This luxurious home has a modern international flare yet still manages to attain the essence of a traditional Irish holiday cottage. This is accredited to the warm interior of a elegant walnut floor, loose rugs, soft furnishings and the traditional wood-burning stove.
There are beautiful views over the harbour from our elevated living room.
You can even bargain with a local fisherman for a freshly caught lobster for dinner!
After an exciting day on the Atlantic or discovering local treasures or exploring the surrounding villages our large holiday home is the ideal retreat for bringing family and friends together, entertaining or simply, relaxing.
Upstairs boasts a very large open-plan romantic, light-filled space, incorporating the kitchen, a comfortable seating area, two dining areas, three large windows overlooking the enchanting harbour and an outdoor balcony for a blissful breakfast or brunch, or a leisurely afternoon tea.
In the evenings, our elevated seating area is the most idyllic setting for absorbing the captivating sun-sets over Castle haven harbour while enjoying a barbecue or glass of wine.
For your additional pleasure, the house contains two separate games rooms to entertain every age from dusk until dawn or distract you from the rain outside on a blustery day.
We also have a sister vacation rental in the nearby village of Baltimore in West Cork. This luxurious costal home has 5 bedrooms and also a detached unit. It sleeps 8-10 people. You can view details and photographs at the vrbo listing number 381868 or email me for more information.
We also have vacation rentals in the West Cork village of Durrus. These homes have 5 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms dependent on your needs. They sleep 5-8 people. You can view details and photographs on sheepshead4holidayhomes.com or email me for more information.

My husband and our three chidren rented this home for a week for our first trip to Ireland and were greeted personally by the owners with a welcome basket. The house was beautiful and very clean and comfy. The location was perfect.A 2 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to Union Hall, a wonderful Irish fishing village. The house had everything we needed and more. The views were amazing and the people in Union Hall were delightful. It was a great first trip to Ireland and I would love to comeRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We are a couple that live in Cork City that have busy home and work lives with a teenage family.
Why the Owner Chose Union Hall:
The reason why we chose this area was not only for the spectacular views and its short commuting distance from Cork City but primarily for the community that live there and the friendliness of the people in the local village.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Everybody who has visited our house has yearned to return. One of the most interesting aspects of the area is the fact that there are so many interesting bays and sheltered coves and islands to explore. There is always something new.
