Beautifully restored 1850's beach house one block from Newport's dramatic Cliff Walk. Feel as if you've stepped into a 19th century beach house with its 10 foot ceilings, but with modern amenities. As you enter the house, left of the foyer on the first floor with its bathing suit display from the early 1900's, is the living room with a 50' plasma screen TV and home theater surround sound, down-filled sofas, wooden games and books for your relaxing pleasure. French doors lead from the living room to the large open kitchen. The newly renovated kitchen has an island and seating area for friends and family to pull up a stool and join in the conversation! The kitchen has a microwave, professional DCS gas stove, wine cooler, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes (both casual and formal Wedgwood), utensils, glasses and cookware. To the right of the foyer is the formal dining room. The dramatic red walls and original marble fireplace make the dining room a warm and inviting space.
2nd Floor House Layout: On the right is a large master suite with a queen size bed and two closets. A second bedroom has two twin beds. Both rooms on the right have separate doors that lead to the full bath with tub/shower.
To the left of the stairs is a second master suite with a queen size bed and sitting area with a 1.5 size chair that opens to a twin size bed. There is another room on the left with two twin size beds - both rooms with separate doors lead to another full size bathroom with a shower. There is off-street parking for 3 vehicles.
Arrangements can be made for a housekeeper, if desired.
