Despite a rainy weekend, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come here again. We were amazed at how well stocked the place is--with nice as well as casual dishes, nicer pots and pans than I have at home, a great selection of CDs--even binoculars and coffee. The owner was so nice and accommodating. Looking forward to doing this again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My two siblings, their spouses, my husband, and our Labrador Retriever enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at this ideal hideaway spot. We spent time catching up with each other, cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, playing games at the kitchen and coffee tables, warming up by the indoor and outdoor fires, and just overall relaxing. Even though the weather was chilly outside, we were toasty and warm with plenty of blankets, throws, the heater and fireplaces, and good hot showers. The chalet had everything and more! We enjoyed 9 holes of golf and fried chicken at Hanneken's on Saturday, and even braved taking the pontoon out on the windy waters on Sunday. Diane and Eric are such great hosts, making us feel so comfortable and welcome before, during, and after our stay. The booking process was simple and painless. We will most definitely be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our family vacation in this beautiful Chalet on Lake Aspen. This was our first time staying at Innsbrook and we loved it! We have rented many homes through VRBO and these owners were the most helpful and accomodating. We enjoyed the boat and highly recommend boating around Lake Aspen. We used the fire pit for a bonfire and made smores. We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. We enjoyed early morning coffee, bird watching, games and most of our meals on this lovely deck. Happy Memories were made during our stay. The listing description was accurate and helped us plan our trip. We felt that the photos did not do this lovely Chalet justice. We were delighted by all the thoughtful touches we found when we arrived. This Chalet was extremely clean and well appointed. We enjoyed preparing all of our meals at the Chalet and also were happy to find a great gas grill that was so easy to use to prepare our favorite barbeque. We enjoyed the Saturday night BLUES CONCERT at The Farm. It was truly a grand weekend! We hope to return during the autumn season.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the lovely review! We are so happy you attended the concert and enjoyed boating on Lake Aspen. Innsbrook works very hard to provide great quality entertainment that is free to all Innsbrook residents and guests. We would love to have you back anytime!

My family, which includes two young children and two dogs, have just returned from a much needed reunion in this lovely Chalet and surrounding Innsbrook property! We felt from the moment we walked in the door that it was a perfect place for a family! The Chalet has comfortable and private bedrooms/bathrooms, yet the open (well appointed) kitchen, dining and living area allowed everyone to be involved with whatever was going on. Plenty of linens, including beach towels were very much appreciated, not to mention how helpful it was to have a washer & dryer to keep things washed when playing near sand and water. The deck is amazing, perfect for outdoor grilling and dinning al fresco. The gate on the upper deck is so helpful when you have kids and pets. We are a resourceful group and found that the upper deck Adirondack chairs, are not only great for morning coffee, but positioned on either end of the upper deck, they make great mini-soccer goals. So with one of the little guys in tow, played a bit of mini-soccer, with kids giggling and learning that even mini-soccer can be a bit competitive! We took the pontoon boat (which was easy to operate) out on the lakes packed with picnic lunch, kites and beach games and found several of the small beaches wonderful to stop and spend a bit of time on the shore; then re-board and spend more time on the water, finding another spot to get-out and do the same. We enjoyed a little tennis and some shuffle board in the public areas too. The fire pit between the house and water is just fun, stacked with wood just waiting for a match…did someone say s’mores and some add-to ghost stories?…yes we did it all! Needless to say, we can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay, made enjoyable from the first communications with the owners, complete with offers of ‘call us if you need anything’… Our family has been blessed with opportunities to travel and experience a variety of accommodations over the years, this Chalet was perfect for this type of a family reunion and get-together. I send a special thank you to the owners for the ease of each step of the planning for this trip for my family!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Wow Dena, I'm so glad you had a great time! Thank you for the wonderful review. We just added the fire pit this Spring and we are so happy you were the first to "break it in". Please come back anytime!! Diane

Our family converged on Innsbrook for Thamksgiving. The chalet was perfect for the clan--five adults and three kiddos. Views were magnificent, quiet, peaceful, pleasant places to walk. The cooks in the group commented on how well equipped the kitchen was. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Diane was very communicative and helpful. All-in-all an extremely pleasant experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for the lovely review. This chalet is really great for family get-togethers and I'm thrilled you were able to celebrate Thanksgiving at Innsbrook!

