we were there. There were quite a few no-see-ums while we were there and my wife and I received lots of bites while our children didn't really get any. Keeping insect repellent on while not in the water would be my advice. The internet was also somewhat intermittent, but we were able to check email every day. Overall, I would highly recommend Lavender House to anyone looking for a quiet tropical paradise vacation.

Family Trip in Paradise
Family Trip in Paradise
We had a group of ten friends and family and stayed in both the Coral House and the Lavender house. It was one of the best trips I have ever been on and we travel ALOT. The houses are both beautiful, comfortable, right next door to each other and located in paradise. We had plenty of room for everyone. Dave and Trish were awesome, helpful, and fun to get to know. The reef provides for endless hours of snorkeling. The dock was a great place to sit, talk and drink! We had an absolutley perfect trip. I have already recommended the houses to a co worker. Keep in mind you will not be walking to town. This is for a trip to truly relax, enjoy where you are and who you are with. Wonderful!!

Out of this World!!
Out of this World!!
Lavendar house was awesome. The house was perfect, reef is maybe 50 feet from your door step and the views are amazing. Easily accessible from town but far enough away to feel secluded. The best fish we have ever had. Blue fin tuna and yellow tail snapper can been had everyday, and you can even pick it up yourself on a 5 minute trip with a kayak. I can't say enough about this place....... just get to Utila fast!! You wont regret it.
