Beautiful log/stone country retreat home in the heart of collingwood and area four season playground.
Imagine kicking back on our wraparound porch with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes or one of the many local golf courses. Enjoy the outdoor 6 person jacuzzi to complete your day!
Beautiful view of the Blue mountains from all main rooms. The large rustic master bedroom has French doors that take you out to a small private balcony, and also has its own private clawfoot tub to relax in and enjoy a good book. Also on the upper level is a three piece bath, laundry room/closet, and a loft which has a single bed, two leather couches and electric FP, 36 in television.
The main level boasts a large great room with a georgous fieldstone gas fireplace and full windows, hardwood floor with cowhide rug.
The huge log dining/kitchen area has a heated slate floor, many full windows with porch/deck which are accessed through French and patio doors.The breakfast bar is a great place to hang out and chat while the cook is preparing dinner. There are many antique features incorporated into the design. The large harvest dining table seats 8 comfortably.
Outside there are numerous country gardens with walkways, a vine covered bar and dining area, and 15 acres of orchard, field and young evergreens to enjoy.
Put on your snowshoes or cross-country skiis and take off from the back porch in the winter or get on your bike and ride on the trail next door to the water for a swim, Intrawest Village, or downtown to the farmer's market.--My licenced jeep is seldom used, it's just better outside!
We are only two hours from Toronto, so a day trip for shopping, to Wonderland or the Theatre is a nice change of pace.
There are many restauraunts in the area--the locals love " The Rock Dell" (not known by many tourists)--huge portions of excellent hungarian food, outstnding steaks. Intrawest Village has many shops and restaurants that attract many form around the world.

An amazing place even better than the pictures.Fabulous English gardens . Clean, comfortable, great decor . Very close to downtown yet in a very private setting. It really is straight out of Homes and Garden inside and out.. What a gem.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: We are an active soon- to -be -retired couple who love our area for all its beautiful scenery and activities. We have a lovely little Westie (Roxie) who loves to be with us wherever we go. Our two kids and 3 grandchildren live in the area and are a big part of our lives. They all love to come to visit at our house-the kids can run around without worrying about traffic. Grandpa takes them for ATV or tractor rides on the property here which they love.
Why the Owner Chose Collingwood:
We have lived here a long time because of the scenery and lifestyle.
