This quintessential double-walled adobe home is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street. The house has 3 large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and fireplace. The outdoor space has beautiful gardens and views to the mountains. Gaze at the stars while sitting outside in the gardens and you'll know why we named the home Casa Nova. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill on the historic east side. It's only a 10 to 15 minute walk to lower Canyon Road where the majority of Santa Fe's many art galleries are located.

This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room. The main dining room table seats 8 people comfortably and there are additional outdoor dining areas on the portal and in the garden.

You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas) and our adopted Thai homeland where I work as a geologist. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).

This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

Please see HomeAway listing #910740 for details and photos if you want to include the optional 2 bedroom Casita (sleeps 4).

This is a beautiful house with a magnificent view! You are blocks from the Square yet it feels like you are out of town. The house had all the accommodations you could ever want. We snuggled by the fire every night, s'mores in the fire pit and much more. It was a great place to spend Christmas. We had 2 families staying there and it was plenty of space. The master bedroom is a huge suite! We will be back!

We rented both the main house and the casita for a "girl’s trip" to Santa Fe. There were 8 of us all together and we never felt crowed. The house is beautifully appointed, with all the amenities (and more) of home. Each bedroom (except the queen in the casita) has its own bathroom (key for 8 women). The views from the back patios are gorgeous, and the setting is very relaxing. Canyon road and the Plaza are within walking distance. We all had a great time and the comfort of Casa Nova made our trip that much better! Thanks to the Wong’s for sharing this special place with us.

This is an outstanding home to rent--it is beautifully furnished and wonderfully laid out to have visitors--it is in an outstanding location at the end of a deadend road and the property has great views over forested land up to the mountains--it is also only a 1 mile walk to the central plaza--the photos on the website do not do it justice since it is much more spacious than you would think from just obseving the photos--each of the bedrooms in the main house has its own "wing" with a private bath--we also rented the casita which has an additional 2 bedrooms and is quite nice as a stand alone rental--we had 5 adults and 3 children visit at the same time and there was plenty of space to be together and alone--Scott the property manager was extremely responsive re minor events --if we returned to Santa Fe would definitely rent this property again

My family and I met our extended family at this house in Santa Fe. We rented both the main house and casita and there was plenty of space for everyone. This house is lovely, comfortable, and so well set up for a crowd. Great kitchen, great living room, plenty of outdoor space. We had a wonderful time, Thank you!

Owner response: Dear Family B, My own family has just arrived and I'll join them in a few days. Jane said that the new pillows we bought for the house are too firm and, even though you didn't mention it, I wanted you to know that we've bought down pillows for all the rooms as back-up just in case. The only thing I like better than sightseeing and hiking around Santa Fe is getting a good nights sleep there. Thank you for your review and we are very happy you enjoyed your stay.

As our family has grown larger and our schedules more hectic we decided to take what may be our last family vacation together. We wanted a place where we could relax, laugh and feel as if we were were "home". This beautiful place was the perfect spot to use as a base to see the sights of northern New Mexico and to just hang out as a family and share the experience. This home is wonderfully appointed, and has all of the creature comforts and then some. Use of the Casita gave us additional room to spread out and get a little privacy when necessary, and the grounds provided a chance to stretch out and enjoy the sun and the scenery. We cannot imagine a nicer place to stay anywhere in the area! Scott Wong and his lovely wife were helpful in answering our questions, and we were glad to have had a chance to get to know them a little. Great people!!!

Owner response: Dear Tom, Thanks for your review. It captures perfectly the reason we bought this home and we could not agree more with your opinion of Scott and Maika. They are the ones that make it a special place and understand the needs of our guests. Thanks for choosing our home and we hope to have you back again in years to come.

The house and yard were beautiful. The amenities were all top of the line. No detail was spared in this traditional yet modern adobe. We had a family reunion and rented the house and casita and it was perfect for us. We cooked in house almost every evening and our meals were fabulous, thanks to the top of the line stove, grill, dishwasher, and china and cutlery. The view from the rooms and back patios were inspiring. The historic district was within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. Less than a half mile is a bike rental shop and a boutique market that sells anyone's gourmet needs. My parents travel the world and stay in some of the nicest accommodations, but this was their favorite. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. You won't be disappointed.

Owner response: Dear Family D. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay, but at the same time I'll admit that you've made us all a bit homesick. I think we owe you a bit of money for the pet deposit; I'll check with Scott to confirm that he hasn't refunded you already. You left the house in great condition and we appreciate that very much. Thanks again and we look forward to your return next year! Roger and Jane

Our experience was excellent. The house and casita were beautiful just as was listed in the description. It was very large with very nice furnishings. Very clean! I certainly recommend this property. Very close to the square so shopping and dining close by. Nice area for cooking and eating outside as well.

I chose this property along w/the casita to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. We had 5 of his best friends from 40 years ago. They all started in the airline industry together and have gone their separate ways throughout the years but remained best of friends. It was a surprise and while we have all been together in various groups throughout the years, we have not all been in the same room for 30 years. It was a great surprise! The property is incredibly beautiful! The decorating - attention to detail and cleanliness were incredible. Every day was a new surprise of some special piece of art or antique. Everyone fell in love w/the house and casita. It was very comfortable and felt very much like home. I would highly reccomend this property and will return in the future.

Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We are doing our best to make our home as comfortable and accommodating as it can be and are pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay. Jane and Roger