Our family has stayed at Innsbrook on several occasions. We love it so much, we are in the processes of purchasing land, so that we can build a cabin. With that said, we have been back and forth a lot and had the opportunity to stay in several of the chalets available for rent. We've liked them all for different reasons, but this Chalet...is by far our favorite!! We like EVERYTHING here! My four year old loved the Woodstock collection of CDs...perfect vibe for the weekend. The energy in this home is just amazing. It hit us as soon as we walked in...just felt the love of family and friends. My older son and I have allergies and with the season's changing, they've been a mess...I know it sounds silly...but I truly appreciated all the boxes of tissues through-out the chalet...and clocks...they were everywhere...you have so much fun that you forget what time it is...so it was nice to look up and realize that it was 11am and maybe we should get breakfast! The mattresses at this place were very comfortable, not soft and springy, like others and the heating worked excellent and the sheeting was super soft. My boys slept with big oversized stuffed animals...and loved the cozy loft with bean bags. The window treatments in the bedrooms, were great for keeping the sun out, so we all slept wonderfully. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some and Diane was great to work with and answer any questions we may have had. The only thing we were missing was a area for a bonfire...but she said they are working on that for next year! We did use the fire place every night! The dogs fell asleep in front of it! We utilized the boat and enjoyed fishing and there was a field at the end of the road...so we let the dogs run a bit...although they are to remain leashed at all times, ours have great training and enjoyed the exercise. She also has a gate on the deck, so we could leave them outside as well, which worked out great! We just had a splendid time and I hate writing such a great review, as I don't want the chalet to get overbooked, because we'll be staying here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I'm so glad you had a great time! We enjoyed having you. I love those big stuffed animals too. We look forward to having you back again soon.

My family and I try to get to Innsbrook several times a year, as it is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. It is close enough to St. Louis that we can leave after work, and still be there in plenty of time to get the grill started, and have a great dinner out on the deck. We travel quite a bit, and have rented many places over the years, including multiple places at Innsbrook. I have to say that the owners of this particular property are at the top of our list when it comes to accomadations, and we will definitely return! The house is exactly what it is advertised to be, and any issues/questions were handled by the owners immediately. The home is very well stocked (better than you would expect), extremely well taken care of, and has lots of space to spread out if needed. The deck off of the back is very large, and is great for grilling, outdoor dining, and has plenty of room for the entire family. While there, we took advantage of the nature trails, horseback riding options, and even got in a game of what my kids call "giant chess", which is a large chess board located next to the tennis courts. Unfortunately it did rain the day we had a tee time, however, the house is very well stocked with board games and DVD's, which gave us plenty to do, even on a rainy day! We also took advantage of the boat that you can rent with the house, and enjoyed a sunset cruise with a bottle of wine & some beers, and got some fishing in the next day before the rain set in. All in all, I would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away to Innsbrook. The location is great, and you won't have to worry about having any issues...just relaxing and enjoying yourself!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for the great review. We also enjoy the new expanded deck; we feel like we are in the tree tops while looking over the lake. It's our favorite place at the chalet. We look forward to having you back again soon!

What a blessing it is to have such wonderful accomodations just 45 minutes from St. Louis! The chalet was beautiful and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable for our large family. We cooked all our meals in the well-equipped kitchen or grilled on the barbecue on the deck. The resort amenities kept us busy and active during the day. We swam at the beaches, used the resort pool, played tennis and hiked. The owner was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend this chalet for a peaceful retreat close to the city.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you very much to our first guest! We enjoyed having you and look forward to having you back again soon.

Owner info

About the owner: Eric and Diane Moyerman. We both love the outdoors and enjoy almost all of the amenities Innsbrook offers. We bike the hills almost every day, swim and attend the many concerts, movies and activities planned by the resort. We have two great dogs. Freddi is a mutt, ahem, I mean mixed breed (but cute as can be) and Cocoa is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Cocoa LOVES to fetch sticks from the lake. She'll get in the water even when it's icy cold - I don't know how she does it... We bought our first Innsbrook Chalet in 2007 as a peaceful retreat from our hectic lives. Initially we didn't have any electronic media - no computer service, no TV or movies, only the radio. We did that on purpose because Innsbrook truly is a place to relax and decompress. Even though we've added movies, satelite TV and wireless internet for our guests, we still focus on having fun 'the old-fashioned way.' For us, Innsbrook is a place to talk, laugh, eat, swim, make memories with family and friends, throw a stick for the dog, sit by the fire, and just be together.
Why the Owner Chose Innsbrook:
There are two large lakes at Innsbrook, Lake Aspen and Lake Alpine. Our chalets are on Lake Aspen. We prefer this Lake because it is closer to the main gate, golf course, pool, restaurant, tennis courts and fitness center. When we first visited this chalet we stepped out onto the back deck and the view took our breath away. We've had guests compare this view to Colorado, North Carolina, Tennessee; it's not a typical 'Missouri' view even for scenic Innsbrook. We expanded the back deck precisely because we felt sitting on the deck and enjoying the view was this property's best feature.
Our second favorite feature about this chalet is it's comfortable and spacious interior. It was renovated in 2007 and it has the feel of a brand new chalet. Our guests OFTEN say the photos don't do it justice.
Our third favorite thing about this chalet is the fire pit that also gives you a great view of the lake. Especially in the Spring and Fall, it's wonderful fun to have a real fire outside, make real S'mores from scratch, tell real ghost stories, and experience nature up close and personal.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
This is a small but very important detail about Innsbrook: all of the electric lines are underground, so there are no overhead lines to interrupt your view of nature. You'll be amazed at how much this small thing enhances your visit. The resort is still owned by the original developers, and they emphasize nature, peace and quiet (only electric boats allowed) and family fun. Many of the permanent residents here are retired, but it's also a great place for young kids - it's common to see three or four generations of family enjoying each other here. How many other places can you think of that are welcoming to all ages?
