  This home is truly a tropical paradise and the inside space is as lovely as the outside. Every room is very nicely decorated and the furniture and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen. Shawn was great to work with and her house manager, Daniel was great. He helped us set up tours and was available to answer questions 24/7 . The Costa del Sol community is secure and conveniently located close to the beach and Manuel Antonio. We truly had a great Costa Rica vacation.

  Look no further. This is the place. What a bargin and no downsides. These owners provide more then you pay for and their advise and tips are right on. No surprises and no disappointments . Daniel, their property manager booked all our tours which were great. Our first night, he arranged for some locals to come in and prepare our group a home cooked Costa Rican dinner. What a way to start a vacation! Everything about this home and our experiences rate 9s and 10s. Your are close to everthing but only hear the ocean in the background. Our only regret is we should have stayed at least 2 weeks as there is so much to see and experience.

  We stayed in this home during the period Jan 26-30, 2013. Before our trip the owners of the property were extremely helpful in preparing us for our journey - with everything from directions from the airport, recommendations on where to rent a car, tips on where to buy groceries and sightsee, and all the information we needed to know about the home prior to arrival. The home was even better than we had imagined after viewing the photos on www.vrbo,com. Upon arrival at Costa del Sol (the neighborhood in which the home is situated) we knew we were in for a treat. The neighborhood is a gated community with a gorgeous community pool area, friendly staff, and well-cared for properties. We felt very safe during our stay. Within walking distance is a small grocery store, a breathtaking beach, and two hotels with great food and service. The home is decorated with a relaxing, tropical feel, is very comfortable, and extremely clean. The outside courtyard features a sparkling pool, cabana and covered patio with a grill for outdoor meals. We spent a good portion of our trip just enjoying the home, cooking meals and hanging out poolside, but there were also plenty of opportunities for sightseeing nearby, and the beach is only about a 10 minute walk from the home. Speaking of the beach, it is by far the most impressive beach we have ever visited (and we have seen quite few) and was definitely a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. It feels like you have the whole thing to yourself and is full of soft sand, wonderful shells, sand dollars and fantastic waves! We also loved spending time at Hotel Del Fin which is just a quick walk from the home. We had the fish tacos there at least three times and loved that it was so close to both the house and the beach! We stayed in this home with another couple and had plenty of breathing room... we could have easily accommodated 2 other people and would not have been crowded. My favorite parts of the home were definitely the pool and the amazing bedding from The Company Store... I am on a hunt to get the same bedding for my own home! I would highly recommend staying at this property... it is an incredible value for everything you get, and a vacation that you will not soon forget!

  We just spent a lovely week at Casa 46 in lovely Playa Bejuco with some good friends (2 couples total). This home has all the "American" luxuries you would want in a vacation home only you're located off the beaten path near one of the most gorgeous beaches I have ever seen. The private pool in the backyard is lovely, perfect for a few friends sitting around chatting and keeping cool. The bbq and large outdoor table is great for bbq fresh veggies and meat found in Parrita. The house is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The sheets, pillows and towels were very high quality. We took note to their brand and plan to pick up some for our own home. Shawn's (owner) directions for getting to the house from San Jose, to all the little "how to's" for the house, tips for local eateries are perfect. You will be hard press to find something that Shawn hasn't already thought about and written down for you. Daniel, the property manager, is lovely as well. He can provide you with a multitude of ideas for adventures and he'll make your reservation and give you detailed directions for how to get there. We recommend the Planet Dolphin tour in Quepos - wonderful catamaran trip with snorkeling, drinks/food, dolphin watching and swimming. Photos of a lifetime on that little adventure. A car is a must and decent Spanish (or a good Spanish-english dictionary) is helpful. When you off the beaten path you may not run into people who speak any English but if thats' the case do not worry, everyone is extremely helpful and patient. We will absolutely return to Casa 46. We checked out many beaches nearby but found Playa Bejuco to be the best.

  My family and I spent the new eve at this property. We had a great time out of the traffic and population of the city!. Very nice house, excellent location close enough to the beach and San Jose too. I love the fact of having a pool in the house, all the things neeeded to have a wonderful vacation were found here. The local property manager Daniel was also excellent, always willing to help and available to ensure we had a great time too. Property was clean and nice decorated. We are even thinking to come back for Holly week, since we loved the place!.

  We had an amazing stay at casa 46 near Bejuco Beach. The house is beautiful, with lush trees and flowers all around the pool. The neighborhood is quiet, with a very friendly staff at the gate. We went several times to Bejuco beach--dark velvet sand, warm water and shallow with good waves. There are rip tides in that area of Costa Rica, so we were careful, but had no issues whatsoever. The beach was open and so lovely--coconut trees and such green vegetation. Not at all crowded--basically empty for our enjoyment, as we visited at the very beginning of the dry season. We ate Tico food (costa rica chicken/fish, beans and rice, plantains) many times and very much enjoyed it. Other than one hotel in Bejuco, the good eateries were all 15-20 minute drives--we especially liked Las Tejas, an open air tico restaurant in Esterillo Oeste, just 15 minutes away. We left the windows open and the fans on most of the time, it was beautiful with a light breeze. The air conditioners worked very well when we used them, we just liked fresh air. There were a few iguanas, some 18 inches long and colorful, who sunned in the neighborhood--very peaceful companions. The birds were a bright and musical accompaniment. We took a waterfall tour with the group in the notebook on the table--Costa Rica Waterfall Tours. Our guide, Vlad, was so friendly, knowledgeable and a wicked-good driver on the mountain roads. Our six year old daughter was able to stand behind a huge waterfall, and we hiked all over, seeing several other breathtaking cataracts of water. It was an amazing experience and a memory we will not soon forget. Costa Rica as a country has done such a good job of protecting forests and animals. Overall, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property. The vacation was amazing, the owner gave us loads of great information and suggestions for places to eat and see. The house was comfortable, spacious for our family of three, and beautifully, simply decorated. The nearby beach perfect with warm water and good waves (my husband boogie boarded as well). We will certainly go back, so if you book it--don't pick the week we want, okay?

  This home is terrific inside and out. my wife and I had a wonderful stay there. We really didn't want to leave after our week was up. The house is very comfortable with great interior and the patio is like having a piece of heaven. The private pool and manicured back yard was serene. Shawn went out of her way from start to finish to make sure our stay was pleasant. We just can't stop thanking her for allowing us the use of her fantastic home. My wife and I travel a lot and this is by far one of the best places we rented. Make sure you take the tour to Tortuga Island whlie there (it was fantastic!). We booked the yacht through Jaco 360 (in the town of Jaco).

  Beautiful three bedroom spacious house in gated community but within easy walk to beach. Found sand dollars on early morning walk on beach. Had beach to ourselves. Close to quaint towns and restaurants but short drive to more commercial Jaco. Favorite moments were early morning coffee while reading on the covered porch beside the pool.

Rates are for up to 6 people. Additional occupants will be charged $10/person/night. Maximum occupancy is 8.

Rates do not include electricity. Electricity will be calculated at the end of rental and deducted from the security deposit.

Rentals longer than 2 weeks will require an additional security deposit depending on length of stay
