  "We love this place! We have rented here for 5 years and will continue to do so whenever we come to Florida. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet is convenient to the shops and restaurants in beautiful Sarasota and near-by Venice. There is also good shopping and eating right in Nokomis. We walk or bike or both everyday on the Legacy Trail, which can be accessed on foot. There is ample opportunity for kayaking and swimming as well. The home is lovely, very clean and well appointed, from the wonderfully efficient cooking range to the over-sized refrigerator stocked with frosted beer mugs which immediately get us in the vacation mode! There are all kinds of kitchen aids: microwave, two types of coffee maker, a dishwasher, and utensils and dishware of every kind; in addition there is a fully equipped laundry room. As you enter, the view through the home to the glass retractable doors with the large patio and pool beyond are so impressive and add a touch of luxury. Once a week we walk to the Nokomis beach to join neighbors in a joyous musical farewell to a setting sun over the clear, turquoise-blue water. Whether an active vacation or a pleasant rest in beautiful surroundings is desired, we highly recommend the home in Nokomis" Joan and Al, Canton, CT

  We have been renting in Florida for several years and have always been pleased with our rentals. Unfortunately, this was not the case with this property in Nokomis this past March. To be fair the location was good, the kitchen was well equiped and the house was very clean. However, the negatives far outweighed the positives. First, we were never informed that the pool was not heated. In fact we learned from 2 service people that the heater was broken. Very disappointing. The WiFi codes supplied were incorrect and it wasn't until we had a computer savy friend visit after 2 weeks could we connect wirelessly. The refridgerator and freezer were half full as was the closet in the master bedroom. There was also another car in the 2 car garage. It was like sharing the house with someone else. In the master, the bed was 34 inches high, not the easiest to climb aboard. Also the armoire had limited drawer space and the TV inside was too low to be seen from the bed. The living room and den were very dark and in the second bedroom the only way to turn the reading lights over the bed on and off was to stand on the bed. Rediculous. The owner was not very responsive to our complaints. Bottom line we would not recommend this property.

  My wife and I rented the home for two wonderful weeks in December 2012. We selected the house based on the pictures in VRBO, but the pictures did not capture the charm and warmth of the home. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The house has a nice layout whereby you can see through the house to the pool and the lanai from the front door. The three sliding glass doors all fold together to open up the back of the great room to the lanai. The lanai has plenty of space for the lounges and the table with chairs. A portion of the lanai is covered so we could sit outside for breakfast/lunch the one day we had a little rain. There is a very nice grill available for use by renters. There are many personal touches that make this house so comfortable. The kitchen opens to the great room giving you an open feeling. The kitchen is equipped with any item you need for cooking or preparing food, just like home, not like a rental unit. The master bedroom king-size bed was wonderful. The bed was firm and the sheets were so nice, we wanted to take them home with us. We really appreciated the Wi-Fi so we could connect our PCs from any room. The large flat-screen TV in the great room and the comfortable couch made it a pleasure to watch all the sports and pageantry during the holidays. The neighbors were very friendly and took the time to chat with us when we were outside walking. They made us feel at home during our stay. I really enjoyed the proximity to the Legacy Trail, about a 15 minute walk from the house, since I like to walk/run every day. Go south on the trail and enjoy the view from the bridge about a mile south of Laurel Rd. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative, and would be interested in renting again.
