About the owner: This is a family owned cottage. As a child, my family would come up to the cottage for summer vacations. Now, we all live in the area, so we use it to enjoy time with friends and for family at the holidays. My grandmother was a teacher in the area, my mom grew up in Muskegon; she now owns the cottage. I live and work here and manage the online account and do all the gardening at the cottage.
Why the Owner Chose Muskegon: My grandmother bought this cottage in the 60's, and when she passed on, my parents took on the cottage. It is on a quiet end of the lake, surrounded mostly by year round residents. It was a fun place to learn to waterski and to just play in the sun and water. The lake was at an all time low last year, but with all the snow - it looks like it has come up some but is still an easy wade in and shallow.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage: On a quiet end of the lake, but just off highway so easy access to everything. You are no more than a five - ten minute drive from malls, the beach, Lake Michigan, restaurants, grocery stores - it is all here. Muskegon is a busy place in the summer with free music in many places, art fairs and museums, a WWI submarine that is also a museum, lighthouses, etc.
