This is not your typical cottage.
Located on 200 feet of lakefront with breathtaking views of both the sunrise and sunset from your private deck, this lovely one bedroom house is perfect for a romantic getaway for two.
45 minutes from Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls and right off the New York State Parkway, the location couldn't be more convenient. With cable TV, WiFi, public water, air conditioning and ample heat plus countless amenities, you'll be on vacation the moment you arrive.
Just as lovely in the spring and fall as it is in the summer, this location is the perfect spot for parents visiting students in Brockport, Rochester, Niagara or Buffalo. Lake Ontario turns a vibrant dark blue in the spring and fall and a walk among the changing foliage in Lakeside Park is simply spectacular. On chillier nights, our fire pit provides a cozy place for you to comfortably linger well past sunset. Long summer evenings will amaze you with skies loaded with stars, the likes of which can only be seen in the country.
The unit is all on one floor, and includes a queen-size bed, full kitchen and living room, as well as a full bathroom with shower. The entire house has been completely remodeled, and is absolutely gorgeous inside.
The property borders on Lakeside Park, where you can enjoy miles of hiking along the breathtaking bluffs on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. A new 18 hole disc golf course is also available for your enjoyment.
In the area you will find several golf courses, fresh produce, a drive-in movie theater and wonderful restaurants. The house is nestled in a lakeside hamlet less than 15 minutes from the Erie Canal. Kayaking and canoeing opportunities along local creeks and waterways abound. You will find each nearby town loaded with unique shops, local landmarks and fascinating history. When you return back to the lake, you'll find the perfect location to relax and read that book you have been looking forward to. Most importantly, you'll have a chance to reconnect with nature and each other.

My husband and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary and wanted to find a quiet location to relax. This little home was perfect. Everything was fresh and clean and Maureen and Darcy were so nice to make us feel at home. The location is perfect for getting a "feel" for New York countryside. We loved the fruit and veggie stands along the roads. We were still close enough to Niagara Falls to sight see yet not have the busyness of the City. We enjoyed staying right on Lake Ontario and my husband was happy he was able to go fishing. The entire week was very enjoyable!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Debbie and Dale, Congratulations again on your anniversary! 40 years is quite an accomplishment! I was glad to hear that Dale had such a good time fishing. I understand from your earlier note that he caught a 30# King Salmon and a 15# Northern Pike. (And there were bigger fish that got away!) You will have to reveal his fishing spot- it sounds like a real winner. It was wonderful meeting you both and we hope to see you again! Warm regards, Maureen and Darcy

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Point Breeze and wish we could have stayed many more. It is a beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet. You not only get to view the sunrise, you also get to see the sun set. It's amazing. The home was immaulate and just the right size for us. The deck overlooking the lake was fabulous. I spent an afternoon there intending to read my book but ended up staring off over the lake and then falling asleep. Maureen and Darcy met us at the house when we arrived to show us around and are genuinely kind and caring people. I wish we could have seen a little more of them. We want to return to upstate New York - there is so much more we want to see around the area. We made it to Niagara Falls of course, saw the local lighthouses and even made it to Toronto and a Blue Jays game. Next time we will be bringing our kayaks and bicycles. The countryside is so beautiful there. Thank you Maureen and Darcy for sharing your home away from home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Frank and Lynn You are not the only ones who comment that time flies by here on the lake, even though the pace is calm and slow. We hope to see you back and next time we hope you can stay a few days longer! Take care Maureen and Darcy

A cute little cottage that was very clean and with every need provided for. The owners were very nice, and helpful with information about what was nearby, and recommended a restaurant in Medina, Zambistro which was excellent. There was also an Amish store nearby, which was really interesting, with a deli, bakery and general store. We got "frypies", which was Saturday's special. We were sorry we were only able to spend two days at this cottage, as it was very relaxing. An added bonus was being able to see both the sunset and sunrise, as the area is on somewhat of a point on the lake. The pictures were accurate, as far as the beauty of the area. The street was very quiet, and the atmosphere was friendly, as most of the neighbors know each other. and stop to talk to each other. There was also a fishing area nearby, Oak Orchard Creek, which had a nice little restaurant as well. We also were able to have a fire to sit out at night, and there were plenty of comfy chairs and a nice deck for sitting, both at the cottage and by the water. The only downside was that there was no actual beach, it was rocky, but it was nice to listen to the waves crash on the rocks anyway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: Kathy and Dale, What a pleasure it was meeting you both! We often have guests snapping pictures of the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, but judging from the quality of the pictures you sent after your stay, I doubt many others have taken such beautiful pictures. We are so glad you enjoyed the opportunity to relax, and hope to see you both back again soon. Warm Regards, Maureen and Darcy

