Comments from Guests in the guest book:
My wife and I came to this quiet and beautiful cottage very weary and in need of rest. We enjoyed leisurely days of reading, cooking, walking, going into Holland etc. The view from our deck was worth the entire trip. We both believe in a personal God who loves and cares for each of us. We believe that every good and perfect gift comes from him. We have been absolutely blessed by his gift of creation, solitude, time together, and this delightful place of refreshment. Our accommodations were perfect. Thanks and blessings.
My family and I came to this very nice cottage. We loved how nice and quiet it was. We loved how nice the beach access was. The sand was so nice and fine. Thank you for the very comfortable and nice it was to stay here. Page (9 years)
Thank you I loved the quiet time. I will always come here again. Preston (7 years)
Thank you for a lovely week. We could not have had a better time anywhere! The cottage and view was wonderful. We will never forget it. We hope to be here someday soon. The hike and beach access were a true treat! We wish you all much success in the future with your rental.

Sunita, Thank you for the use of your cottage. The timing was very good because my friend’s cancer has progressed so quickly that as of yesterday, my friend was put under hospice care. His wife was thankful for this time alone together although it was quite exhausting on her to take all the supplies needed for his care to this new place. They were able to take walks on the beach and they enjoyed the view of the sunsets from the deck. My heart is heavy, but they needed the solitude and a chance to let God speak to them in this quiet place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have enjoyed a relaxing week at the cottage. It was super with a great view and lots to do in the area. We followed many of your great suggestions. We also tried paddle boarding. We have lots of blueberries to take home. The cottage was cozy with lots of warm touches to make us comfortable. We hope to be back for another visit. Thank you.Did you find this review helpful? My family had a great time at this charming cottage on Lake Michigan. Spectacular views, easy access to the beach, Holland State Park and hiking trails are all big positives. This is ideal for a romantic getaway or a small family. The owner, Sunita met us on our first day, explained the surroundings, details around the state park etc. Extremely helpful! The description on the listing is accurate. The tv was really small, but that is one reason to not watch tv, if you are trying to get away from it all. The cottage was largely clean, except the carpets. They could use a good steam clean or perhaps replacement. All the amenities provided are adequate to cook, grill and relax. The patio is truly fantastic, with direct view of the lake and sunsets. They do have internet connection, which is spotty but works just fine. Downtown Holland is a 10 minute ride. There are excellent restaurants on 8th st. I would recommend New Holland Brewing, Curragh Irish Pub, Crains in the city and 8th St Grill. Don't miss the farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays in downtown Holland. Also, Tunnel Park is about a mile north of the cottage - can be reached through road or the beach. Well worth a stop. This is truly a "cottage", which means there is no central heat or air. On colder nights (especially during spring and early fall), it will be cold. There are some space heaters provided, but use them with caution. The owners have provided multiple electric blankets which are very helpful. I saw some reviews that this place is tricky to get to. We did not face any problems. It was very easy to get to and the directions are very clear.Owner response: Please read all the other reviews which are very positive. Carpet has been replaced with hardwood floors. I will put new pictures. Cottage does not have central air and heat but it does have electric base board heat and window AC units which is more than adequate for the size of the cottage. This information is in the guestbook. Thank you.

The Property Owner made the stay wonderful. She addressed telephone and internet problems at once. The accomodations are rustic--the setting divine---it is truly a "treehouse cottage"--The only qualification is that access to the cottage and to and from the beach may prove challenging for someone not physically fit. Area is great.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Sunita and family - We cannot thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. It was a welcome quiet retreat to reflect and take it easy for a week. We especially enjoyed the beach, the sunsets, watching the boats, and the close proximity to restaurants and other places of interest.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
