The house is excellent and represents a unique opportunity to stay in Vernon. Views are spectacular!! The home is well equipped,comfortable and executive in all regards. Joanne and Dave are gracious hosts and very helpful. We highly recommend this home. short or long term. We will be back!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The home for us was in a perfect location as our family attended a wedding in north west Vernon. The home was very spacious and exceeded are expectations with respect to the web site and was very well maintained. The owners were very helpful in both the check in and check out process and we would definately recommend this property to friends and relatives. We were mostly busy with the wedding over the weekend but we did enjoy hiking up Turtle Mountain with the grand children. We also had time to visit some of the wineries in the area and enjoyed the view over the valley from the rear deckRecommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Beautiful home ideally located. 10 of us stayed for a week. Home has every comfort imaginable and is within easy driving distance for Silver Star, the lakes & golf courses. Owners made the booking process, checking in and out - seamless, easy and quick. Would not hesitate to stay again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Debbie and her family were in town for a wedding at Sparkling Hill Resort. Her thought was to book a home at Predator Ridge, next to Sparking Hill, but noticed that the area was out of Vernon aways. Our property worked out perfectly for them, as they were just minutes from the many activities that they did during their stay. The great room concept and the large deck are a really nice way to visit with everybody, yet there is enough privacy with the two floors and sound insulated bedrooms, if you need some quiet time.

Attended our neice's wedding in Vernon and the home worked out perfectly. The home is all found with just about everything you could need.. Well maintained. great view. This home would be hard to beat. We know where we will be staying in Vernon the next time the extended family is looking for a great place to stay. Owners very pleasant and helpful.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Dave and Joanne, We enjoyed our stay in your house on Turtle Mountain in Vernon. The view was absolutely spectacular with every morning waking up to 12 to 15 deer in our backyard. The house was beautiful also, very comfortable and very well equipped. We were able to host a dinner party for 12 for our family in BC with no problem. We were fortunate to stay @ Dave & Joanne’s Turtle Mountain vacation home for most of June 2011. . The home is fantastic - it is a spacious, well appointed house. The amenities of the house (appliances & furnishings) are first rate. The views of Vernon & surrounding hills & the north arm of Lake Okanagan from the full length deck are incredible. There are great restaurants & shopping just 5 minutes to downtown. We were warmly greeted by Dave & Joanne upon arrival. Dave is a veritable fountain of information on all things Vernon!!! About the owner: Joanne & Dave love to travel too, and appreciate welcoming accomodations, so we have kept that in mind as we have developed our own executive vacation rental home. We started from scratch in 1984, own and operate Briteland Holdings Ltd.. We are very involved in our community, especially in Rotary. We love sports and like to take advantage of all that our area has to offer. Vernon is a year round sports paradise, with world class facilities really handy.

We like to build things, businesses, lives and homes. We are keen about our environment and ecology, and have incorporated many energy efficient features into our Jemma Homes.
Turtle Mountain is a unique and new development in Vernon. It is a classy area of town, and really handy to all the amenities, including sports, shopping, entertainment and dining.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The home and finishings are very comfy, feel welcoming and secure. The street is very quiet as there are homes only on one side of the street. The views of the valley, lake, and mountains are exceptional. Yet, the home is only minutes from downtown.
We have invested in good beds and furnishings, so the stay will be comfortable.
The on site mini office is handy with a computer, printer, scanner, photo copier, as well as unlimited long distance calling for North America.
Guests have really enjoyed the deck area, as they can view lots of wildlife, so far including deer, fox, porcupine, lynx, marmots, hawks, eagles and many other bird species.
There are several hiking trails for your morning or evening walk. The air is clear.
The house has been designed with a 'great room' concept, so that the person in the kitchen can interact with their guests in the living room. No one feels left out of the conversation.
A favorite spot for us is the deck off the master bedroom, accessed by French doors.
We have finished the basement bedrooms, bathroom and louge area to allow flexibility of our guests. Shoudl you have children, or need a quiet time, there is room for all!.
