Breathtaking views of sunrise on the west shore mountains and sunset behind them...we have hundreds of photos as each sunset is more beautiful than the last!
This property has been in the family for nearly 80 years and sports a colorful history. There is a private beach and a couple of acres to poke around in. A great fishing spot, as Cave Rock is where the lake is stocked.
Enjoy the large great room with stone fireplace and the dining area and deck views to the sparkling blue of the lake....a perfect place to spend one of those magical Tahoe Sunday mornings......

We stayed for 4 days and didn't want to leave! The home is beautiful, charming and spacious with an old Tahoe feel. Built in the 1920's, its been updated and lovingly maintained. We held our daughter's wedding here; there was plenty of room for the 14 of us staying on the property. In addition, we had dining and dancing outdoors for 45 guests. The kitchen and living areas are huge...there was more than enough room for our family, guests, caterers and various other vendors that were on the property all day Friday & Saturday. A magical place for family and friends to create some wonderful memories!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I am so delighted that your stay was a wonderful one! Best of all to the bride and groom and all of their guests 1

I can't add any more glowing remarks but let me try. We had a family get together for my wifes and my 5th wedding anniversary. She picked this place and what a gem she found. I hate telling anyone about this but will do so because the owners deserve a lot of cred for sharing this place. Our grandchildren loved it as our children did so too. The telling sign is when we felt a little down when we had to leave and return to the real world. I would definately return if available.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is an amazing home. It's the perfect place if you are not looking for high tech but want a pleasant place to spend time with family. The grandkids actually put down their games and went outside and swam and played. It's a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped home with an amazing master suite. The kitchen is perfect for preparing large meals and the seating is more than adequate. The beach is great and the view is to die for. We've already discussed possibly returning next year. (hope we can make it happen)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: We are so glad you had a memorable family vacation!

Fantastic home! A great place for family and/or friends to get away for a vacation. The house is large and charming. It definitely has the Tahoe feel. We enjoyed the beautiful patio over looking the lake, the private beach with umbrellas and kayaks and ended the evening watching the sun set. This home allowed for plenty of space for our family and friends not only to stay but to cook big dinners in the kitchen and eat under the sun and stars. The owners are friendly, and very responsive. We will definitely be going back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay....it's a magical place!

Year Purchased: 1932
About the owner: Inherited property that has been in the family for over 80 years!
Why the Owner Chose Cave Rock:
This property has been in the family since 1932. Remodeled in 1990's it still has the old Tahoe feel with knotty pine interiors. We've had three family weddings and many holiday celebrations, dips in the lake at midnight and roaring fires.