Fantastic cottage with never ending views on Lake Ontario. The cottage is located in a wonderful little community on Lake Ontario. Just recently refurbished the cottage was well appointed and had every feature you could want from a Large Flat Screen TV, Wireless Internet or even better numerous places to relax from a hammock to the lake shore deck. I would highly recommend this wonderful cottage and plan to return in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Sandra and Dean How fun it was to have some local Albion folks return for their class reunion! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and had such a good time reconnecting with your friends from high school. We hope to see you back soon! Maureen and Darcy

I can not put into words how satisfied we were with our stay! It was perfect and even better than described in every way. The property was VERY clean and comfortable and the owner went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. I had several questions both before and after making the reservation and she answered them all very quickly. Again, I can not put into words how happy we were with our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to any couple in the Niagara area. In fact we hope to visit it again in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Wonderful spot with engaging hosts! Immaculate cottage, outstanding views, a different and stunning sunset every evening. Plenty of privacy. Fresh local produce nearby; other provisions 20 min. drive. Hardest decision was which comfy chair to choose!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: I am so glad you were able to take advantage of all the fabulous produce in the area! Your experience of making a meal out of our wonderful local corn and our delicious tomatoes and cucumbers is not unique. Between the melons and the cherries, the berries and the peppers, it is sometimes very hard to judge exactly what to bring home. We have had many a vegan guest rave about the abundance of local produce in the area, and like yourselves, wash down those veggies with a nice glass of wine!

Our stay was incredible. The house was equipt with everything that we would need on our stay and the view was absolutely amazing! Maureen and Darcy welcomed us and were very informative. I would highly recommend this property! I hope to be back in the future!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: I know it can be pretty scary renting a house you've only seen in pictures from people you only know via the internet. That is why we really appreciate all the kind words from guests like you! They mean so much more than anything we can put in our description of the property. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to see you back in the future!

We are frequent VRBO users and have enjoyed many lovely properties, but this cosy little cottage on Lake Ontario was exceptional. An old lakeside cabin completely modernized by the owners, it's both sparkling clean and eye pleasing. It's location directly on the lake with a view forever of sunrises and sunsets from a marvellous deck perched right on the water adds to its charm. The neighbourhood consisting mostly of summer vacation cottages on a cul-de-sac ensures welcome peace and quiet. Point Breeze is a great location for exploring Western New York - wineries, quaint towns and villages on the Erie Canal with its endless bicycle path and Niagara Falls and Rochester less than an hour away. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and we can't think of a more cosy or peaceful location for a couple seeking a restful and restorative getaway than this.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your very kind words! We are so glad you were able to enjoy the many amenities the area has to offer and we would love to see you back soon!

I am so grateful to have found this perfect little cottage at the last minute for some serious down time! It is brand new, perfectly appointed and has an amazing location! I use vrbo.com often and sometimes the rentals are a little too "familiar". This is just like a hotel with very welcoming hosts! No remnants of past visitors, well designed and soooooooooooooo relaxing! There are many cute towns and fresh markets along the lakefront Highway 18 that I haven't had time to explore yet. Yum! Although I think I will stay away from the one that says both Taxidermy and Cheese on the sign! I picked bad weather, but am so comfortable just staying in with the view that I don't miss the lake at all yet. This is well priced and I hope to hide here many times this summer!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Paige, You were such a delightful guest and I am so glad you were able to get the R&R you were looking for. We'd absolutely love to have you back and next time hopefully Mother Nature will bring non-stop sunshine! Good luck in the new job and we'll keep our fingers crossed that our paths cross again soon. About the owner: My husband and I grew up in the Rochester area. We both came from large families and we love to travel and entertain. We enjoy this unique location on the lake so much, when the opportunity arose, we bought the house next door! We're happy to provide you with tips on good restaurants and fun things to do in the area, as well as directions on how to get wherever you want to go. We love this place and we want to make sure you do too!
Why the Owner Chose Point Breeze:
This location is ideal in so many ways: it is 45 minutes from home, it is quiet and private, it has gorgeous views of the lake, Lakeside Park is a hidden treasure and it is in our back yard, we can leave on a Friday after work and enjoy dinner on the deck an hour later. Few people know about this location. The property tends to stay in families for generations and has remained a hidden treasure we were lucky enough to learn about through my uncle who introduced our family to this beautiful spot in 1959.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
There are few places I know of, where you can walk outside in your pajamas, cup of coffee and newspaper in hand and as you head to the deck you look out on the vastness of the lake and see six beautiful swans gliding by. You have to wonder... how could I beat this?
