Owner Description

Hello. To tell you a little bit about ourselves - we are both Physician Assistants and love to travel. A trip to Grand Bahama convinced us that this was a place we would love to return to time and time again and decided to invest in a vacation property there. After looking at more properties than I care to remember we found Grafton Court and know it was the perfect second home. We have spent a lot of time making it a home, adding many personal items that most vacation rentals don't have. It is truly our second home, a home-away-from-home.
Why the Owner Chose Freeport
We love the sun and the beach and the slow pace of the Island and the wonderful people there. It's a short plane flight so we can be there in no time.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
It's just so nice to land, pick up a car and "go home." The only thing we need to do is pick up some food and we're set. No checking in or out. We know the Island and where to go to get what we need, which are our favorite beaches. But there's always more exploring to do. It's always the same, yet ever changing.

Gretchen, I just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks ! Linda and I had a great time. Lots of sun, lots of good food and lots of beer. We left 11 beers in the fridge for Sarah or whoever is to follow. We bought a case of Kalik beer and just couldn't drink it all in that short of time, with margaritas on the menu as well. Thank you so much for the conch shell with our anniversary painting on it. What a great idea ! It will be our most treasured momento of our trip. Restaurants - La Med - We went there on Good Friday . The food was very good. Linda had fish fingers that were excellent, I had the Gyro platter - it was very well done and very tastey. Tony Macaroni's on the beach - Not that good, and pretty pricey for what you got. Roast Conch was not to our liking, but the shrimp was ok. The music is C+ and the people are B+ friendly. It was still fun. Stoned Crab - on the beach, Ambiance B+, service A, food quality B - we had fish lobster crab, platter pretty pricey but worth it. The soup was seafood bisque A+ on that one. Total bill for the two of us $64.00 Snorkeling at Deadmans reef in paradise cove on the west end was really pretty cool. We brought our snorkeling stuff but they rent it there as well as wet suits, life jackets, and kayaks. $3.00 fee to use the beach per person, it was worth the fee and the drive. I went back out for a second dive and ran into a 7 foot spotted ray. That was so cool, it was huge ! Out to the national park - tide was out and going out, lots of white beach showing. very private place for a picnic. Snorkeling again, a few shells and lots of up and down wavy currents. Waliking over the rickety bridge over the river to get there was a trip. The Americans with disabilities act would have a fit over that bridge. Any way - Thanks again Please send me your VRBO # so I can keep it in my files for a return trip. Thanks again for everything - Bobby (and Linda)

Hi Gretchen, We all had a wonderful time. We fished a lot at the back of the condo. One day we went on a kayaking trip, which was really nice. We went into Lucaya twice. The Christmas tree display in the square was lovely, they had a 3 girl band playing some dance music, so that was fun. We went to a nice restaurant (I forget the name, it was right at the entrance of Taino beach) the food was very good. We enjoyed the swimming pool, especially little Keegan. Infact, the week went far too quickly. We were out most of the time on the beach. All in all, we accomplished what I intended – a nice family vacation where we all got to enjoy each other’s company in beautiful surroundings. Happy New Year and thank you for sharing your home with us. Vivian.

Hello Gretchen, I just wanted to let you know that my family and I had a wonderful time last week. Your condo was spacious and clean and your folder was very helpful. Everything was great and Sarah was a great host. I will definitely recommend your place if any of my friends decide to come down there on vacation. -Andrew
